Has anyone had success with this? Trying to see if I can import clothed DAZ avatars or clothed avatars from CLO. Not have success with hair/eyelashes/eyes. 

I would like to know please how to get an outline.For exampleI make a shape in Illustrator. I pass it in 3d. I export in .objI import on Adobe substance stagerI apply a textureBut I can't put an outline to my shape.Could you tell me if it is possible and if so how?Thanks in advance and thanks for reading.

   Needing to bring in some trees and vegetation into Stager. is there a best way to do this? The trees are broken down and untextured. The only thing I can see now is to join the pieces of the tree into one mesh, say in maya and inport to painter. Then in Painter to apply each texture to the corresponding part.ButI will need to run the parts of each texture thru Sampler to get something to use in PainterButwhen I try to bring them in the albedo file always gets flagged and refused because of a name conflict. There are not two files of the same name. In any case im out of ideas here. If someone can just give a link or a quick headsup I'd appreciate it very much.

Hi,are there any plans to include Stager in the individual plan for students who do not have access to the ETLA?

Since it appears there's no Enterprise Trial for Substance I was just wondering what people's experiences have been when doing this. Any issues you've come across? Thanks.

I love this program... why does it currupt files and not re open them? Is there a fix? I keep losing hours of work I can't regain.

Hello! I'm trying to render some basic images in high resolution, I stumbled upon an issue when trying to speed up the rendering process with my GPU. (It's a 1070 ti) The only solutions that I've seen on this forum regarding enabling GPU rendering is not apparant. I have the latest graphics drivers, GPU works perfectly fine, I guess I'm just trying to figure out my settings? 

Hi! I've used the Render: Lighting Effects Filter in Photoshop for years, and now that it's unavailable I don't know what to do. I need this feature to insert wallpaper patterns into photographs, and adjust lighting and shadow. I'm having trouble figuring out if Substance Stager is what I now need. Can I layer my photos in Photoshop, then import them into Stager and adjust shadows and lighitng in certain layers? Help!

Dear Team of Adobe,I work with the last Versión od Substance 3d Stager 1.2.0-20220421.r_steam.7132-804036eWhen I change a textures, the software uses a lot of time to show the new paremeters of the texture, the previous version runs better. I work with a intel 10980xe 18 cores , 96 gbytes of ram and a RTX3080 Some times when I duplicate o copy a 3d model, for example a Cube, If I undo the action the deleted cube is changed/converted to a folder. How It´s posible?Thanks in advance.Lu

Hello folks, I feel I must comment  on the pretty poor render engine that Stager uses. It seems to filter out all the really fine textures when compared to the Iray from within Painter. No matter what I try the result from Stager is nothing like the quality I get when rendered directly from within Painter.  I first have to apply a texture to each part of the model in Painter then export the model into Stager and save as a SSG file [ need to do this for every model in the scene ] then assemble the scene in Stager then export as an OBJ into Painter so I can then render using Iray. . The downside to this is I cannot add extra lights ect. But... the render quality is so much better than  that from Stager. Not sure what render engine Stager uses but really wish it was Iray.

Does anyone know if Stager supports the Spec/Gloss workflow? I have an asset I need to render--a model with previously authored textures that use the Spec/Gloss workflow.  I applied the textures in painter, using the PBR Spec Gloss shader.  It's all looking good.  But when I send it to Stager, not only does it not display any textures, but the material options don't seem to supposrt the Spec/Gloss workflow.  Only Metallic Roughness. The only option seeminly availble to me, is to render in IRAY straight in Painter--which seems to work well.  I just wanted the additional rendering option in Stager--lights, cameras, etc. Any insight is appreciated.  Thanks a lot.

Hi, Eagerly awaiting stager to be as good as we hope and wish it to be...these issues listed below are purly to notify the team of issues that need resolving. Issues:RayTracing visual test before full render has become shockingly poor quality (pixelated and grainy) and extremely slow on basic objects like a cube. Screenshots attached.Render mode speed has rapidly increased meaning longer time to see final output.Is there any way I can go back to previous version of stager 1.1.2 as for my computer system it was running relatively fine in comparison to this latest release.No Steam offline mode available to run the software without being online.Ideally a new update is released quickly before other users experience the same issues as me. Computer spec:Mac OS MontereyMacBook Pro 16” 2021M1 Max64gb Stager version:Steam version1.2.0 version Downloaded today ThanksAdam

Adobe people, I rent the whole Adobe Suite for decades. I add the 3D suite (former Allegoritthmic) a year ago. Everything works fine. But today I add Stager and I waste the whole day researching because the artifacts in the UI. Some Adobe experts suggest to check Nvidia Control panel/ Image Sharpening. In the last version of Nvidia cp that setting doesn't exist. I found Image Scaling, with a similar setting, but moving parameters doesnt' fix anything. My specs:windows 10 pro64 RamNvidia Quadro P5000 (16gb)SSD all my HDi7 8700K / 3.7 GHz Any advice before to put in the trash the Stager?Thanks,Diego   

HelloI'm trying to render a shot that I set up in 3ds max to see if we can use Substance Stager in our pipeline, however, I am getting clipping near the camera. On the left is my camera view in 3ds max - the view is set up how I want it and on the right is the same camera imported in Stager. I blurred the image to protect our content but you can clearly see the vehicles and the terrain on the left get clipped out of the view. Is there a way to adjust the near clipping distance in Stager?   

Yes and like that!It would be invaluable for me to have some guidance with respect to a workable Workflow through the 3D applications - can't help thinking that these Apps will be consolidated into ONE sleek, solid package. But, here we are with these largely brilliant seperate concepts with the amalgamated App only a twinkle in our eye.Can anyone point me to information which will tell me which of the apps can share data - why for example is it not possible to open .obj files in Painter? How then must geometry be prepared to make it Open/Importable?I have decades of 3D experience but I find myself unable to grok the workflow...Thanks! 

I install substance 3D stager to try it, but when Iopen it not work 

I'm testing out Stager and so far I like it, but I'm not able to find a subdivision option like "smooth" in Maya.  So far my solution is to simply bump up the polys in zbrush before I bring it into stager, but I feel like this could really bog down Stager if I work with larger models.  Any thoughts?

I just registered a free trial about 2 days but the Stager keep crashing. I just found out, there is problem with an AMD Radeon RX6000 series.I hope this issue can be fix before ending of my trial period so I can try the program, or anyone have any solution? my Laptop spec :CPU : AMD Ryzen 7 5800H with Radeon Graphics 3.20 GHzGPU :AMD Radeon(TM) Graphics Driver version: 30.0.13014.2005 Thanks

I am wanting to teach students how to build little rooms in Stager, but I would like more models than what is provided in the app. What are your go-to places for free models that plug-in well there? I used to grab random things from Google Poly, but they are shut down now. I ran across this: https://substance3d.adobe.com/magazine/weve-added-2000-3d-models-on-substance-3d-assets/ but it seems our university enterprise account doesn't give me access.

I find Stager to be really slow when I render a file. Also, I soon as I open a file in Stager, the computer is lagging, and it’s almost not usable (without me swearing... WTF!) the mouse jumping.I did a small test for comparing rendering time with the same basic file.Dimension render it after 7m53secStager render it after 40m15sec The end ressults was exactly the same (even a bit more clean from Dimension).MacBookPro - Os 10.15.7 - 16 Go RAMNot impressed at all with my experience with Stager so far.

Hey, using M1 pro macbook pro. Never had this issue but i cant zoom out off my object up to a certain point. Its either blocking me from zooming out my object dissappers.
