My TOC is out of order when I generate to HTML Help. It looks fine when generating to HTML5 output. Have tried re-creating a new HTML Help preset and still same issue.  

Hi, Everyone. In RH 2019, new UI, frameless output, search is performing poorly. The search results return way too many similar words (including some far-flung words), and the exact match is not prioritized (screenshot, below). I've read through this thread and some others. Please note, this issue persists whether local or on our network. Plus, I've only generated the output, not "published" it. Thanks for any help on this!  SCREENSHOT 

I am using RoboHelp 2020.3.32.  I am working on a help project that was created with a previous version of RoboHelp and that I have upgraded to RoboHelp 2020.  From that project, I want to create a Microsoft HTML Help (.chm) file.  My help content contains bullet lists, which should have custom images (from an image file called TriangularBullet.png, which is in the /contents/assets/images folder of the project) as bullets.  The CSS from my original project contained a custom ul.ListBullet style, which, with the old version of RoboHelp, was working fine both when authoring the content in RoboHelp and in the generated .chm file: ul.ListBullet {  list-style: url(../images/TriangularBullet.png);}ul.ListBullet>li {  font-size: 11pt;  margin-bottom: 6pt;  padding-left: 6pt;} In RoboHelp 2020, using the above style, the bullets are displayed correctly in both Author and Preview modes but, when I generate a .chm file from the project and ope

I've installed RoboHelp server 11 in my laptop. I've installed Tomcat and performed the configuration and mentioned in this video https://breezetraining.adobeconnect.com/robohelp-server. When I try to access http://localhost:8080/robohelp/admin/index.html, I'm seeing the error 'Unable to connect to server'. Can someone tell me what could be the problem?

HiI upgraded to the latest version of RH2020 through the Help menu and now when I try to open a project I get a message to upgrade:I click Upgrade and  it immediately comes up with an Application error:I followed the instruction but the same thing happens every time. I have tried uninstalling, downloading the latest release and re-installing but that makes no difference. This is a major issue for me as I manage a lot of projects and I now can't get into any of them. Incidentally, the projects were all upgraded from Classic 2019 to 2020.0 without any issues and were all working fine before the latest release. Many thanks in advance for any help with this. 

Hey guys, first time posting to the forum so hope it's up to standard and I'm clear enough   Basically I'm adding CSS text animations using the @14668356 rule, it works perfectly in RoboHelp and when previewing the topic in a browser, but breaks once the project is generated    So I had a look in my CSS file in the output and can see that RoboHelp has added its own bits to the code which breaks some of it   Specifically, this goes from   @14668356 colorRotate {from {color: #6666ff;}   and becomes    keyframes colorRotate {.RH-LAYOUT-CENTERPANEL-topic-box from, .RH-LAYOUT-FOOTER-container from {color: #6666ff;}   Is there anyway to prevent Robohelp form editing my CSS files so that I can avoid it breaking on output? Otherwise I'll have to manually edit it after 😞    Thanks! -Dan

I've published a project using the latest release 2020.3.32.  When I use the search, it finds pages fine, but when I then click on the pages the search string is highlighted but also lots of other random things.  It also doesn't open the page at the top it seems to jump to random places as well.  Any help or explanation appreciated. 

BACKGROUND3 tech comm staff running RH2020 update 3.RH projects reside in Git repos in the cloud.RH output is Responsive HTML5, Azure_Blue.Output is posted to an internal MS IIS webserver, for consumption by co-workers. Output is currently generated by any of the 3 tech comm staff (after pulling latest files from Git repo) and then posted via standard Windows Copy/Paste to webserver.  ISSUELooking to take advantage of RH's publish feature so we can do away with copy/pasting an entire output. Also want any of our 3 tech comm staff to be able to generate output and then publish it.  SCENARIOOn Monday, tech comm staff John generates output and publishes from his machine/instance of RH and RH project. On Tuesday, tech comm staff Mary (on her machine/instance of RH) pulls the latest version of the project from Git (it includes John's changes from Monday), edits a topic in that project, then generates new output, and publishes.      QUESTIONDuring

Hi All,I am trying to increase the indent in the Properties Tab>General>Alignment. I highlight the text and click the Increase Indent and it only moves one space. It's actually a list and it only moves the first item in the list one space. I'm stuck on this minor thing and it's really frustrating! The first image is the highlighted text and what happens if I click the Increase Indent. I currently use RoboHelp version 11.0.4 and we publish projects using Webhelp output. Our training department uses Adobe Captivate 5.0. Prior to the retirement of Flash player, I received Above Captivate projects from our training deparment as .exe files that used Adobe Flash Player. The training dept. would send me projects they created in captivate, I'd pull them in, Robo would create a baggage file, and I would publish the RoboHelp project. Then employees could access our guide and open this training material.Since Flash Player has retired, obviously a lot of these training modules no longer work. So our training department published some of their modules as HTML documents.... but I cannot get the external link to work. If I link it as a webpage obviously it tries to become tied to the URL for Robo and I get a 404 error. I also tried moving the files to different drives and linking as a file, moving it onto our production server, and importing. I cannot get this to work. I

Instead of Google Analytics script, I’m wanting to replace with the NewRelic JavaScript snippet (generated from their site). I’m having no luck in getting notification when RoboHelp sub pages are loaded, as it uses the initial index.htm page, then the URL of …/index.htm#t=subtopic.htm as it navigates the help file tree. The NewRelic JavaScript snippet executes when added to the index.htm but not when any subtopic page is loaded, as the snippet does not recognize a URL change since index.htm is the parent . Any ideas? Using Google Tag Manager, hyperlink selection events within the RoboHelp files can be tracked, but has anyone performed this using NewRelic?  The goal is to have NewRelic as one source for tracking website events.

I am new to RoboHelp (just got an evaluation of RH 2020). My experience with previous tools has been that during the review process, the author and reviewer go back and forth several iterations before the document is finished. Do you have any recommendations for how to do with the RH? After the reviewer has submitted comments, the author makes changes and after fixing each item, clicks the "Resolve" button. Normally, reviewers want to see their original comments and then look at the newly edited topic to make sure all the changes are correct. But once the author clicks the Resolve button, the comment goes away. Is there a better way to handle review iterations? ~Jim

My output from RoboHelp 2020.3.32 shows no TOC. What have I done to remove it, and how do I get it back? The RoboHelp states: "Table Of Contents Use the drop-down list to select a Table of Contents to be included in the output. This drop-down list displays the Tables of Contents available in your project. The first Table of Contents in this drop-down list is selected by default.The set of files and their references present in the selected Table of Contents appear in the generated output."

I work for a public sector software company, and I'm currently in the process of breaking out one large project (which combines all of our tax products in one help center) into 4 separate projects (one for each product). My first step was to create a new project and import all the necessary topics and images from the old, large project. I also copied over the CSS files and masterpage. The issue is all images and topic connections are now "broken links." Is there a way around this? Fixing all of the broken links could take several months and seems impossible. Does anyone have any advice or ways around this? Thank you!

Hi Folks, In RoboHelp 2019, there's a Collaborate option.When I open RH, it automatically begins to Sync. I assumed it was syncing with our SharePoint repo. Doesn't seem to be the case as some files are not getting pulled down.However, there's also an option to Get latest version, which does pull down the files.   Can someone clarify what the sync is doing? Is it simply pushing my files to SharePoint?Or to put the question another way. what's the difference between syncing and get latest version?Thanks. 

You can check your current version by going to the Help menu, the version will be shown at the bottom of the dropdown. If your version is 2020.0 you will not be able to update using Check for Updates on that menu. Instead, go to Downloads and download the latest version from there. From 2020.1 onwards, Check for Updates has installed the correct update. For a short while, the Downloads page link to Update 3 downloaded Update 2. If you updated during that period, check the Help menu again. If Update 2 is still showing, either use Check for Updates, or if you cannot for some reason, go back to the Downloads page and download again. All downloads on the Downloads page are full versions so you do not have to apply them incrementally. This thread is locked. I am trying out the new review feature at the moment, but it seems to be unfnctional to me since it outputs all conditional content. I wanted the reviewers to see a specific output, for example the same that will be output to the web, but they see all the conditional content and I cannot find a setting to exclude this. Thanks in advance,Mario

Is there a way to customize what buttons you see in author mode?I don't seem to have the minitoc button that Peter shows on his website about Adding the mini TOC 

We generate html5 projects with open sans as the font. When the pages open on Mac or iOS (any browser), open sans gets converted to Times New Roman. We want the font to be open sans as we have been consistently using it in all our resources across platforms. Is there something we need to do in RH to fix this?

Using Robohelp 2019 classic.  Output - Responsive HTML5. Browser - Internet explorer . Issue - The A-Z section in the bookmark covers the text when opened in the internet explorer. Could anyone please let me know how to fix this issue.     

We have a frameless/responsive RH 2020 online help output. We have about 5 different products that have similar outputs. The product techpubs teams are looking at any 3rd party web server solutions (can be paid) that can be used to host the respective online helps. The online help should be accessible via a web URL (whatever is set). For example: http://docs.groupname.com/productname/index.htm something on these lines.Is there any 3rd party vendor/solution that can be recommended?

After installing RH2020 I have two odd results.1- random letters are bolded in the search results2- the entire text of a snippet is returnedI've attached a screen shot showing the differences.

I am following the instructions from Peter's page (https://www.grainge.org/pages/authoring/rh_tour/rh2020/authoring/translations.htm) for translations and have run into a roadblock.  When I select the language and and the translation project location then click DONE, it does nothing. It won't advance and go to the next step. Literally does nothing.These files will be sent to our company translation group as XLIFF files.

We are on 2020.3.32. Migrated from RH2020 where we were using a custom table template.Is it just (all of) us, or are you receiving constant Application Errors while trying to work with tables, custom or canned? I just selected one of the available layout options, the nasty orange looking one, and tried to do the same things as I've been fighting with in my custom table layout, and same errors and problems. 1. Can't copy a row - no matter how I try, the row inserts into a single cell and increases the total column count. This happens while copying a row from another table, or from the same table.2. Can't shade a row in the table from the color picker, no matter whether I merge the cells or not. It looks like the color selection is accepted, but when I click back on the table, the cell color hasn't changed.Add in the constant Application Errors and requests to restart RH, and this doesn't give me warm fuzzies.
