Hi there,   I've recently started using Robohelp, I'm new to the role and have downloaded Rh 2019.   My colleague has been using Rh for years now and hasn't had these problems. I've copied the project from my colleague onto my machine (project is currently in Rh 2017) and I can use Rh 2019 Classic successfully. However when I come to generate the CHM I receive the two errors in the title of this post. Oddly if I were to upgrade the project into Rh 2019 it'll compile and generate successfully...   If I create a new project and add an image to the 'first topic', it'll generate successfully, however won't display the image within the CHM.   Any advice greatly appreciated.   Thanks Scott  

This information only applies to RH2019 Classic and older. It is not relevant to RH2019 New.   In another thread, someone mentioned they upgraded to RH2019 New to resolve a problem with TOC, Index and Search not working for them in an old version of Robohelp. My problem occurred with output generated from RH11 on Windows. I haven't tested all outputs or all versions, but I can confirm the problem occurs with Multiscreen HTML5 in RH11 and  RH2019 Classic, and just search for Responsive HTML5 for RH2019 Classic.    All features worked fine when viewing the help in Internet Explorer, but not when viewing in Chrome. I don't have Firefox or a Mac+Safari to test, but the principle would be the same for those browsers.   I found it occurred in the fo

I have a 2019 RH project (Version .9) for which I have created and ordered a TOC. In this TOC, I have a book entry that has three (3) page/topic entries underneath it all at the same level. I want to move the third of these page/topic entries one more position to the right - i.e., indented one place more to the right underneath the 2nd page entry. I right-click on the 3rd page entry, and on the context menu that opens, I click Move > Right , but nada, zip, zilch. The 3rd page entry stays put. Is there a limit for some bizarre reason on indenting/moving TOC page entries? I have attached a screen shot of what I have and what I want, but can't get!   Thanks!   What I have What I want

I have several topics that are not appearing in the index once the help file is precompiled.  They all show in the Author/Index tab.  This is with RoboHelp 2019.  The index keywords are all specified correctly in the content files.  Is there a bug or some fix for this to get all the index files in the output?   Thanks!

I am using RH 2019.0.9 to create a merged project. I have one parent project and 18 child projects. I have my folder structure successfully set up and I have ALL the child project TOCs redirected/loaded in the parent project TOC. I am getting no errors when I generate any child project or the parent project, but not matter what I do, I cannot two of these child projects to be displayed in the final merged project. I have deleted the child TOCs from the parent TOC and redirected to the parent TOC and regenerated the merged TOC, and still nothing. Any thoughts? I have attached screen grabs to illustrate the issue. TIA, TVB

Can we have a slide show in Robohelp 2017 like we do in Power Point? We publish using the Responsive Server. I am looking to have 3 radio buttons and each of this showing different brief information  that will be displayed automatically with say 15 second interval. Is that possible?

We have a responsive html5 output. When I search a term the search results appear in the left navigation. The topic title displays with a short one liner about the topic. Do you know from where this text is taken. How does it appear and can this be changed or hidden?

Last week, I upgraded two RH 10 projects to RH2019 Classic and then to RH 2019. I then created WebHelp output using RH 2019. Doing this resolved a problem we were having with the Index, Contents, and Search function not working on the Mac. However, we’ve encountered the major problem described below.   Both of our projects include a folder called PageHelp.  This folder contains context-sensitive help topics for each page in the application. There are dozens of pages and, hence, dozens of topics. The .htm files for all these topics appear to be converted successfully, as they are present in a PageHelp subfolder of the Contents folder for the converted project.  However, when I generate WebHelp output for one of my projects in RH 2019, the PageHelp folder for the compiled Help project contains just four of the expected files. When I generatate output for the other one, just one of the expected files is found in the PageHelp folder for the compiled project. See screenshots

I have a TCS 2019 test version. We want to update from TCS 5 to TCS 2019. Now, I tested to merge a project from rh11 to rh 2019 classic. And than to rh 2019.This was successful. The contents is fitting. The output could be generated as expected.What I have not expected is that I am not able to update the text changeings in my referenced Framemaker data in RH 2019.There is a "Update Framemaker files" function. It is not greyed out and when I press it, nothing happens. No update, no process bar, no info. Now, I am unsure what is going on. Could somebody lighten the situation? Is this updating function working in RH 2019.0.9? Does references for Framemaker files are still working in RH 2019? And if so, how?

I'm working on a Help File and the customer has requested me to include all notes with a lime green background. Trouble is that the shading extends to the end of the line. I have created a Note Style for the shading and a Note snippet for the image and Note:   Is there any way to make the background to wrap with the text.   Please see the image for reference.   Cheers

I am using Robohelp 2017 with 2nd update.  This help system is VERY large, and the Index has several thousand keywords and subkeywords. We have been using WebHelp output that is called by our application web server for context-sensitive help for many years now.  However the TOC was not working in Chrome, and we need to support both IE 11 and Chrome for our applications. So we just switched to Responsive HTML5, with Azure_Blue layout.  So now, our TOC and Search are working, but Index is not working. Note that Index worked fine with WebHelp – we just switched to Responsive HTML5 because of the TOC issue. Our layout is set up so you click to view in full context (with the TOC, Index, and Search panels).From other Forum threads here with related issues, we applied the updates to the JS files for Search, and that helped.  I looked for any other possible updates we needed – except for going to RH 2019! – and I think we are up-to-date.Here’s the issue with our Index in Re

I have a help system of guides under the title Playbooks, then the guides are Commercial, Personal, Claims and Employee Benefits. I'm using the Screen Layout called Azure Blue.    I want a main page with title Playbooks with each playbook listed in the icons in the body of the page. Each icon lets the user access the specific play book they want. then on the playbooks landing page, I want the icons to show the sections of the documents.   I'm not sure how to set up the output to generate the playbooks. For the playbook documents, can I use a different screen layout?   Thanks, MDawn

Breadcrumb separators + frameless outputs! By default, you get a ":" (colon) after the starting "Home" breadcrumb and then a "/" (forward slash) for subsequent separators. But, how and where do you change these? I looked into it and here's what I found; perhaps there's an easier method.  Change the Home separatorGo to Output>Labels>English (US) (this is the default/only language for my project - yours may be different) and select FRAMELESS. I recently updated to RoboHelp 2019 and I am tyring to link a FrameMaker book to a new project, but the files do not generate. I create a folder, right-click, select link, and then choose my FrameMaker book. I then right-click on the linked FrameMaker book and select Create Topics. Some actions are performed under the hood and a prompt tells me HTML files have been created......but that is not the case at all.    I am unable to open the files to view anything at all. After linking a book in RoboHelp 2017, I would select Generate and my HTML files would be created and available for viewing and editing.    How can I get this to work in RoboHelp 2019? I have been unable to find decent resouces on this issue and I am not going to link Word documents, which RoboHelp 2019 seems to prefer over FrameMaker, for some reason.    This is a very basic function that many users peform. 

Our product's Help is accessed via CSH using map IDs (no option to change to url method). We're using RH2017 and the Indigo layout. (In terms of our process, I commit the help to SVN and my dev team has a separate "build machine" with it's own version of RH and they build everything from there... I have confirmed that it has all the latest updates.)When a user accesses the Help, there is a brief flicker of the homepage TOC before it jumps to the topic page, and the topic page layout also flickers briefly before the topic content appears. (It's in the proper full page view, not the "show original context" issue that has happened to others).Once the topic is loaded, if you click on the logo in the header to get back to the homepage and access topics from there the flickering doesn't happen. So - is there a way to stop CSH calls from trying to go to the homepage first before loading the topic, and will this stop the flickering? I had to reinstall RoboHelp 2019 on a Windows 10 machine. Since then, when I generate responsive HTML output, I lose the indent settings for all lists and other styles with an indent. For example, my left indent is set to 36pt but the output does not add the indent yet in the project it displays as it should and the indent settings for the style are correct.This was not happening before I had to change operating systems and reinstall RoboHelp. I am using RoboHelp 2019 Classic edition. It is not a browser issue as the same thing occurs on Chrome, IE, and Firefox.

Hi all, I would like to delete the "index" - and "glossary" tabs in the WebHelp output in Robohelp 2019 (reimagined). Does anybody know how to remove these?   Cheers, K.

I generated responsive HTML output; however, I do not see the "Next" and Previous" icons visible in the output next to Print icon. I used all the 3 layouts. The icons are enabled in the layout. Is this a known bug?

  In the above TOC, is it possible to remove these plus and minus icons? Also, where is the code available for this setting in generated file. Is it in css or js? This is the file generated using Robohelp 2019 version.
