I'm trying to export a map file in .hh format, but when I select C/C++(.h) in the Export Map File dialog box and then click OK, nothing happens. I am able to export it to any other language, just not .hh. Does anyone know what's going on?

I am using Robohelp 15 to create Webhelp. When I hyperlink to a MP4 file I have loaded directly into Robohlep it looks fine. When I hyperlink to the same MP4 file at a host site using an URL the MP4 file looks blurry. Any suggestions?

Hi,Using RH2017 with update 2 and am using merged responsive help with the Indigo layout.I add a thumbnail in the parent project, and it shows a small image and pops up when clicked. This is correct.In a merged project, the thumbnails always display a black background, as shown below, rather than the image, although it works correctly when clicked.This seems to be a bug?Thanks

Hi, We have Robohelp 2015 in our office. And sorry if this doesn't show up in the Version Control forum, it wouldn't let me find anything like that in the options below.We've been trying to get our Robohelp set up for version control since we really need to be able to have multiple people in the project at the same time. We use Tortoise SVN for our main content control currently. In trying to add version control, we've been trying to follow the main version control instructions always referred to here, but we cannot get our SVN to show in the options for Select Version Control Provider. Our SVN has been set up for years and works just fine with our project, but it does not show here, or in the area in the RegEdit for SourceCodeControlProviders.Integrating RoboHelp projects with Subversion | Adobe Developer Connection Any ideas on how do I get our Tortoise SVN to show here so we can get it set up for version control?

In my application, I am trying to form URLs to automatically pull up context sensitive help based upon Robohelp Topic Ids.  I have read about how it should work using this reference: https://www.wvanweelden.eu/articles/part/csh-start-file  but for some reason it is not working at all.  Let me describe the issue in more detail.  I have a Robohelp project wit many topic ids.  I generate webhelp for the project and publish it.  I then create a url that I want to display the web page corresponding to the Robohelp topic ID.  For example:  "http://MyWebSite/Documentation/DEVELOPMENT/WebHelp/index_csh.htm#TopicID=Batch_Folder,withnavpane=true".  According to the documentation I have read, this should work but no matter what topic id I use, the Help Start page is always displayed.  I am at a loss to explain why this is failing when I appear to have followed all the proper steps to make it function properly.  Can someone in this community p

At this company, we use a script to convert our .xml files created in FrameMaker into .html files for use in RoboHelp to generate help.But I am loosing formatting only in my reference files. We use definitions lists (<dl>) extensively in the reference files but the heading tag (<dlhead><dthd>) is being lost and the heading is displaying just like any other definition tag (<dt>). Hello,While compiling Help in ReboHelp 8, I've encountered the following problem: after each compilation there is one or several blank topics in my Help - each time different. For example, after one compilation, the first topic contains only the title and no content and the other topics are ok; after the next compilation, the first topic is no longer blank but one of the others becomes blank.Did anyone encounter the same problem or has any ideas how to solve this problem?Thank you,Kate

Well, how do I say this in as delicate a way as possible?Methinks the concept of illocutionary (semantic) intent (as learned in first year linguistics) has eluded the writer of these Help files - to the point where someinstructions are unintelligible, or at least unclear.It definitely needs a copy editor to go through and fix the english.  Many grammatical and other linguistic errors.I'm also looking for instructional or tutorial type videos if anyone knows of any, or any in production.

Hi,Is there a way to display a customized summary of a search results file in the responsive layout?  In other words, I don't want the first few words of the file to display automatically, I want to display specific information.I use Zoom with WebHelp, but I'm trying the RH search with the Responsive layout (same files), so I already have the <ZOOMTITLE> tag in all my files.  I'd like that information to display when using RH's search.hope this makes sense! 🙂thank you!  

How can I remove the glossary from a guide? I tried to hide it in the output but have not found a way. I am unable to delete it from the Project Manager and when I went to the Project Set-up pod and right clicked on Windows, Properties is unavailable.Thank you.

When you build Responsive HTML5, the Home button (default image is logo.png) appears to be clickable. However, I can't find any documentation on how to link the Home button to a URL. Hopefully it's easy. Can someone give me instructions? I've included an image of the output (I modified the Charcoal Gray layout a little) with the Home button (logo in red box).

How can I import an old .chm file built using RoboHelp X3 into a RoboHelp 2017 Project?

I cannot get RoboHelp HTML to work at all. It crashes EVERY SINGLE TIME I try to import FM 2017 files. The book is open in FM 2017 as well as all of the files in the book. I've applied all of the patches and the files are local on my hard drive. Thoughts, ideas?

Recently, I created a RoboHelp project for a new system. When I did, I defined a user defined variable for the name of the system. Earlier today, I was informed the name of the system was being changed. I opened my RoboHelp project and changed my user defined variable to the new value & recompiled. I then discovered that while my TOC & text within the topics had been updated, the tile of the help system that displays had not changed.I know the title is set in the Title Bar field on the General tab, as shown below. If you ran into this situation, how did you handle it?Paul Hanson

Greetings!This question seems so basic I feel it must have been asked and answered somewhere before, but I have looked and looked and can't find it.  Maybe because my version of RoboHelp is so old?  I should say that I inherited the RoboHelp responsibilities at my job, and to a large degree, have learned RoboHelp as I work with it.  My training was very minimal.  There is still so much about how it works that I don't know, so I apologize if my question is confusing or incomplete.  The question I have has to do with maintenance of Books and the Topics within them.  I am trying to determine if it is possible to move an existing Book (and its existing Topics) into another existing book, creating a sub-book (wrong terminology there, possibly...), with all the same Topics still there.  So for example, I have a book called DDAR, and within that, I currently have a Research Group book, and a Data Integrity book.  I would like to move the Data Integrity

Hi,I have the latest RH 2017 rel. 2. I generated the classic "red green" test project:First Topic has two words: red greenSecond Topic one word: redThird Topic one word: green.Generate using RH2017 version of Charcoal_Grey layout.Search parameters set as follow:In output, search for green AND NOT red.Result: all 3 topics are shown as results. Should only show Topic 3. Seems boolean operators are being ignored.Tested latest versions of: Chrome, FF, IE 11 (after applying .js fixes)Similar test in RH 2015 rel 4 worked properly.Seems boolean search has stopped working. Hi I am creating an Android app using RH11 responsive output.Currently I have my app in English. To expand its reach, I want to make it available in my native language, Kannada, as well. For this, I can translate its contents. But I don't want to create and maintain two applications. So, is there an easier way? Preferably, I want the app to detect the phone language and display the Kannada version if it is set to Kannada.I can consider upgrading to higher versions of RH to make this happen.Thanks,Sreekanth

Hi All,I have recently joined a company as Technical Writer and I have RoboHelp 2017 installed in my system.Now, when I open older projects (.xpj file) of User Guides to add new topics that I am working on, I am not sure if everything is getting imported. The reason of this doubt is that when I opened a project for the first time in RH2017, there was a message asking to take a back up of the project as RH2017 will upgrade the project to 2017 version. So, I clicked on Upgrade. Then, there were these messages of things not getting imported and I had to click OK or Cancel. So, I checked the 'Do not show me this message' box and clicked OK.All projects that I open using .xpj, they do open. Issue is I do not know if something is missed out. And, this concerns me as I have to add new topics to the original version of any User Guide I am working on.Then, there is style (.css) issue. I don't know if the older style is being applied as they are defined by the company. I cannot use a new style.T

I and other users are having an issue where when we are trying to print out a document containing a digital signature, Adobe Pro DC will not print out the graphic representation of the digital signature.  Adobe Pro DC version is 2015 Relase (Classic) | Version 2015.006.30355, operating on a Windows 10 Enterprise system.  I have ensured that it is set to print document and markups as well.

I have a topic in RoboHelp 2015 where the user wants links to other topics but do not want to open the content in a new window or in a auto-sizing popup. The reason for not wanting the auto-sizing popup is that when it is opened when viewed if you click on the pop-up box the content disappears. They would like to have something like you get with the drop-down text where it is displayed directly below the linked word.Is there a way that you can display another topic within a different topic other than using the auto-sizing popup? I looked into books and was thinking of using build tags and snippets, etc., but I don't think that will work. Any suggestions??????

I have some topics that I added and also had to rename in the process. They show up in the online help but do not show up in the printed documentation. Also I added the new links to the See Also section of about 20 topics and they show only as a link of text in the PDF, ni underline or hyperlink.

Is there a way to format the drop-down text links so that instead of looking like this......it looks like this (with subsequent lines for the same link indented)?Note: I tried using the hanging indent option for the selected paragraph style, but the paragraph style does not apply to the icon; it remains flush with the text and ends up overlaying the first line of the hanging indent.Thanks!

I have made a wonderful custom version of the charcoal output. QA noticed that the "Home" link in the breadcrumbs does not display in IE, but does in all other browsers. It's the same exact help file, it should work the same in both! This is IE: This is chrome: Any ideas?
