Hi, could anyone advise how to add the "Print" icon to the Responsive HTML5 output for Tablet and Mobile. I am using RoboHelp 2017, and cannot do this within the GUI. Thanks for any Help you can offer with this.

In the process of converting Winhelp help files to Robohelp 2015 webhelp output, I am successfully following the great suggestion for creating non-scrolling regions posted at http://www.grainge.org/pages/snippets/snippets.htm#content in Item 21. !However, when I try to link to a mid-topic location in another topic, the first few lines of text at that location (to which I just linked) are hidden behind the non-scrolling region.  The only work-around is adding blank lines to compensate, in front of every potential mid-topic location.  However, that means a.) a lot of blank lines throughout the topic, and b.) a lot of effort to insert blank lines prior to all bookmarks. While coding padding-top: 50pt; to the body tag, works for preventing the hiding of the first few lines of text at the beginning of the topic, it does not work for preventing the hiding of text at the point of the mid-topic bookmark.

When trying to generate a project to online web form in Arabic.I changed the skin into TRL acquarim  when I try to move the highlighted line to view the content, I cannot transfer it. as shown in the photo:Where is the problem?

Is there any way to increase the font size inside the pods?  Is this a resolution issue? I can't read the options on my current small screen and I'm about to move to an even larger monitor.  There has to be a way to zoom in on the pod you are currently working in, right? What am I missing?

Hi all,I just received the notice from our software test team that when the HTML5 output of my project, generated with Robohelp 13.0.0.334, is opened with Safari on a Mac computer, the Index is empty.When the same file is opened with Safari on a windows computer, everything shows as it should be.Since most of our customers are using our software on MAC computers, this is a major issue for us. Is there a way to solve this? Any updates available? I hope a solution comes around, and quite soon because it is getting urgent.Kind regards,Machteld

Hello!I would be grateful for any insight into this issue I'm having: (I’m using Robohelp 2015 to generate responsive HTML5 output.) In order to correct an outdated & stretched logo on our customized responsive HTML5 screen layout, I edited the layout.css to resize the logo placeholder to fit our logo, and a new problem was created: The font color of the TOC changed from white to blue, even though the Layout Customization dialog still showed “white” as the selection for the font color, and I can't change it.It shows blue when previewed from the Layout Customization dialog in the Output set up pod, and displays as a different color blue when I generate the responsive HTML5 output. I tried multiple times to change the color by selecting white on the Layout Customization dialog, but it doesn’t work. We have begun using Responsive HTML output, running RH2017, Build 2.  I created a new custom screen layout using the Azure_Blue as my basis. I create a new RH project importing the Screen Layout and the Master Page formats.  I then import the FrameMaker book in to my RH project.  At the end of the import/conversion, for some of my FM books, I'm getting this error:  An error occurred while trying to save data to <R:RoboHelp2017\HLP1002\PO\APLUS_PO.fpj>  <5>.For one book, there are 3 of this same message issued. For another, there are 9 messages issued.  There do not appear to be any broken links.  But something is causing this message.  We did not get this message previously with our WebHelp deployment.  We updated to Build 2 hoping that the error would go away - but no luck.  I've searched trying to determine what the <5> was trying to tell me about my FPJ file, but have not found any reference. Could anyone offer some tips or advice on using Simplified Technical English (STE) with RoboHelp 2017 please? I was wondering if we could modify the dictionary in RoboHelp to not recognise words that do not exist in the STE dictionary. This would be very helpful in getting authors to conform to the STE rules. If anyone knows of any third-party applications which might help, I'd much appreciate it.

Hello everyone,I'm having an issue with a search not working. I admin a knowledge base for a call center, and one of our topics in the knowledge base is "do not call request" for customers calling in that wish to be placed on a do not call list.I know "do" and "not" are stop words, so I deleted them from the stop word list. No matter what I try to do, nothing will allow this topic to be pulled up in search. I've made "do not call" specific keywords for the topic, but they still do not pull up results. If I search for call request, the topic comes up because it's called "do not call request". But if the search contains "do" or "not" it will not work despite those words being deleted off the stop word list. I'm having a hard time figuring this out, and if anyone can give some advice I'd greatly appreciate it.

I'm using RH10 importing books from FM11.  In FM, there are 5 standard tables with varying column widths totaling to the width of the page. The FM table definitions are in inches.  In RH, I mapped the standard tables and on the Master Page have identified the 5 standard tables but set the columns to be percentages. Based on what I had read, I understood that the 2 columns in FM that were 1.5 and 4.75 inches would become 24% and 76% of the table that is set to 95%.  When I look at the HTML code generated, the table width is 600 and the columns are 168 and 432.  How do I get RH to use the dynamic mapping from the master page when it imports the FM documents?  I have downloaded the 2015 version and tried it but I'm getting the same results.  All ideas will be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!!

We have many merged projects with links between child projects and are using the techniques outlined in Peter Grange's excellent article (Merged WebHelp and HTML5 Help).My question is, do the links between children (which rely on relative project positioning of the children) still work if you publish to RoboHelp Server? I haven't had the time to set up a test server and wanted to find out if anyone had already crossed this bridge...Best regards,-SWM-PS. I'm using Robohelp 2015, version 12.0.0.306. I just installed it on a new laptop and have lost the ability to do any topic dragging and dropping, e.g., from the Project folder into the TOC. I'm pretty sure there's no setting required to enable this, but maybe I'm wrong.I've tried different workspace views, I deleted the CPD file and reopened the project, and no luck. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Has anyone successfully implemented context sensitivity with content categories? Context sensitivity worked fine for us in the past, but now that we've changed to content categories and thus the folder structure has changed, I cannot get it to work. Previously, our code was calling the index_csh.htm in the root folder. However, now that file does not exist in the root folder and instead there a [ContentCategoryName]_csh.htm file in each of the content category folders. Advice?

Hi,I currently use Webhelp (RH11) and have 3 content categories, using conditional tags.  We are considering moving to a responsive layout.  It seems that content categories are available with this layout.I'm sure I'm not the only one - has anyone come up with a work-around to this?  is it possible to create links to the other content categories (i.e., in my case, generate 4  different outputs, 1 so the user can choose the content, and then 3 of the original webhelp categories) and then "launch" that particular doc?

I have an RH 2015 Responsive HTML 5 Release Notes project that lists changes from one product update to the next.  Each topic is a cumulative list of changes within a functional area. A parenthetical notation of the update number that included the change follows the description of the change. The many topics look sort of like this: Control Number LookupChanged... (4.10.013)Menu LookupChanged... (4.10.019)MRB Tag Lookup Changed.. (4.10.022)Product Structure Lookup Changed... (4.10.018)Sales Quote Lookup Changed... (4.10.018)Shipment Lookup Changed... (4.10.024)Each topic continues to evolve over the 2-3-year product cycle.If users want to see everything that was changed in .024, they can Search for .024 and end up with a list of topics that they then have to open and scroll through. Can search results be filtered to display a list of only .024 changes? I've created an HTML5 output using RH 2017 (13.0.2.334). When I click on a book in the TOC, the book opens but another book also opens and the focus jumps to the other book. Here is a recording of what is happening:

In the Adobe RH 2017 sample Travel the Whirls project, there's a topic named, Context Senstive Help - How it's done. The Automated CSH Authoring section says the following:"In Adobe RoboHelp (2015 release), CSH can be created without any involvement from the Application Developer.In order to use this feature the application must have been developed using the C++ programming language. The process begins by clicking File > Context Sensitive Help > Open Application... From there the RoboHelp author chooses an EXE file created using C++. RoboHelp should open the application where you may establish the mappings."I have poked around the RH 2017 folders and I haven't yet found an .exe to test the CSH with. Am I missing something or was that deliberately not included in the Trial version for 2017? Thanks.

Hello All,We've been using robohelp forever and got a bit behind on upgrades.   Just upgraded to RH 2017 from Robohelp version 9. Cannot find a way to upgrade our project to responsive.   Seems we need to have an html5 project in order to migrate to responsive.Any advice on how to get our old project upgraded to responsive?Thank you!Mike

Hi there,For our project, we need to create a context help, not in the separate window but in the sidebar of the web app itself.The output generated by RoboHelp (Responsive HTML5) consists of HTML pages with <header>, <body>, some scripts, etc., while we need just the page body to render it in the sidebar.We also tried to generate the XML output, hoping to parse it somehow, but it doesn't differ from the HTML for some reason. There are NO .xml file and a bunch of .htm pages with headers and scripts.Any suggestions?

We recently switched from WebHelp to HTML5. Unfortunately, at some point during the switch, the context-sensitive setup broke. It appears that RoboHelp is no longer generating the cshdat_robohelp.htm or index_csh.htm files. Any idea why? What am I doing wrong?

The issue is that I am unable to generate Printed Documentation (i.e., RoboHelp will state, "Cannot find Microsoft Word on your system"). I can see this issue has occured in past, and I've done quite a bit of troubleshooting (i.e., looking at macro settings, virus checker, etc.) before hitting Adobe tech support.For starters, here is my setup:Windows 8.1Word 2013 32-bit (perpetual license, installed local hard drive)RoboHelp 11I've installed word before robohelp, and I've tried re-install everything using 64-bit version of word. Alright, someone talk to me about content categories. I have a "Master" project with 30+ child merged projects. I have two content categories (e.g., "Base" and "Custom") and I'm trying to keep it basic, by showing one TOC for the "Base" content category and another TOC for the "Custom" content category. When I generate the master project's WebHelp, it looks like it's creating the index.htm file and then two folders: Base and Custom. Does that mean for every child merged project, I have to create two WebHelp outputs to publish to both of those folders? I tried that, but I cannot get the merged projects to display in the TOC. Help?
