One recently converted RoboHelp 11 WebHelp project stalls/hangs in the compilation process and creates the following file with 0 KBs: __cpSwf2HTML5ZipMap. All of our other projects (20) compile successfully without this noted file. What is the problem and how do we resolve it?

Hello all, I have two macros, presently on buttons on the toolbar, that I run on the generated word output to: - Re-format to house standard (bits lost in translation from RH) - Remove extra spaces in hidden text (index entries) to reduce the size of the file (circa 13%). What I am trying to achieve is for the macro to run as soon as the output has been generated. Can this be controlled via RH? When this project comes to an end, there will be 2 people left to maintain all of the documents, and I would like to make life as easy as I can for them. Thanks Brian

My multilevel list style for a Level 2 (or 3 or 4, etc.) reverts to Level 1 when I apply it to text. I create a Level 2 multilevel list style, click Apply, then OK. It displays in the list of styles I. But when I apply it to text it has the attributes of Level 1. What happened? Did I miss a step? Thanks...

We have a standalone Java application which uses HTML format help files and they are being called using HelpSet API in Java.Now we are changing the HTML files to HTML 5 files using Java Robo Help uitility.Can you please suggest us on how to integrate the Java Robo Help output with the Java application.Regards,Bhanu Priya,

How do you display a full (project) TOC tree in the body of topic pages instead of the default sidebar (left pane)? Is there a simple way to do this within the application? I have not yet discovered a way to do so but I may not be looking in the right place. Any suggestions?

Would anyone know if it is possible to run robohelp 11 and 2015 in parallel on the same machine?

I updated to Robohelp 2015 and am rather appalled by the new ribbon UI. I remember reading about the possibility to use a "classic" UI in RH2015, does anybody know more about that? I noticed that in the workplaces section (top right corner) there is a preconfigured workplace called "Classic" which rearranges the pods (actually to the better) but it does not bring back the old menu structure.

When publishing from RoboHelp 10 to SharePoint, is it betterto publish to a Documentation library or to a unique site? Is there a how tosetup guide for configuring SharePoint for Robo publishing?

The only way out is to close RH entirely. I am using TCS 5 (RoboHelp 11 / FrameMaker 12). FrameMaker is unstructured. I am a new RH user, still getting my feet wet.I have RoboHelp linked to a FrameMaker book. The book contains internal cross-references (to other topics that are part of the RH project) and external cross-references (to topics in other FM books that are not part of the RH project). I mapped the FM cross-reference formats to RH styles to remove page and chapter numbers.After I generate the help (.CHM or HTML5), the internal cross-references work and they are formatted correctly. But the external cross-references, which are broken links, exhibit these characteristics:They do not appear in the mapped style; the chapter and page numbers still appear.They appear as text that is formatted to resemble a hyperlink (<a><span class="FM_HypertextColor">Chapter 16, Demographic Forms</span></a> in <span class="FM_Italic">Master Forms Guide</span>.(Note: Before I generate the help,

I wanted to update my previous post "How do I change the background color of the "Display results with all search words" area I can't find it as an option in the Layout Customization tool" with my findings - after having answered to Willam van Weelden that I could not find the code in the CSS. Since I'd replied, I no longer have the option to re-reply to that post.I did find the code! However, it was ever-so-slightly different than Willam's answer. I don't know if it's a version issue or that he was referring to the Azure Blue css and I'm in the Charcoal Gray css, but no matter. Hi,I'm creating PDF documents with RoboHelp 2015 and using a CSS stylesheet, BUT I need to change the style of the table of contents.  I can't for the life of me figure out how!  I can't use a Word template - I have to use a CSS stylesheet.  But nothing maps to it!There's got to be someplace in RoboHelp's many "secret" files where the printed TOC style can be changed - does anyone know where or how?  I need to change the TOC title to match my H1s and I have to change the font and font size of the items listed in the TOC.I've tried using a special Master Page and that didn't work, either.Why can't Adobe make it easy for us to change styles with CSS instead of Word templates?Thanks to anyone who can help!Added bonus:  Is there a way to lower the footer?  No matter what I do - change the margin in the CSS or in the footer settings, or add extra space - it's still way too high on the page when it prints.Message was edited by: Theresa Munanga

Hi,My Quick Access Toolbar is behaving erratically when I try to customize it by adding more icons.  It won't always save the icons I've added after customizing, and sometimes half of the toolbar will disappears.  Has anyone else had trouble when trying to customize the quick access toolbar or have any idea why it is not saving my changes?  After making changes, I always do a "Save All" but that doesn't always work.  The most frustrating thing right now is that half of the toolbar has disappeared.  It's behaving as if it cannot all fit on the ribbon, which isn't the case.  Sometimes I get the "dots" to click on to show the rest of the toolbar, other times they just disappear and the rest of my newly added icons do, too.  Then I have to start all over again.  Thanks,Lori

My work has upgraded our version of RoboHelp from 10 to 2015. Previously, we were using a workaround script to manage our single sourcing - however, because of layoffs, I don't actually know how this script works. Basically, it allows the "single-sourced" topic to appear in the webhelp of the project that's referencing the original, but not in the print documentation. So, we updated to RoboHelp 2015, so we could single source properly.But, here's the issue. I started converting my first project, and pulled in all of the topics that I needed to reference. That all worked fine, except my broken links folder had about 20 broken links. I found that this was because a lot of the topics I was pulling in had links to other topics in the original projects. So, it seems those topics also needed to be pulled in. When all was said and done, I'd almost doubled the number of topics in that project. (Half now being shared from the resource manager.) Some topics even linked to topics that linked to o

I am working on 3 FrameMaker books merged in 1 WebHelp. I have cross-referenced topics between books but the hyperlinks in the WebHelp don't have a destination. The cross-references work fine in FrameMaker and PDF but do not work in RoboHelp. Does anybody have a solution to this problem? I've looked through the discussions but did not find any answers. Also, my FM books are linked in RoboHelp.

This is my "main" forum, where I get most of help, therefore I was thinking that I might get a useful suggestion here.I had an original profile for the forums, however that got corrupted (!?!), and I got as "suggestion" from the Adobe support to make myself another one with another e-mail address, because if I would have used my original e-mail address, it would point me to the "corrupted" profile.The issue is that I do not check so much this address as I check my work e-mail address, and I would like to put as my notification e-mail address my work one, and I did not find any possibility to do so.Does anybody have any idea as how I should proceed, or whom I should contact?Thank you very much

This is my first day working with RoboHelp HTML.  I've read some of the documentation, but I cannot find how to get an edited script file's changes to save after generation.  When we launch the generated Help, a popup box appears with this message: "The webpage you are viewing is trying to close the window. Do you want to close the window?".   I can fix the problem of by adding this line of JavaScript code: "window.open('', '_self', '');"  after line 174 in the loadcsh.js script.  The problem is that this file gets overwritten every time the project is generated.

How do I set up my Responsive HTML5 output file to open to the Index and Search tabs rather than always opening to the default Table of Contents tab (displayed on the left hand side of the UI in a browser)?

  We are trying open our HTML5 generated files to either the search, index or table of contents tab. Each selection is controlled by a menu from within our Java application. I have been unable to discover a URL attribute that can control this. In the non-HTML5, WebHelp, there was an addition to the URL that would allow for one of the tabs to be selected (ww.blank_pretend.com/...../index.htm#<cmd=fdx>>newwnd=false). The com portion allowed the functionality to open to search tab.   Is there anything in RoboHelp 15 or the generated HTML5 that will allow for the same functionality?   

I work for the State of North Carolina and my director asked of me "do we have to run Robo Help with Tom Cat server or can it run with a Microsoft server?  I have just started in the world of Robo Help 10.  I know we use webhelp pro to publish and i know that we use Robo Help server 9 on a Tom Cat server.  I have no clue.  I have read a few of the blogs but it does not make any sense.  I can go ask or IT guy but i am looking for a second opinion.  As i under stand it the Tom Cat server uses Lynx or Unix and they want to shift it to a Microsoft server if they can.  So can Robo Help run on a Microsoft server?

I am upgrading help projects from RH9 to RH2015, and have come across some topics that include old script code in them. It's causing errors in IE. In its simplest form the code looks like this:Is there an easy to clean this up? Something similar to Tools > Update DHTML, perhaps? If I have to, I'll write a script to clean this up, but most instances are not laid out quite this simply, so i was kind of hoping for a canned solution. Suggestions welcome. Thanks.G
