I opened a PDF created by another company and simply wanted to delete a few fields and add a company logo.  The app is so slow I can barely use it...  Just to move the logo I've pasted using the arrow keys is an excruciatingly slow process.  Moving left or right or up or down "5 clicks" can take 30 seconds.  Seriously adsurd...  I.e.  Get up and walk away from the machine while it is trying to move an image within the document or even simply scroll. Yes, my machine can handle this app.  Brand new iMac w/ 256gb of ram.  Acrobat acts like I'm using an Intel Pentium from the mid-90s.  I run Illustrator all day / every day without an issue.  Acrobat is unusable. Surely there's a solution???????

A complete wipe, and reinstall OF AN OLD VERSION and the forms work, update to the latest version and it breaks.  We need a way of mass rolling it back from our machines. Over 100 PCs have to use Adobe Pro in my organization. We do not have the manpower to manually roll them all back within a reasonable time period.  

I have and AEM Designer built form. I can add row instances.  What I need is in each row I want to include a check box and another button else where of the form. And when I click this button It will refer to checked boxes in rows and perform tasks such as delete that instance or include a new instance below etc. Do you have any idea how we can do that?

I've created a form with roughly 50 check boxes and 25 pull-downs. I duplicated the first three and pasted them in position.When I tested the form, when I clicked on one check box, all the check boxes became checked.How do I unlink them so that clicking on one box will only check that box.Thanks

When I try to delete certain pages from my PDF file (which is larger than 3,000 pages), I get an error message that states "expected an array object." I am unable to delete these pages. How can I fix this problem?

In classic Acrobat you could add an audio either by selecting a file or creating an audio by recording it direct into Acrobat from the comments section. In the new Acrobat the “record” an audio option seems to be missing. Is that feature still available? If so does anyone know where the Acrobat developers have chosen to hide it from the logical spot it was in the classic version (used to be next to “select audio”.

I just tested to see what the ChatGPT can do when I uploaded a password protected pdf document. I told it to make and printable format. It then asked me if it wanted to add trim marks and bleed, and made a pdf i can download.  It had removed all security preferences! I looked up what AI said about this and it said it was not able to remove password restrictions. However, this ONLY applies to the password OPENING THE DOCUMENT. It can remove everything if it can open the document. So, why can't you make it so it can't remove ANY restrictions! without this it does no good to have print and edit restrictions!!

Just switched to new UI, and this item keeps appearing at the top of the recents list on launch.I have tried completing the tutorial. I have deleted the item from the recents list. I have deleted ALL the recents list. I have turned off the recents list altogether (setting recent items to zero).No matter what I do, every time I launch Acrobat, this item reappears at the very top of my recents list with a time stamp of "just now". Like it's being automatically opened and closed every time I launch without my seeing it. When I switch back to classic UI, I can delete the item and it never returns. Until I switch back to new UI, then it starts all over again.Anyone know how to get rid of this (yet again) really annoying and nagging "feature" in new UI? Screenshot below.Thanks!

But why can't it simply be an option to autofill every item instead of forcing you to change the name. I'm trying to fill out cut sheets and they will all have the same field names; Part number, fixture type, etc. and this has consumed a good deal of my time unnecisarily. Whether it's regulated by a body of some sort or not there should 100% be an option to not do it. 

Hello everyone, Over the past month, I've been experiencing frequent crashes on my PC when using Acrobat Reader Pro alongside Microsoft Edge. Typically, this happens when I've been reading for an extended period and then switch to the browser, causing Edge to crash and my entire PC to display a black screen.I've tried various solutions to resolve this issue, including running "sfc scannow" and "CHKDSK" commands in Windows, as well as uninstalling Acrobat Reader. Unfortunately, none of these attempts have been successful. Occasionally, when I close Acrobat after Edge crashes and my PC becomes unresponsive, I encounter an error message that says "Exception unknown software exception (0xe0000008)."I'm currently using Windows 11 and would appreciate any advice or further steps I can take to fix this persistent problem. Thank you.

Someone at our organization created a PDF with fillable form to send out. Some of them come back normal, but some come back showing the text entered in the fields duplicated or ghosted. I checked the original and there are no duplicated fields.On my own computer, they look normal in Acrobat Reader, but when I print them all of the fields text is doubled, impossible to read.The user can manually delete the text if they highlight and click delete.

I am converting Word docs into pdfs. In the tagging process as the conversion happens, all the white spaces (i.e. returns etc) are tagged. When this then runs through the WCAG 2.2 accessibilty checker (PAC) it flags it as a problem, which it is. People using screen readers don´t want to be hearing "blank" all the time when coming across these tags.Going back to the Word doc to reformat it with spacing in the paragraph settings would not really work because of the type of document we have.The resulting pdf has sometimes hundreds of these empty tags. If you try to delete the empty tag, it´s still a problem because the accessibility checker then says that item is missing a tag. So, it seems I need a way to mark these items as artifacts but I am not going to go through every single one of these in turn to mark them. I need a way to batch mark these items as artifacts. How can I do this? Or is there any alternative (needing the fix in the pdf rather than Word).Phew! TIA 

Is there a way to show tabs for all open PDFs? If I have more than one PDF open in Acrobat, there's only one tab showing, the one for the PDF currently being viewed. What's the point of having tabs if they don't all show—like in InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.  There is one tab for the currently visible PDF. I have to go to the Window menu to select a different PDF that is also open. Seems like I should be able to just click on that other PDF's tab, so I assume there's a way to show all tabs. Can anyone direct me to how to do that?  Thanks 

I am trying to create a trave & traing PDF form.  I’m running into issues with the following…If the check box is checked the employee gets reimbursed.  If it s not checked the company paid for the expense. They will type the amount in the amount fields.   I would like a summary that totals each section (see below) but I’m finding some issues and I’m not sure how to ask the question and get any response that makes sense.  I also do not right JavaScript.If I add the a sum using the calulate tab in text field properties using the amount total  of each section, it cannot be overwritten or corrected.I’ve tried an “if” formula found on the web to add add the amount if checked.  It didn’t function as I had hoped.Ideally I would like it to add the amount recorded in the transportation field if checked – under the Employee Reimbursement and if unchecked it goes into the Event Expenses.Employee Check Request Total totals everything under Employee Reimb

Suggestion: Give text fields optional labels. 1.) Only small, medium, or large font size.2.) Placement of left, right, above or below text field.3.) Character limit of 25. Keep it simle if necessary, but simpler label options for text fields are wanted.

I purchased Abode for my personal use.  But I cannot make changes because I receive messages stating that I'm not the Administer.  How can I set myself up as my Administer? 

I have to print a 76 page document. Very simple. Brother laser printer HL-L5200 with up to date Firmware. Intel iMac with up to date iOS - Sequoia 15.6.1 It’s taking me HOURS because I keep getting the error name pages. I now have 16 error name pages. I’ve unplugged, restarted everything. Using Adobe Reader and Acrobat.  I’ve gotten one error name page before here and there but restarting the printer seemed to fix it. But not now.  The document is nothing but text on  letter and legal.  I have a dual tray printer and using Adobe Acrobat the printer will select the paper size  needed when printing.   I’ve tried printing one page at a time. When I do that I only get the Error Name pages. All of the Error name pages say the same thing.  Does anyone have a solution?  Thanks in advance.   i'm now up to 20 error pages. Wasting so much paper.

Hi! I'm a windows user using the latest version of Adobe Acrobat and I've been finding that the auto tagging is extremely slow. I'm currently trying to autotag a 23 page document with the progress bar stuck at 20% for the past 20 minutes. Previously when I've autotagged it'd be maximum 40 seconds of waiting. Any advice on what to do?

When opening Adobe attachments from Outlook I frequently get the error pop up "The instruction at 0x00007ffce23bed7d referenced memory at 0x0000000000000018. The memory could not be read" It does not stop me from opening the attachment I hit ok and the pdf opens, its just annoying. I have uninstalled run the Adobe cleaner reinstalled. I have turned off protected mode. I have cleared my cache, dumped my temp folder. Any other ideas? Thanks
