I often combine pdfs that are different orientations and page sizes into one file by opening one pdf and using the "Organize Pages" to insert the other files.  Typically instead of a regular save, I use the print to pdf option in Adobe Pro and choose either portrait or land scape and fit so that when I save, the pages are all the same size and orientation, making the file easier to read in the future. However, lately that feature has not been working.  Sometimes it simply saves the combined files in their original sizes and orientations.  Or more troubling, lets say I have file A open and add file B, then try to print to pdf using file B's name - in that case instead of saving, file B disappears from the folder.  How weird is that?  It goes thru the whole process as tho it is saving, but instead, the result is that the file deletes the file. Why is this happening and how do I regain the previous results? I am using "Acrobat Pro Continuous Release

I want to set up a form for my PDF that has only 3 fillable fields.  I also want to be able to use the Fill and Sign tools to enter data.  However, when I have the form fields, I get the error message that says "The author of this document has identified fields that you can fill."  The only option from the Fill and Sign tools available is the signature option. How is it possible to use the Fill and Sign tools, such as Add Text or place an X on a checkbox, with a document that has defined fields created with the Prepare Form tool? Thanks

Hello together, Maybe someone can help me with this. I´ve created a form and wanted to set up an e-mail button in the form, which opens the e-mail address and the form with attachment as an e-mail as soon as you click on it. Is that possible? It is also possible to edit buttons or text fields so that they have to be filled in before they can be sent? Thanks you in advance!

I use the highlighter within a play or movie script to make comments to myself and use different highlights colors to color code the comments (ex. purple = scene #, blue = thematic line of dialogue, etc.). I know there's a way to filter the comments by highlight color so I can just see comments of a certain color (ex. purple = scene numbers), but I can't remember how. Can someone help me with this?

For approximately the past two months, Acrobat DC reports "not responding" for about 20 to 30 seconds when I open it. This happens again when I open any PDF document (even one with just a single page). It happens again when I select any of the tools (Edit, Combine, Organize, etc). I often receive PDF files that I want to rename once I have looked at the content more closely.How do I just rename an open file in Acrobat (rather than Save As, or closing the file and going into the OS file manager to do it?)

Yesterday, I updated 2 iMacs to Sequoia v15.3.2. Today, I downloaded a bank statement PDF and the text was not displaying. Past PDFs from this same bank have the same issue. PDFs from other sources, past and present, seem to be fine. Trying to narrow down the problem, I compared the 2 iMacs. On iMac #1, the bank's PDFs are unreadable. On iMac #2, the PDFs are readable. I followed multiple suggestions to fix the problem, to no avail. Reset Fonts in Font Book (several times, with a restart after each reset)Validated all fontsEliminated any personal fontsUninstalled and reinstalled Adobe Acrobat ProCleaned up cacheRan a maintenance programRan various Acrobat utilities to embed the fonts. The only success was to convert the fonts to outline.The Document Properties show Arial (embedded Subset) and a strange series of fonts named "T3Font_58, T3Font_59", etc. I was able to edit the PDF and change all of the fonts to Arial. But what a pain in the neck!

Hi all!I have a problem with differences when checking separations in Output Preview and Preflight between Adobe Acrobat Pro 2025 (enterprise license) and Adobe Acrobat Pro 2020 Classic (probably the last standalone version).  When I checked the PDF file for the presence of additional colors other than Pantone in the 2025 version, they did not appear, but in the 2020 Classic version, the software detected elements containing CMY colors. It also works the other way around - in another PDF file, the 2025 version software detects an element in the form of a line (microscopic - with the color defined for the shape, not for the line - so the line itself does not have a color), but the 2020 version software does not detect it. I am attaching screenshots of the two cases (one with CMY 88% elements and the other with just the line in another file). Please help - it's important that these two checks are the same.

I am writing on behalf of a doctors office. We use adobe Acrobat Pro DC.  We have many forms which our clientel need to sign at different dates however, the documents become locked after signing them once. Is there a way to disable this feature in settings? If not, is there a previous version of Adobe Acrobat Pro that we could revert to that does not cause the document to have editing limitations? We are not worried about having a fancy digital signature authentication. We just want to lay down a digital signature. We considered chopping up the forms by removing pages and signing them separately, however we decided that this would significantly slow down our workflow. We have spent a very good chunk of money setting up a custom signing terminal and it will have been a useless purchase if we cannot edit documents after signing them. Help is greatly appreciated. Below I have linked a couple of our most commonly used forms, in case it is relevant to solving our problem:

When trying to send an attached PDF file I get a message that states "We don't support PDF version below 1.4. Please convert your file to version 1.4 or above and try again." Can I get someone to help me in doing this? I am using a Mac computer. Thanks.

Ik kan een handtekeningvak toevoegen (zie screenshot). Als ik het formulier download in PDF kan ik er geen handtekening inzetten. Ik kan alleen tekst typen. Dit maakt niet uit of ik kies voor "Signature" of "Signature Block".Graag hoor ik of iemand een oplossing hiervoor heeft. A raíz de la actualización que tuve el.13 Marzo de 2025 intento firmar un PDF y me aparece firmado digitalmente que me lo indica la plataforma en el lateral derecho, pero no me aparece el sello visible cómo hago para que me aparezca el sello visible. Llamé a la casa de moneda y timbre en vez de que es un fallo de Acrobat no sé si os ha pasado o es un fallo de configuración. Gracias 

 I want to use the text recognition feature using this tab, but I get the following error: "Acrobat cannot replace the current page with the recognized page due to the following error: Invalid parameter. This is due to either low memory or insufficient disk space." What should I do to fix this error? I would appreciate your help.

Hi, I am having some issues with several users at my work place not able to convert Excell files that are saved as xlsx using Acrobat PDF Maker tool within Adobe Acrobat STD. This suddenly started happening. What happens is when the PDF Maker tool is used if the Excell files has multiple tabs or no tabs the Excell will not convert to PDF and the original excel file if it had tabs they will become hidden for some reason. It works fine when the file is converted to the old excel format xls then the PDF Maker creates the PDF and dose not hide the tabs. Are you able to please assist? Thanks, Zoran 

Is there a way to stop Acrobat from hijacking pdf handler?  In general I prefer to use the browser pdf handler. However, in some cases I need the full featureset of Acrobat.  The problem is that every single time I "open with" Acrobat, it is hijacking the association. "Tell me if Admobe Acrobat is not my default.." is unchecked and ofcourse not clicking the "Select as default PDF handler" button. 

Good day Pros,               I am looking to toggle three different boxes. The toggle box is "Unhide" and it unhides two other boxes. "Convening Date" and "Graduating Date". I have a third box "CT NOTE" that hides these two boxes. I want the Unhide box to hide both the Convening Date and Graduating Date boxes and Show the CT NOTE box. When clicked it would do the reverse. It will unhide both text boxes but hide the CT NOTE box. Is this possible?

Ich habe Acrobat Pro 2017. Mit dem Start erscheint seit ein paar Wochen „Leider ist ein Fehler aufgetreten“ mit dem Hinweis, mich an meinen Administrator zu wenden. Daneben kommt die Mitteilung: „Ihre Testversion ist abgelaufen. Kaufen“ Nun war Acrobat Pro 2017 zwar kein Abo aber auch keine Testversion. Leider kann ich PDFs nicht mehr erstellen und bearbeiten. („Diese Funktion ist in ihrer aktuellen Lizenz nicht enthalten“)Ich habe einiges ohne Erfolg versucht (Reparatur, localAppData für Acrobat gelöscht, Konto mit Prod.-Code geprüft). I am currently working with agencies and need to submit documents signed using Adobe Sign electronic signatures. Once signed, the files become encrypted and cannot be modified. After submission, the agency reviews the documents and either approves or rejects them, often stamping and signing the documents. However, this process is currently hindered by the signature panel and encrypted files.Could you please provide guidance on how to use Adobe Sign for signing these official documents, ensuring that the agency can stamp and sign them after review?

Bookmarks are an amazing feature of PDF files, but there are two things that drive me crazy with them (and I use them ALOT) so if anyone has any useful workarounds that they can share, I would appreciate it. I'm a Specification Writer in the Architectural field, so I edit documents in MS Word, print to PDF and combine in Acrobat. It is not uncommon that the volumes I create are 120 or more files combineed into 1. I also love that Acrobat creates a bookmark for the first page of each file that is combined HOWEVER (and this is what drives me crazy) it automatically sets the zoom level of  the bookmark to "Page Width". Have set the default level of bookmarks to Fit Page, but amazingly this seems to only apply to bookmarks that the user creates manually! Really Adobe? Give me a break!! Of all of the other preferences you can set (of course finding a perference is another story and 90% of which I don't have a use for) surely something like this could be added as there seem to be o

Hello! I have the following example: First Last, CFP® with the subscript appearing correctly in the dropdown menu. While it appears correctly in the dropdown menu, when selected, it does not remain a subscript but becomes the font size of the name.  Is there anything I can do to correct that? Thank you so much for your help!
