Questions

When editing Pictures and texts, it often happens, that I find parts of my texts messed up. Letters missing and whitespace added randomly. This is most annoying esp. when going unnoticed, as I sell ebooks. When I reedit to correct the mixing up, I can never be certain, it does not mix up somewhere else.Good advice would be appreciated. Thank you

I would love some help on this one. I have used coding (Javascript) similar to this for some time now in Acrobat, but am self-taught and can't seem to understand how to fix this error. For reference, I use MS Visual Studio to write the coding, and that program is reporting no errors. I am getting a syntax error in part of my code when trying to enter it into Adobe as  a Document Javascript; I have omitted the code that comes before this as it does not seem to be an issue and is a lot of code. The error I am getting is: "SyntaxError: missing } after property list". But I can see the closed bracket at the end of my code, have attempted to re-type that portion of the code, and have tried to change some of the formatting around it as well. Nothing seems to get rid of the error and I cannot complete my document without this code. In the online help it states you can. "Georegister a PDF map or scan of geospatial data."" Yet it gives no way to actually do this.  Anyone have any idea?  Thanks.

I have a 64-bit laptop. I had to reinstall Windows, so I had to reinstall my Acrobat X product. I did that last in 2018 or 2020. This time, when I tried to reinstall my Acrobat X product, I could find only 32-bit downloads for Acrobat X. Is there any way I can get my trusty old friend, Acrobat X to work on my 64-bit machine?

So, I have a 300 pages PDF file. I want to create a PDF of this in which 6 pages are in one page PDF. So it works when you "Print" the PDF, you can choose "Multiple" and layout it in a what the 6 pages are printed into one paper. So I want to reflect the same thing but not "Print" it but rather create that actual PDF with 6 pages in one document, if that makes sense. 

Hello everyone 🙂   I keep having the same issues with Adobe. I like to create my own templates to make my job more efficient, but for some reason when I do, as soon as I save it, the font goes all wonky, and somtimes deletes random letters all together. Example shown below.  Please help 🙂 

Hi allI've spent 3 days going through various posts and communities and am still stuck.  It's not a difficult problem, but for some reason I cannot figure it out (I blame Daylight Savings Time LOL). I'm using Adobe Acrobat DC and have two dates - Referral Date (ref_date) and Decision to Treat Date (dec_to_treat_date).  All I want is a message (date_message) to show on the form if the Decision to Treat is greater than Referral Date.  Here's my code at the moment, which is in my ref_date field as an ON BLUR action.  For some reason, if I put the two dates in as the same month, it works, but if I put the dates in as different months, nothing happens.  I've tried the Debugger without luck and as I'm brand new to JS, have no idea what other things I should look for.Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  Chris var d1 = this.getField("dec_to_treat_date").value; var d2 = this.getField("ref_date").value; var dm = getField("date_message"

When ever i am trying to compare two pdf files it shows error. Tried with many pdf files, its not working at all. Some times its getting hanged too.     

Why is my exported PDF taking forever to print?? each page has to flatten separately?!?

Bonjour,J'ai souscris à la formule Acrobat Pro et ai installé l'ensemble des modules.Nous utilisons cet abonnement sur plusieurs ordinateurs et savons qu'il n'est possible de l'activer que sur deux postes simultanément. Or je n'arrive plus à simplement ouvrir et lire un fichier PDF sans avoir à me connecter (et donc à déconnecter un autre poste). Comment faire pour simplement lire un fichier PDF sans avoir à se connecter à son compte et sans utiliser un autre logiciel ? Cette fonction de base qui ne nécessite pas d'abonnement disparait-elle alors ?! Merci par avance pour votre retour. O.L.

I want to sign a PDF document with my digital certificate (.p12). When I click "Sign", Windows (11 Pro) prompts me to connect a smart card. I have no idea what that is and do not own one. Signing worked fine before I enabled Windows Hello on my device. Disabling it and restarting the app does not change the behavior. The certificate works in other apps and all information is up to date. I would like to simply sign the document with my certificate just like before.

I would like to sort pages of a scanned pdf file by 2 text fields that are at the bottom of each page ("Page x of x" and "Print Date: xx/xx/xxxx").

I need an acrobat script to delete blank pages. By blank, I mean TRULY blank, with nothing on them.   I found this script: but it just looks for pages without text content. So it also ended up deleting pages that had vector graphics on them.   for(var i=this.numPages-1;i>=0;i--) { if(this.getPageNumWords(i)==0) this.deletePages(i); }   Can anyone help by making this script just apply to truly blank pages? Alternatiely, it would work if it only looked at 11"x17" pages and deleted the blank ones.

I've tagged a PDF. I've added alternernate text to figures. However, the figures alt text is failing to display when I hover over the figure. How do I fix this? I've added alt text to the "Set Alternate Text" in the figures.

Hi everyone, I’m running into an accessibility issue with PDFs that I hope someone can shed light on. I’m using JAWS 2025 and testing tagged PDFs in both Adobe Acrobat Reader and the Microsoft Edge browser. The problem: footnote links that point to content on the same page do not work properly with JAWS. These links are formatted correctly as hyperlinks, and visually, they appear and behave like standard links. However, when I activate them in either application, JAWS does not follow the link—there’s no movement, no announcement, and no indication that the link activated at all. Some notes:• When the footnote link points to a different page, it works fine—JAWS navigates and announces the destination properly.• I’ve tried refreshing the virtual buffer (Insert + Esc), but it makes no difference.• The PDF is properly tagged and includes standard link annotations.• This happens in both Adobe Reader and Edge (Chromium). Has anyone else seen this issue? Hi , i usually open multiple pdf files in acrobat , when it happens to restart the laptop , i loose all those file and adobe doen't reopen them on relaunch .i have the option ticked in Preferences/General  Any ideas ?   Thanks  Regards 

I am retired and have been using Acrobte 11 Pro  for years but I had to replace the motherboard of my computer now I can deactivate  product to be abl to us it. This serves my needs and am notm willing to get a ne version when it used only for PDF function on a computer at home. Any help ot there
