After using this program for 3 years, I'm at my wits end.  Hopefully someone can help because Adobe IT can't even figure this out.  When I create a page size in another program (i.e. 2.625"x8.625") and view it in Acrobat DC Pro, it automatically rounds the page size to 2 decimal points (i.e. 2.63"x8.63").  If I use the crop tool 'custom' in Acrobat, it rounds the 3rd decimal to 2 decimals.  If I use the measuring tool, click on scaling and ratio, enter 3 decimals spaces, it still rounds the pdf to 2 decimals.  I need 3 decimal points.  I tried Photoshop Express App and the same thing happens; always rounding to 2 decimals.  I need to create pdfs with .125 bleeds added to the measurements. If I use the print production mode, the bleed box reduces the document, instead of adding .125" to the document.  IT tried to help by using prepress settings to no avail, as it isn't an option.  There should be a simp

Using book-scanning services, I have books scanned into pdf files as 300dpi images. Using Acrobat DC Pro, I run the Recognize Text tool within the Enhance Scans category (which actually decreases the file size). I then, within the Redact category, try to Remove Hidden Information or Sanitize Document, and the file size explodes upward. As a representative example, this is what happens: Step 0: Book as received from scanning service: 19MBStep 1: Book after running text recognition: 13MBStep 2: Book after running Remove Hidden Information: 53MBor: Step 2: Book after running Sanitize Document: 22MBIncredibly, not only does the file size increase dramatically when removing information/sanitizing document, but, to put salt on the wounds, the image quality also decreases noticeably! This always happens, with no exception.1) Why does this happen? Intuitively, I would think removing hidden information would actually reduce file size, especially if the image quality deteriorates.2) Is there any

Hello,Not sure exactly when this started, but I have noticed recently that when I add an image into a PDF file, I am not able to resize OR move the file with my mouse. Moving the file with the arrow key is fine. But the resize issue still a problem. Please let me know if you have this issue and if you have a solution to what seems to be a bug.

Hi!Our Create Cloud users do not have local admin rights on their computer.Photoshop, InDesign, ... is working fine.But Adobe Acrobat wants on each opening PDF file a local admin login.How can i disable that?Thanks,Bernhard

Every time I save a word doc as a pdf, the work expands. I have when saving a word doc to a pdf the work expands. For example - I have a two page document that must remain two pages but saving it to a pdf, it turns into three pages.

Installed the most recent version of Acrobat Pro DC (2015) from Adobe's website, and every time I try to open it I get the error message "An error has been detected with a required application library or file and the product cannot continue. Please reinstall the application." When I close out of the error window, Acrobat crashes, and I get another box that says "Quitting" at the top of the window, containing the message "Raise without Handler!" Neither reinstalling nor repairing Acrobat has any effect. I've used the Acrobat Cleaner tool to wipe out any old files from the Acrobat Reader DC I used to use, then installed Acrobat Pro DC, but hasn't helped. I can't find anything useful online regarding this first error message; all the forums complaining about it are in regards to Acrobat 7 or Adobe CS2. The forums regarding "Raise without Handler!" are equally outdated, and imply that this message only shows up on Mac systems. However, I am running Windows 10. Can anyone help?

Hallo liebe Community! Ich brauche eure Hilfe für ein PDF-Formular! Und zwar geht es dabei um zwei Formularfelder, bei denen die Eingabe einer Mengenanzahl in das linke Feld (s. Beispiel im Anschluss) die Menge des rechten Feldes in Dreier-Schritten erhöht. Also ab einem Wert von 10 im linken Feld steht rechts eine 3. Ab 20 eine 6 usw. Der Zähler rechts daraf sich aber nur um 3 erhöhen, sobald der nächste Zehner voll ist. Bei allen Zahlen dazwischen (also alles von 11-19, 21-29, 31-39 usw.) bleibt rechts gleich. Ist das ein Fall für Javascript? Hatte vielleicht jemand so etwas schonmal als Aufgabe und vielleicht die Lösung parat, wie man das im PDF-Formular umsetzen kann? Had to move a virtual machine that we use to create PDF files to new hardware.    Cannot activate because the activation servers have been shutdown.   Has anyone found a work around from Adobe [abuse removed] trying to force us into a subscription model?

Hi, I've got a complex user guide that has multiple sections that repeat a lot of text and images. I'd like to reduce the repetition by using cross reference links (I'm using Madcap Flare which is similar to Framemaker) to jump to a location in the book. That works for jumping to a figure or table and then returning to the original page, but if I want the user to read multiple pages in a section elsewhere in the document and then easily return to the original page that I jumped from, I can't figure out how to make Acrobat do that without a lot of "previous view" button clicks, which would be impractical. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Is anyone else finding that Acrobat Pro breaks MacOS drag-and-drop functionality for the Desktop and Finder, under certain circumstances? When I drag an Acrobat Pro tab out of a multi-tab instance to create a second Acrobat Pro window (with its associated document), whatever Acrobat Pro does under the covers causes drag-and-drop elsewhere in MacOS (on the Desktop and in Finder for sure) to stop working entirely. The fix is (as with so many of Acrobat Pro's quirks) shutting down and restarting Acrobat Pro. Something more than an annoyance given what we pay for Acrobat Pro.

I'm trying to control the visibility of certain checkboxes and layers on my PDF form according to what is selected in a drop down menu. I've found 2 scripts; one to show/hide the layers and one to show/hide the checkboxes. I'm a novice when it comes to java scripting. Regardless of what printer I use, when creating a PDF, the background that prints has a pale yellow background. ????? I do not know why this is happening... Any suggestions???

Hi, I am combining the  Chapters PDF in to a combined One using Acrobat Professional Xi, 2024.  After combined, if i check the fonts in document properties the same name being embedded as multimple times.  Please advise why the same name of the fonts shows in two times.  We have been experiencing issues with users reporting that when attempting to open a second PDF file their app hangs for at 20-30 seconds with no response and then suddenly opens the files.  The only fix we have found to work is to use acrocleaner and then reinstall from Creative Cloud.  Not all of our users have access to creative cloud as many of them just use Acrobat Reader.  Steps we have taken include Full Removal with Acrocleaner and Revo and reinstallationRegistry edits to disabled Enhanced Security at StartupRunning program in compatibility modeSwitching to old viewAll devices experiencing issues are currently on 2024.5.20320 updateRepaired installationDisabled page cacheCleared local app data and let Adobe recreate folder We believe this is related to the current update as this was reported to be happening about a week ago, please advise.

The below error keeps appearing for my users with a full CC license. I have updated Acrobat but it made no difference. Contact your administrator Access to Adobe Document Cloud files and Acrobat online services, including sharing and e-signing, requires an update to the latest version. bonjour, j'ai crée un formulaire avec adobe pro => preparer un formulaire. J'ai utilisé les différents outils, jai eu recours a des boutons liens, des bouton de reinitialisation de  partie de formulaire, des fonctions java de colorisation ou de calcul interactif. Tout cela fonction sur mon pc windows, mais lorsque je met le pdf créé sur tablette avec l'appli adobe acrobat, certaines fonctions comme : le calcul interactif, les bouton resets et la colorisation du texte suivant les reponses ne fonctionnent pas. Comment puis je faire svp ?

In the old Acrobat DC you would click the stamp or comment or whatever tool (circle, line whatever you are adding) and as soon as you placed the stamp or the whatever the hover of the tool you were placing would disappear, now it stays attached to your cursor and I don't know how to make it go away. I can't find anything in preferences and if I click off the page it just drops another of whatever is attached to the cursor, how do I turn this off??? Thank you. 

I am trying to page number a document with front matter in Roman Numerals. I thought the issue would be using two number types but I can't even get past the step to use Roman Numerals as the format.  I tried in adobe for google drive, the desktop version, and the web version. I saw there was an issue in 2017. Could it be true that this still has not been figured out? Any help or referrals to something that actually works would be great!

I loved LiveCycle.  It allowed me to do this:Now, because XFA never grew and was discontinued, I need to create this functionality in Acrobat forms. I realize that Acroforms does not have growing fields, but I really am at a loss here.  I need to figure out a way to allow users to create a page 2 (3,4, etc), while putting the signature fields at the end.   This text may be copied/pasted from another application into this form.  When the user is done, they will "print to PDF," flattening the document into a multi-page PDF document.  I am looking for suggestions.  I am pretty good with the javascript, familiar with the use of hidden templates, and have a pretty good understanding of Acrobat form.  This is why I am discouraged by the number of "can't be done" comments.   I have come close with using the fieldFull event, but it seems to be a bit flakey.  The event.change and changeex  doesn't give me accurate data about

On MacOS Acrobat Pro 2024.005.20400, I can no longer delete and insert pages on duly password-protected PDFs (we want to protect the pages' content but leaving everything else possible). It says "operation not allowed" and then crashes. Last time I managed this operation was last december. Some newer version of Acrobat Pro since then must have introduced this bug.You can easily reproduce this bug like I just did with any PDF file (protect, save, close, open, try to add a page or delete one -> pop up + crash).Please help, since some of my company's critical documentation processes depend on it.
