I have a document in Acrobat I'm tryingto  make a fillable document that has many checkboxes. When I "prepare form" it put text boxes rather than checkboxes in a pdf I already have set up but im tryingto make these checkboxes. Unfortunately I can't seem to figure out how to make it work properly or even really add checkboxes. It did auto do some boxes in other areas but not for the majority of the document that I need. Please advise 

I cannot create a barcode in Acrobat using the font Free 3 of 9 like I always have. I can create it in Illustrator and paste in, but then it isn't editable. Any ideas?

Hi, I have shared a pdf file with my colleague that is only 4 pages long. First, second and last page have comments on them (in the form of drwaings). The third page does not show any comments despite the fact that he has made some on his tablet. Is there a way to fix this issue?

I redact a section of my document with Adobe Acrobat Pro but the 'apply redactions' button is opache and doesn't allow me to click on it. What am I doing wrong?

I am facing the problem. I have my PDF file, and I need it to convert to HTML. I am from Serbia, and in my PDF there are special characters like ć.č,đ,š,ž. When i convert to HTML or Word file, Instead, I get characters like {,^,~,},`, Could someone know the fix for this? Thanks

Hi gang -  I just created a document with e-signatures attached to it.   However, when I sent out the file, Adobe changed the document title in the Outlook Email to reflect a Client that I worked with 2 years ago.     The actual document sent was correct.    However, the Title was changed. How do I fix the document so that the end user doesn't see an prior client's name in the email title?

Like the title says, I have a dropdown box that shows stacked images when the text is called. All images are hidden until visible. Dear Community,I couldn't quite find what I was looking for using the search function, so here is my question:I would like to implement a button on a PDF using Java Script, that saves the PDF locally in the current state via a mouse up trigger and, ideally, adds a time stamp to the name.My first attempts were not successful, hence my question to you pros:Is this even possible? Buenos dias; tengo un problema al abrir un archivo de año 2016 con Acrobat Pro lo abre pero al querer mover a la siguiente pagina se encicla el programa y tengo que finalizar la tarea, el desinstale el Acrobat y tambien el Creative Cloud reinstale todo esta actualizado y hace lo mismo, si abro otros archivos de años mas reciente no tiene problemas, este archivo si lo abro con el Acrobat Web se abre correctamente no me genera ningun problema, hice una prueba de abrirlo con Adobe Reader y lo abre bien no tengo problemas al visualizarlo, cual puede ser el problema con Acrobat Pro?. Gracias

I have a large Word365 document that contains 120 high-res JPEG images and want to create a PDF without loss of image quality. I tried to use Adobe online tools but this failed because it apparently has a max size of 150mB - my file is close to 500mB.  I have read countless posts on this subject but still cannot find a way forward. My only remaining idea is to subscribe to Acrobat but I am not sure whether this will cope with such a large file - it would also make the single PDF rather expensive. Any comments or suggestions will be welcomed.

Dear All,since one day Adobe Acrobat DC cannot be used anymore and cannot be installed again.Anyone has the same problem? ciao Tom 

Hi Adobe Team, I am facing an issue with the activation of my Adobe Acrobat perpetual license.The license has been working fine on my old and new devices. However, on some laptops where it was previously activated and functioning without any issues, I am now encountering a sudden deactivation problem.These laptops were working perfectly with the same license until recently. Now, they are showing as not activated, despite no changes being made to the devices or the software installation.Could you please assist in resolving this issue? Acrobat is unusable why on earth are they trying to charge for it? I remember using this program not too long ago and I was able to accomplish my tasks but now it just full of error messages and glitches. As of 1/8/25 this program is garbage and Adobe should be ashamed of themselves for trying to charge a fee. WASTE of time and money aviod Acrobat at all costs as it is USELESS!!!! 

Hello! I have been using the mobile app Adobe Scan for some time and love it, however as of recently it has stopped working. I scan on the app no problem, and can view the document on the app itself, but when I try to open it on my laptop I get this error message every time:I have tried many things without avail, I am hoping this community can offer me some suggestions.Thanks in advance.

When my dropdown menu selects a rank, specific text field become visible. I'm trying to have a digital signature block validate other required text blocks when signing, and then if the required blocks aren't completed, then have the signature block cleared with a warning pop up saying " Please fill out all Required fields." while having the Digital Signature block be required and reset the block back to required if it is not signed, I just can't figure out the JavaScript for this feature.

I am curious do the new AI Assistant features like contextual prompts and intuitive categorization, require specific hardware specs or additional permissions to function fully? Also since the rollout is phased, is there any way to know when these features will be available for everyone?

Hello,I have attached a KMZ file to my PDF and I would like to have the viewer click a link in the document copy  and have that file open. How do I do this?

I have a date field where I need a certain format for the date but I have a custom format script showing an instruction that will go away once the applicant types text in the field.  For example, I want the applicant to see (MM/DD/YYY) on the text field. If they type in it, then that default instructional text will be replaced. I also want the date format (which is already available in the options) to be applied. Here is the custom script I have for the default instructional text:// Custom Format script for text field if (!event.value) { event.value = "text goes here"; event.target.display = display.noPrint; } else { event.target.display = display.visible; } Is it possible to have 2 or more custom scripts at the same time?

Acrobat appears to have three options for adding signatures: "Add a digital signature," which is the one in Acrobat Form and the one I have used. Then there are "Add a signature field" and "Add a signature block" under Prepare Form for E-signing. I don't understand what those two are for and what situation they'd be used in. Can anyone help explain this to me?

This is a continual problem where the Actobat is not responding, so I force quit.  It WILL NOT repon.  I've had to reinstall several times.   The last time I found a fix that instructed me to go to Activity Monitor and quit certain functions.  I can't find that post now and am not sure what is going on and how I can fix this so it will not continualy happen.   

When I use Send for Shared Commenting, I use a company internal network drive for shared reviews. This was working fine until I received the last update to Acrobat in late October; now, when I select the location, I receive an error that shares "Adobe Acrobat cannot write to the file destination provided. Enter a valid file location." I verified that I have full rights to this location and tested to make sure that I can create and write to files and folders there. My company help desk also had me try another location that I have full rights to. Another writer at my company who uses this process gets the same error on locations that have worked up to now. Was this broken with the latest update? If so, how soon will it be fixed?

Hello, I have some coworkers that have their files autosaving to the desktop.  They are not manually saving these files.  The bad part is they won't even show up until the next day on the desktop.  For example this happens when opening a PDF from an email when you don't actually need to save the file.
