Hi, it's my first time using adobe acrobat and the pdf I created I had to delete a section that wasn't needed, but I have this white empty space where the text used to be, how do delete that extra space or shift the information to the top to make it look normal? It's also like that for the other pages even though I didn't delete anything from those pages, there's a lot of empty white space and I need to figure out how to get rid of it.

It seems that since we have patched users with 26.001.21745, now when they try to print a PDF from any location to our papercut server, they are all getting the same Adobe has failed to print this document’ error box. Has anyone else experienced this?

I am using Acrobat DC. I have a client who only has Reader. She is requesting that I send her a fillable PDF that is locked. She needs to be able to unlock the PDF herself, edit the fillable fields, re-lock it, and send it out to her clients.I tried "restrict editing", and it does not stop the ability to edit the fillable fields.I tried creating a password protection, but when I unlock the document it only allows me to make changes under the Edit tool, not the fillable fields. Also it does not give me an option to use the password to use the Prepare Form tool. It just says that I cannot use Prepare Form because of the security settings.I also thought of locking each field in the properties window, but then she would not be able to unlock or edit them.I hope this makes sense. We believe we've identified a regression in the Adobe Acrobat Chrome extension introduced in the recent 26.7.x releases. Our web application generates PDF reports in response to an authenticated HTTP POST. The server returns the PDF successfully. However, when the Adobe extension is enabled, immediately after the successful POST, the browser performs an unexpected GET request to the same URL. This GET fails because the endpoint is POST-only. When the Adobe extension is disabled, the unexpected GET does not occur, and the application functions normally. We have HAR files and server logs showing both cases. (extension enabled and extension disabled) We also noted a related report regarding version 26.7.2.0 and authenticated PDFs in the community.Can engineers investigate this. I have a relatively quick computer, i7 64gb ram, and OMG just opening Acrobat, or any sized documents takes forever… :30 seconds minimum. 6-12 months ago they opened instantly. This is painful. I literally forget what I was looking for in reports by the time these documents open up. I uninstalled and reinstalled (Continuous Release 2026 001 21431). Dell XPS 9510 64gb, 2x1TB SSDs, Windows 11 Pro Insider Program (which I predict will be said to be the problem) all updated. I ran the repair and it took at least 15 minutes? How do I change the properties of a shape (in this case, a rectangle) that I am drawing onto a .pdf in Acrobat? I selected the shape and right clicked, but there is no “Properties” option, only “Document Properties”. P.S. How do I resize an image I’ve uploaded into a question on the Adobe forums? It used to be easy to do so, but now I can’t figure it out. The only option I seem to be able to do is “add a caption”.

Adobe Reader will not save using “save as” to a long path in Windows 11 using the Windows 11 File Manager.  You have to click “cancel” and then start the save process again and then the save will work.

I'm hoping to get my employers to allow use of the Document Cloud to perform shared reviews, instead of having to collate comments from multiple PDFs exchanged via email.   I have a subscription to both the Creative Cloud and to FrameMaker, which includes Acrobat DC Pro and Document Cloud. Acrobat DC Pro allows me to create a shared review on the Document Cloud.   Do my reviewers need a subscription to Acrobat DC Pro and to the Document Cloud, or can they use the free Acrobat Reader DC to access the PDF on the Document Cloud and provide comments? My understanding is that as long as I send them the link to the document on the Document Cloud, they should be able to use just the free Acrobat Reader to provide commentary. From the various FAQs, this seems to be the case, but it is not explicitly stated. My company uses a site that converts ENV files to PDFs and this has worked for 10 years. After the latest 2 chrome extension update for Adobe, it is now giving a 403 access denied message. Extension version 26.5.2 worked without having to change anything. Version 26.7.x.x and 26.8.1.2 are causing issues. We have to now turn off the “allow access to file URLs” and turn off the “Online PDFs” in the Open PDFs in Acrobat from your browser section of Adobe Acrobat Preferences to get this function to work. What has changed and can we get back to where we don’t have to manually change settings for something that worked fine up until last week.

Oh well, Ive attempted several fixes Per Adobe Support. 1st Attempt we cleared out windows credential manager of adobe credentials. It reoccured about 2 weeks later. 2nd Support Attempt; Running Adobe Acrobat as Administrator - We selected Help > Repair Installation. The issue reoccured 1 day laterI am curious if others are experencing this as a reoccuring issue. I was wondering if anyone else is having the following issues with Adobe acrobat 26.001 21691. Stops responding when you try to print a document. If you let is sit there it eventually starts responding. Adobe will randomly crash.Note: We have been experiencing these issues randomly over the past few years, but I have had 6 different employees report these issues in the past 2 days.The only similarity is they are all run this version of adobe.

I have acrobat pro on a new computer.  I need to change the default settings to have "collate" checked.  I know I can do this manually every time but thats a pain to remember.  I searched the internet and cannot find an answer.  Adobes website says collation is the default setting but that is not the case.  Thanks for any help anyone can give me.

I've looked at all the posts and their answers. It's very frustrating. I've done all the suggestions. Still no scrollbar. If I adjust the page size manually -- pull it in or out -- the bars appear for a few seconds then disappear. I can't grab them. I cannot scroll up/down or side to side. Mac Ventura. Acrobat Pro version 2023.006.20320 Any other ideas or will there be an update to fix?

I’m using Adobe Acrobat on Windows 11.I opened a PDF in Acrobat and later closed the document. After closing the document, Windows still reported that the PDF file was in use by Adobe Acrobat and would not allow me to rename or move the file.The Windows message said that the action could not be completed because the file was open in Adobe Acrobat.Closing just the PDF document was not enough. The file became available immediately only after I completely exited Adobe Acrobat. After Acrobat was closed, I could rename the file normally.Expected behavior: once the PDF document is closed in Acrobat, Acrobat should release the file handle so the file can be renamed, moved or deleted without closing the entire application.Actual behavior: Acrobat continues to keep the PDF locked until the whole Acrobat application is closed.Environment: Windows 11.I can provide a screenshot of the Windows “File in use” message.

I’ve tried every option, including looking in the preferences menu, disabling new acrobat, and looking in the edit menu and there is no way for me to disable auto adjust in acrobat. I’m running version 2026.001.21771 on windows.

Hello, Ever since I installed Acrobat DC it has been harrassing me with "tutorial" pop-ups like the attached. I have searched extensively (both with Google and through the preferences pane) and I can't figure out how to disable these entirely (rather than just dismissing them one at a time [by clicking the X] when they come up). Can anybody help? -Sam 

When is it necessary to use Adobe Distiller in the creation of PDFs? I use the Mac OS (i.e. OS X). I export from inside the application Pages. The resulting PDFs look (for the most part) fine. Occasionally, there are apparent font substitutions when I view the exported document in Adobe Acrobat Pro. I've experimented with Distiller but never been successful. This is a typical message. Is Distiller worth bothering with?
