I upgraded a legacy CHM project from RH 2017 to 2020. The output is missing the Favorites tab and the Search tool shows "No topics found" even when I search on exactly rendered topic names. The Favorites tab and the Search tab worked properly in the RH 2017 CHM. I unfortunately do not have access to RH 2017, but I do have the source project files.Any workarounds or hacks are greatly appreciated!Also, FWIW I find that the online Adobe RH help does not have keyword search for its own help, which is VERY aggravating.

I'm using RH Classic 2019 and am getting the following warning for many, many files within certain projects when choosing the Print option and generating to MS Word. (Other projects generated successfully, about 10 days ago.)I cannot work out why this would be the case as there are no suspect links or fields. I've looked in the code and have tried generating just one file, and removing parts of the topic until the error appeared - it seemed to possibly be a bullet that was causing it - but why would this be the case? The bullets are the same as in projects which did generate successfully.If I click Yes to this every time it appears, the project does generate successfully but it may mean clicking yes 70+ times. I have tried disabling the warnings but have also had no success with that.If anyone has any ideas, please let me know! Many thanksLaura

I would like to change the default location of my robohelp 2020 projects. Right now the default folder is under c:\users and I want it to be d:\robohelp_projects. I realize I can change the location when I create a new project, but I want to change the default location so I don't have to remember each time to change the location.

Using RoboHelp 2020.5.71 I have a couple old "active" reviews I want to delete. I found this recent post, How to delete active reviews? but using the new Delete option in RoboHelp results in an error: The Help menu does not have an option to view the error log, so I can't tell what went wrong or how to fix it. Is there another way to delete old "active" reviews?Thank you!

I am formatting some tables and i would like to work with the vertical justification of text in the cells, but I can not find the controls. There are controls for horizontal justification though. I am overlooking something for sure but where?...

I am using Rh2020.5.71.  I have inserted images into text and been able to give the image an 'Alternate Text' name.  I can place images inside of tables but, I am unable to give the images in a table an 'Alternate Text'.  When I click on the image in the table, the text I type into the Alternate Text space disappears.Is anyone else having this issue? 

Hello, is there a way to configure the TOC in a way that only the current branch in the TOC is active? All other bracnches collapse by default when another branch is active. I use Robohelp 2020.5.71 with the frameless layot and the HTML 5 layot. Thanks in advance for tips and answers.

I downloaded Adobe Robohelp on my AWS workspace. The installation process starts but does not complete. The Adobe RoboHelp Installer shows a blank page. Can someone help me find the solution to this issue?

I have succesfully created a PDF of my Robohelp project, is there anyway I can create an index (similar to the table of contents)? I can, within Adobe view the bookmarks, but this isn't an index. 

I have set up a connection profile to a sharepoint directory and its all working fine. The only issue is that RH keeps asking us to sign back into Microsoft, despite selecting the stay logged in for 7 days check box. This seems to be happening whenever the session time out. Sometimes you can be logging in 7 - 8 times a day and it gets really tiring. I have gone into the sign-in options and successfully logged into our domain. Is there anything else I can do so that RH does not keep asking us to login all the time. We are worried about thinking we are signed into Microsoft and in fact we arent. How would this effect the checking in process? We dont want to lose files. 

Using RoboHelp Classic 19, we have forms imported in a project as baggage files. I need to be able to link directly to these individual forms (baggage files) from other RoboHelp projects.

hi, I'm working on an HTML5 project. My team adds this project to a help server and then it appears as a knowledge center in one of my company's saas products. When I generate the project output, everything looks fine on my local machine. Recently, I updated the project and added the updated output to our help server. I checked how it appeared in our product (using Chrome) and everything looks fine again. However, multiple members of my team (also using Chrome) have told me that they can see an issue where some of the text appears mangled. I cleared my the browser's cache, restarted my machine, and checked the product again and I still don't see the issue. I figured out what's causing the issue in the project but I'm concerned that an issue is visible to everyone but me. This can cause problems for future updates because I don't know how I'm supposed to verify if a project generated correctly. Does anyone know why others can see an issue but I can't? Thank you!

I inherited some projects with tables that use paragraph style in the first row, and it looks like shading was manually applied to the first rows. Now there's an accessiblity requirement to change the shading to a darker color. Does anyone have any specific details about how to set up a style with shading that will fill the row...without using a "TopRow" style? I took an existing TopRow style and tried editing it multiple times, but each time it caused me grief, as when I applied it to the first row, the dark fill was applied to all of the table and not just the first row. 

I have a brand new project that I created yesterday on my local c drive. I added the project to Sharepoint. I have checked in some image files that I added yesterday. I have one topic in this project. I added to the topic throughout yesterday. However, at the end of the day I went to close the project (thinking everything was saved) and I got this error. The project closed and I have lost some of my updates. I searched on this site and this error seems to be a permissions error ie not having permissions to the folder where the project is. But I do have permissions  and I have another project stored with this hierarchy and I have never received this error before and its still working fine.    

Hi Sir/Madam, I have decompiled a CHM file, the Context sensitive file is missing after decompilaion.Could you help me recovering the MAP file from the CHM? or Is there any way to get the MAP file for the same? Though it is a large file, its difficult to create the whole MAP ID manually as we are in the final stage of project release in our organisation. It will be really helpfull if i get any solution.  Thanks in advance.Regards,Saravanan M

Hi,In our project RoboHelp 2017 is being used on laptops. Whenever we generate the WebHelp, we encounter issues such as loss of formatting and few topics with 0 KB in the folder. We have to regenerate at least 3-5 times for the files to appear correctly. The issues werent there when we used desktops. Can somebody please help? 

We have a project that has been added to sharepoint using Collaborate > Add Project. I need to edit this project so I selected Collaborate > Open Connection > Sharepoint Profile. I navigated to the folder on sharepoint, selected the .rhjp file and selected Open. Robohelp said it was downloading files. It is a huge project  (nearly 7,000 files).The project is now in Robohelp. However, when I went to edit a topic, I did not get a message to say that it is not checked out. If  I right-click the topic, check out is not listed as an option and if I select Collaborate > Check in, the file I have edited is not showing up as needing to be checked in. Its like Robohelp does not think there is any version control on this topic. So far, this has happened on about 4 topics. However, its not happening on all of them. I have now selected collaborate > Get latest version to try and get these files from sharepoint. In Robohelp Classic 19, is there a way when I link to the certain topics on the page that the URL link will direct the user to that individual topic?  For example when I click on the JIS Cross Reference Word-JIS and that topic. The URL never changes making it difficult for me to link to certain topics/forms.      Moving from Using the Community (which is about the forums) to the correct forum... I'm using RoboHelp to create a PDF, then embedding that PDF into a CHM (again using RoboHelp) so users can easily print the Help contents. This process has worked seamlessley for years, but when I recompiled yesterday, the PDF will no longer load in Microsoft's CHM viewer. Instead, I just get a blank gray screen, shown below. There's nothing wrong with the PDF, and when I view the CHM using RoboHelp, the PDF works fine. I've narrowed it down to whether or not Acrobat is installed on the machine. If it is, the PDF doesn't load, but uninstalling Acrobat will prompt the user to Open or Save it, since the CHM viewer is using Internet Explorer in the background. Has anyone else experienced this? The only workaround so far is to set the PDF to open in a new window, which will open it in IE. This is far from ideal.

I import a property_master.hts snippet file and a property_detail.htm file for our property listings. The snippet has hyperlinks to the bookmarks in the property_detail file. When I preview the snippet, I can click on a hyperlink and it navigates to the appropriate bookmark. However, when I generate the frameless output and try it in any browser, clicking on the hyperlink goes to the property_detail html page, but does not go to the bookmark. Sometimes it looks like it's going to the bookmark, but then jumps to the top of the page. This works correctly when generated with RH classic 2019, but not in the new RH 2019.  Any idea how I get it to navigate to the bookmark in the generated output? Thanks

Using Windows 10 and the latest updates to RoboHelp 2020 and FrameMaker 2020. Linking and importing FrameMaker documents within RoboHelp used to worked with the 2017 versions of the software. It does not work using the 2020 versions. I create a new project in RoboHelp 2020, create a new folder, link or import FrameMaker 2020 documents or book, then try to Create/Update the files, but no topics are created. Are there steps needed to get this to work? This is basic functionality that should work out-of-the-box. Need to deliver work, so I do not have months to wait for a fix. Thanks.

I'm using RoboHelp 2020.5.71. In Firefox, topics with multiple auto-numbered lists aren't displaying the numbers in the correct order:  Chrome does not have the same problem:Is there a way to fix this?
