I am using RH 2020.5.71.I have many situations where I want to use a snippet but there is just one word that needs to be different from one case to another. For example, let's say I have two topics and I want one to say "Four score and seven years ago" and the other to say "Four score and seven days ago". Is there are way to insert a variable into the snippet so it is "Four score and seven {UNITS} ago"? And then in topic #1 I set the variable value to be "years" and topic #2, set the variable value to be "days"? I know this is asking a lot, but thought I would check. My real snippet is much more complex, containing graphics and multiple occurances of {UNITS}.

Looks like I'm having about the same problem as PMCDEV (see post Project upgraded from RH9 to RH2020 missing all to... - Adobe Support Community - 12121403).In my case it concerns an upgrade of a RH2017 project to RH2020. In our project we have several folders  containing the topics. Only part of these folders are carried over to RH2020 when upgrading the project. The upgrade stops within a minute with the following message: "The application has run into an error. Please save your unsaved changes and restart from menu: Help > Restart RoboHelp". Restarting does not solve the problem. As a result of the solutions offered to PMCDEV I tried to fix the .fpj's with a script. This doesn't help.  I don't know much about fpj files and don't know what to look for to see if they are ok. Can someone help me with my issue?

Hi,I have upgraded my xpj pjt to robohelp 2019 version. I have noticed after upgrade missed the existing toc, indez, search, glossay from xpj older project. Pls let me know if anything needs to do while upgarding existing project to keep existing toc, search, glossary etc. Thanks & regards,Dileep

We have short section & topic titles so when we display the Contents in any of the phone layouts, there's a lot of whitespace between the TOC entries and the wee bit of topic displayed in the right pane. I tried changing the width of the TOC pane in the custom skin I created, and that change sticks in RoboHelp after I Save All and even open and close the file. However, when I generate the Help, the TOC panel displays in the default width. Is there any way to narrow the TOC pane in phone view? If so, are there any caveats in doing so?

Is there a way to open the generated output from the windows file explorer? I'm testing RoboHelp 2020 on a virtual machine and would like to test the output outside of that environment. I can open the windows explorer files on my regular PC, but I'm not sure where the ouptuts are saved.

Not sure if this can be controlled from RH2020. I have a frameless output and the when we click Help from within the product, the help is launched in a new browser window.However, it does not display the full browser controls like the Refresh button or Back and Next buttons. Is that something that we can set from RH?

I was able to create pdf's in release 4 but after applying release 5 I get the error "Output Generation Failed to generate PDF."Has anyone else had this problem?

I am using RoboHelp 2020. When I change to a different TOC item my browser tab text is reading the title of the table of contents. I would like the browser tab to be a specified fixed name, is that possible? I looked for the option to make this chane in Project Settings, as othr posts suggested, however, I do not see any option of adjusting how the browser tab text responds.  Does anyone know where I can adjust this element?

Is it possible to upload a word document manual like this into Robohelp with notes in the margins all throughout? Hello,The .rhpj file "Date modified" date is never updated/accurate. Is there a way or file within the folder structure that you'al go by to determine the date that it was last updated? Thank you so much.

V12.0.2.384Using Preview Topic a LOT, suddenly it broke - the window no longer is generated or appears. I don't know if this is a bug or if somehow the window is hidden, but when I right-click on the topic and choose Preview Topic, something flashes really fast in the bottom bar and I can't tell what it is - all I can catch is "Waiting for .....file ....."I've tried rebooting. My project is local. I've spent an hour trying to get this to work again. I use Preview Topic ALL THE TIME. Now I must review the whole system each time I want to see my topic's appearance. UGH! Can anyone help??

The TOC does not display when publishing to Sharepoint using Responsive HTML It displays correctly when publishing locally. If I click the logo it will display, but I shouldn't have to do that.I have Version 2020.5.71 of Adobe Robohelp (not Classic).

How do you create multiple pages within a book?  Presently when I use the "+" next to the table of contents I created a couple pages but they all have the same information on them.  Thanks for your helpDean

Is there a way to run a report that will output all the all the pages' linked baggage files and also include the date they were created and/or uploaded? Such as pull file info from a PDF, word or excel doc. I'm asking because or site has 4000+ documents, and some are older than we'd like. I want to be able to find them quickly and keep and 'Inventory' of what we have with the dates attatched. Thanks for the help.

I have edited the Azure_Blue skin to my company branding (colour scheme, font, etc), and changed the Home logo in the Header bar. In the skin editor, everything shows as desired, however, when generating the output to Responsive HTML, the skin displays the default template, showing none of my changes.

In bulleted and numbered lists, I want to create style so that I can have a pargraph that is not numbered within the list. I think I need to use a hanging.indent? I am not sure how to do this in the style editor? 

I am using Rh2020.4.173.  I have topics named using numbers and other characters such as ? or &.  I added ? to the special characters in the Responsive HTML5 output but the search still does not return my topic called What is xxxxxx? How do I get special characters like ?, &, and others to be searchable

I own RH2019 (this is not a subscription-based install) and I remember when I installed it, it gave me the ability to work in the RH2019 interface as well as RH2020. I have a project that I am working on which I started in RH2019 and would like to switch and convert a copy to view and edit in RH2020.  I can launch the 2020 interface using samples included in RH2019 for RH2020; however, I can't find a menu item in the toolbar or otherwise to open an RH2019 project in RH2020.  Any guidance would be appreicated. 

I am using RH 2019, with an indigo html5 skin.My glossary terms in the output are identical to the cross-ref links and hyperlinks (blue, underlined). I went into the css to specify a different color but to no avail. I right-clicked on a gloss term in the output and did 'Inspect', saw this webkit-based code:  [user agent stylesheeta:-webkit-any-link {color: -webkit-link;cursor: pointer;text-decoration: underline;]I then looked for the 'user agent' style sheet, nada. I am so sorry if this is obvious. Using RH 2019, I can't seem to publish to HTML5 with "no TOC". I don't want the TOC at all because I only have 1 topic I want to show. In my Azure Blue skin screenshot below, I don't have the TOC on, but it still publishes the TOC. Please help.

I created a frameless output using a customized copy of the Orange skin and RoboHelp 2020.4.173.  We have Windows 2019 running on our server.  The output displays and functions correctly for me when I use Chrome, the Chromium version of Edge, or Firefox.  It does not work using IE, Safari, or Opera.  Is this expected?A customer reported that the Search is not working using Chrome or Edge (and to my knowledge did not try Firefox).  When the customer enters data in the search field, the system displays a drop-down list of matching search terms.  If the customer clicks one of the search terms or clicks Enter, nothing happens.  Is anyone else experiencing this?  Ideas on how to resolve? Would there be any security and/or browser settings that would allow the Search to work for some individuals and not for others?Thanks!

Every time I publish to Zendesk my topics get reordered. Is there a way to force Zendesk to honor my RoboHelp TOC?

I get this message when I generate a word output from my help.It doesn't point to the specific issue to probe. Any idea how to fix this? Where to look for possible misses?It accepts the word template that I provide correctly. Only at the last step it fails.

In rh2017 we could add an embed code in the html view. in rh2020 can we add this? We have some videos on brainshark and the url to that. We want to add it in the help content so the user can click and play it inline. We have an embed code to track the usage in Brainshark that we want to include as well.
