Hi All,I'm using RH 2019 Classic, and trying to generate Responsive HTML5 output with the default Azure Blue layout. Can anyone tell me how to change the header default height and font size?I can't seem to find those settings in the layout customization window.The header does not show up on "phones", which is fine, but when it does appear on desktops and tablets, I would like it to be somewhat smaller.  Thanks in advance.

Hi, Everyone. I'm avoiding inline styling and trying to keep clean code, in general. But I don't really have HTML skills.  Somehow, I've produced some text in RH 2020.4.173 that has two things I did not intend:  white space between paragraphs and lots of span tags. (Please see screenshots.) SCREENSHOT 1 SCREENSHOT 2 I've copied-and-pasted the text from a MS Word file first into Notepad, then from Notepad into RH 2020. Shouldn't that have stripped the copied text of any inline styling? Also, the dropdown header in Screenshot 3 shows span tags in the breadcrumbs, but not in code view (Screenshot 4).  Adobe Robohelp 2020.4.173 Windows 10 Hi all, On one of our devices that use Robohelp, we observe the next issue.After the user generates Frameless output and presses the eye button, the browser appears but Robo window turns completely white and stop to respond. Please check the screenshot below. Nothing helps except reload.Thank you for an advise.  

We are developing our first help system using RoboHelp 2019. The project is currently stored on a server, but if I use SharePoint Online instead, is there a way for SMEs without a RoboHelp license to make emergency changes to topics (e.g., if there is an emergency software update that affects a task step and they can't wait for us to update the help file)? The request is that SMEs be able to make emergency changes (knowing that we technical communicators would need to still re-publish the project), and then we technical communicators would come back to review the topic for our standards and update tagging, expressions, etc. when we are able.  I suspect you need to have RoboHelp to avoid breaking links, but would editing the topic file in Notepad or something else might work? This may be an obvious "no," but I'm fairly new to the more technical aspects of RoboHelp projects. Thank you in advance!

Hi y'all,I'm having a problem with RoboHelp 2020.4.173 on Windows10 not creating PDFs using the fonts I specify.Our company-approved font face is Proxima Nova, which I have installed and which appears correctly in every other application. InDesign, for instance, creates beautiful PDFs using that font. Windows tells me it's "installable" which, I understand, also means embeddable.In RoboHelp, I've added Proxima Nova to the File > Project Settings > Font List. It's also littered throughout my CSS, starting withbody {font-family: "Proxima Nova";font-size: 9.5pt;}as well as for elements such as H1, H2, etc.I made sure to set the PDF preset's Advanced tab > Embed used fonts to ENABLED.When RoboHelp generates the PDF, it replaces Proxima Nova (a sans serif font) with Adobe Sans MM (sans serif) or Tinos (serif), though there seems to be no rhyme or reason. Sometimes it switches between the two in the middle of a sentence! Neither of these fonts is mentioned or specified in any of my

We have a project that's divded into two major parts.  The topics are divided accordingly.  When I generate either the Responsive HTML5 or Frameless output for the project, the first part is fine.  The second part (which is currrently much smaller) contains none of the topics that are listed under it in the ToC, but shows 2 of the topics that are in the other part.  The topics shown are also where they are supposed to be.  I deleted that part of the ToC and readded it, but that did nothing.  Anyone have any ideas?

When generate my project in RoboHelp 2020 the archived document does not have the archived statement on the top of the page, like it had in RoboHelp Classic. Is RoboHelp no longer including the statement to archived document?

We use RoboHelp 2019 to author WebHelp content for the online help of our web application. We use the RoboHelp 2015 command-line to generate the output as part of our continuous integration system with the final installs of the web application. The online help is included within the web application under a separate directory and is ultimately served by IIS. Any configuration that we make for the web application necessarily affects the delivery of the help content (HTML, CSS, Javascript, and images) to the end user. Due to new customer security requirements and changing guidelines for best practices in web application development, we have added a Content-Security-Policy HTTP header to the configuration for IIS. We are not allowed to use the 'unsafe-inline' or 'unsafe-eval' directives in this header. Three examples, A & B are fine but C is broken. A: If a page is shown in context, it includes a %2F slash in the URL and it works fine:localhost/index.htm#t=The_Asset_Editors%2FSprites.htmB: If a page is shown without context, it includes an actual slash / and it works fine:localhost/The_Asset_Editors/Sprites.htmC: However, when an out-of-context page includes a %2F slash, it works BUT causes an issue:localhost/The_Asset_Editors%2FSprites.htmWhat issue does this cause?In this case, it does not seem to know that the current page is inside the "/The_Asset_Editors/" directory. So if there is a hyperlink that takes you to "Objects.htm", instead of taking you to "/The_Asset_Editors/Objects.htm" it takes you to "/Objects.htm" which doesn't exist.Also,I am not sure how a user is reaching example C organically.Thank you

While using RoboHelp Classic I had a page with a link to take a person to a different page with a new table of contents that housed the archive pages. Is there a way to link to a separate table of contents in RoboHelp 2020 and have the archive contents generate for this table?

Hi,While creating word output in RH2020, all my preset layouts are not generating in the file. Can somebody tell how can we export the word file with its preset layout configurations? Also, when we generate out for print we have to create a new TOC everytime, is there a shortcut with which we can avoid this and directly convert the file to word. Thanks

So it seems to have with changes in robohelp between these versions? What are the changes between these versions?In 2019.0.14 it seems to have to do with the amount of topics or with the cache in some way?  I have tested to start a new project and import topics and folders and it works fine up to a certain number.  It might be a some problems with some of the topics (but I doubts it) I can not find out wha

When I click "Save and Generate" for printed documentation for my project, nothing happens. I don't get an error message as others have mentioned; it just doesn't do anything, though it had always worked before.It started with RH 2017, and today I tried again after updating to RH 2019 Classic. I'm using Word via Microsoft 365 Enterprise, so I assume I have a compatible version.I tried it with one of the sample projects, and that worked fine. It first happened a few months ago, but I didn't really need it, so I didn't deal with it then.

Hi y'all,Using RoboHelp 2020.4.173 (up-to-date as of this posting).I want to create a PDF output preset such that the cover page (first topic in the ToC's Front Matter) uses one master page (PDF_Cover_Page), and the rest of the book uses another (book).Some strange behavior I'm seeing in the Master Pages tab in the desired Output Preset:When I select a master page for the First Page field in either Chapters & Topics or Front Matter Topics, it does NOT signal that the preset has been changed (there's no * in the tab's title).When I make a change and hit <ctrl><s> to save, then close the preset and reopen, my change is lost.These could explain why, when I generate the PDF, the master pages are not being applied as I instruct, but I'm guessing. Here's the process I used to specify the master pages:On Master Pages tab, I clicked Specify separate master pages, leaving Master page at the top blank.In Chapters & Topics, I picked the book master page for the First Page

I am working with TCS 2020 and have created a new project in RH that contains referenced FM files.1. problem: book with IVZ can not be imported.For single FM files it worked. For FM books not: the import is aborted with an error message. Only when I remove the IVZ file from the book, I can import the book in RH 2020.I tried the two import settings for IVZs in all variants (all active, all off, single active). Always the import aborts.2nd problem: Renaming of graphic names during import.The graphic import has changed.We generated referenced graphics in the RH project and then always overwrote them with the original graphics afterwards, because the quality was never good. The quality of the graphics is still not good in the new import in RH 2020, but now the graphic names are renamed according to the themes. This is even more of a disaster. I can't find an import setting that affects the naming. I have only seen the original graphic name appear as "alternate text".Who has practical exper

Hi all, I am new to Robohelp. I am using 2020 version and currently collaborating with my colleagues to develop knowledge bank. I want to use the Master Page and display the topic author (set in the topic properties) on the header of the page.Has someone done that before?  Thanks Yoel

Hi, I have inserted front matter including Cover page and TOC page in book type TOC. I have selected this book TOC in the PDF output preset settings. But I don't see the Contents page in the generated PDF output. What is TOC page then? Even the sample Compass Travel project does not have a Contents page in the generated PDF output. Thanks and regards,Madhu Rao  

Hi,I'm using Robohelp 2020, I have a project in Japanese and Chinese. I have created TOC and Index, before generating the output the texts in TOC and Index looks fine and after generating Microsoft HTML help, The textson the TOC and Index navigation pane of the CHM file is appeared as "?".I have tried changing the language in project settings and generated the output again, still the issue is persisting. Could you please help me resolving this issue? Thanks and regards,Saravanan M

I have configured everything successfully and I am just in the process of creating my output preset. And I click on Articles tab and I have this screen. So my question is, will each if the topics be a separate article? It looks like the answer is yes. So if I want all my topics to be one kb article I need to have one RH Topic? 

It's great that people come here to the RoboHelp forum as often it is the case that other users can provide better answers than Support because of their real world experience.   However, it is often the case that people don't then come back to offer help when they can. That is how the forum used to work and there were many supporters all with different skills.   If you have had a question answered or just been pointed in the right direction, there are two things I want to ask of you.   Please come back and mark the answer as Correct. It makes it easier for the next person with that problem. Pay back. Look at the questions posted each day or week and try to answer one. It's how I learned!   We need more people answering questions. Using RH 2020, Update 4. The output is Frameless, using the Oceanic skin.Is there a way to control the print functionality in the Mini-TOC? I would like to either have the printed file to contain the header and footer from the Master Page on each page, or have the Print icon open a designated PDF file. If I'm unable to do either, is there a way to disable the Print icon in the Mini-TOC?   

Can someone please explain the purpose and usage of User Assets option in RH 2020? I am not able to view any reference guide online for this. 

Hi, Everyone. In RH 2019 (new UI), I'm using images essentially in just two ways:  at 700 px and at 500 px (Please see screenshot, below). My question is, Can I just insert the image without resizing it in the properties pane? (My image files are optimized JPEGs, of around 120k and 1000 px wide.) So far, I've done both: Inserted images and adjusted the image properties to the specific size needed.Inserted images and just left them alone, with no additional adjustment. I don't see any difference in the output.  What's the best practice, here? Thank you! SCREENSHOT:

RH 2021.  I don't know if this just started with the last upgrade or some option I hit without knowing it. When editing content, you have to apply styles.  It used to be that the style list was pinned to the right side of the window. Now it disappears (collapses) each time I move the cursor back into the editing window.    Then I have to hit the "S" icon on the right border to get it back again.  This is wasting a lot of my time.  Is there any way to pin it down?
