Hello,I've put together a collection of imported .pdf documents into a topic. Is there any way to have the search feature in Robohelp search the contents of the attachments? I'm sure this is a NO but was wondering if there are other ideas out there? Thank-you!
My company is trying to make our help system, created using RoboHelp HTML 2015, Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) compliant at the "AA" level. Has anyone had their Responsive HTML5 output successfully evaluated as WCAG-compliant? Our developers are concerned the tabbing order from table of contents to content window will cause us to fail.
Asking question again. Recently updated to RoboHelp 2019. Primary Output is WebHelp. Search works perfectly. I then have to do Output of WebHelp to CHM because our software product running Help needs it in CHM. When I view CHM output, all the data is there, e.g. TOC, topics, etc. however, when I try to search nothing is retrieved. I'm having difficulty locating project settings for CHM output. I thought maybe it was issue with skin I used in RoboHelp 11, so I updated skin and still search only working in WebHelp output, not CHM. Below are my WebHelp Settings for Search
I know that svn isn't supported yet. All of the marketing materials said svn would work, and the videos all say svn is supported, so we bought it only to find out that they're still working on it. Unfortunately, still working on it isn't an answer I can use right now, as my developers only use svn and I have to get this newly upgraded project to fit into the svn model now, not when three more service packs are released. So, with that in mind, has anyone had any success using svn with the new RH 2019 format? I'm contemplating just putting the project into source control, and using tortoise to do the svn update before I update, manually check out files in tortoisesvn when I need to edit things. I have one user, though, who is very wary of svn and is easily frustrated by it, so I'm not sure that's a plan of action I'm ready to take. I was hoping someone figured out how to hammer it in to svn with Edit>Preferences or something along those lines... any thoughts, suggestions, or war stori
Hello,we are currently using Adobe RoboHelp 2017 to create the help system for our new product. We really liked the Indigo layout, so we customized it (heavily) and applied it. That is working great so far. However, I noticed today that some of the links in the topics themselves are not working on iPhone (iPhone SE and iPhone 6). When I tap them, the same page is just reloaded and sometimes after the tap, the content is no longer scrollable.I thoroughly tested the links on other devices (Android Galaxy S4 mini, iPad, Android Galaxy Tab S2, iMac, various Windows 10 browsers) and the links work everywhere else. You can check this behavior yourself on iPhone: For example, in CELUM Marketing Project Management Help the links (light blue, bold text) in the section "First steps" don't work at all and only reopen the same page ("Get started") again, while the links in the bullet list on the same page work fine.On other pages it is also wildly different between links and pages and I can't really
Hi,We are working on FAQs and trying to organize the question and the answer in an expanding text format. So when the user clicks the question, the answer shows up beneath. The question that we make clickable appears in italics and green font. It does not look very appealing. Is there a smart way to format it to make it look more clickable or intuitive?
I have a few questions about setting up Sharepoint for source control in Robohelp 2019. At this stage, I'm just trying to see if I can get it to work with the sample projects included when you install Robohelp.1. Are all versions of sharepoint included. My understanding is that we are using sharepoint 365, and that was not previously supported by robohelp.2. To add a new project to sharepoint, would you manually copy the files over to sharepoint, and then download locally, or would you do a first checkin from your local version? I think in the previous version there was an option to add a project to source control, but I can't see that any more?Long story short, I have a support ticket in with adobe for an application error I receive when trying to check files in. But I'm not sure if i'm just following the wrong process. Don't want to take up too many people's time on this, so if there's resources that explain the whole process from start to finish, I'm happy to nut it out myself. But
I am using RoboHelp 2019 and am trying to apply the glosstext style to the expanded text definition (red box on left in image below) on a glossary term. I have the glossterm style (yellow shading image below) applied to the term, but am unable to apply the glosstext style to the drop down definition text and keep it separate from the topic text. See attached image.
I have a question on CI. Is it possible to integrate the generated output file from RoboHelp with GitHub or any command line utility. If yes can you please let me know how to do it?
We are having some project files done in version 8 and upgraded to version 2019 classic (a gradual upgrade from 8 - 10 - 2015-2019 was done for the project files). When working on these files in 2019, we get a broken link, and while trying to restore this error, the following error message is displayed. Even after you fix this error by editing and linking it to the correct file/bookmark and save it, the next time you open the project, the same broken link appears. Any ideas on what this could be from? Because this # symbol is something the system puts in while linking to a bookmark. Any help on this is greatly appreciated.
Hi AllWe have got a new instance of 2019 version of Robohelp. And, our project files are done on a different machine with Robohelp version 8. Now that we try to open and edit these files created n version 8, the project manager in 2019 does not show some of the files and folders (in both the views of Project Manager). However, the files and folders are copied to and present in the same folder where other files are put. While upgrading the project to the new version, we got a message about one particular .gif file that it is not in scope of the project. However, that was for one particular file only. Also, it is noticed that many of these missing files are shown in the broken links folder with no red icon against them. However, we do not see any broken links in version 8 of the Robohelp with the same sets of files and folders. We do have three /four different documentation sets for various versions of the product and in all of these, the same set of folders (more or less) are miss

I've encountered a confusing CSS issue in my Robohelp Responsive HTML5 output that I cannot seem to resolve. In the images below, the top image represents the correct CSS styling as presented in RoboHelp. The bottom image represents the actual responsive HTML5 output. As you can see, the font and bolding are missing in the output. I am only dealing with CSS issues in one section of my project. Does anyone know what I can do to resolve this? I've tried manually altering the CSS in the layout.css file to no avail. Thanks
I am generating webhelp using RoboHelp HTML 10 and most of my formatting dictated in my Master .css is collapsing in the output. The output looks as below:
Hello all,Let me start by saying I really did try to find this in the Forums but just kept coming up empty. Sorry if I missed it. I also did a chat with Adobe Support and they didn't have any way to assist.I'm using RH 2017, fully up to date, local projects, using Responsive HTML5 output, merged projects. Everything is working wonderfully. Now we have determined that we would like to include some extra code and scripts in the code that RH is generating for the start page (and yes, we are using index.htm as the name of our start page so that it loads automatically). I know that I can accomplish what I want by copying in the additional .js scripts into the templates\scripts folder of the output and then manually edit the index.htm file before I publish - but I'd rather not have to do that every time I generate.Based on what Adobe Support replied, there is no supported way to do this. I thought I'd check here to see if there are any tips that may get me all or part of the way there. Thanks
Our IT team use HP Fortify scanner to verify webhelp content created from RH 2017 (13.0.2.334) which identified 15 Cross site scripting vulnerabilities along with 3 dynamic code evaluation and one open redirect flaw. This is in a small help file of approx 50 pages!Looking in this forum this seems to be a long running issue with RH over a number of versions. Adobe help suggested upgrade to 2019 free trial version - which i did, but majority of issues remain unresolved. Latest communication from Adobe says they acknowledge the bug and will look to fix on a future release. That really doesn't help when we have products due for launch imminently where i am supplying the help content and our IT team will not allow the files to be used -and also existing help files in live products are now likely to be withdrawn. I am not technically savvy, but these issues seem to be very serious and the continual solution seems to be "Buy the latest version"
I have been asked to log the search terms that users put into search in a RoboHelp HTML project so we can identify what our users are looking for when they use the search function. Has anyone done or have an idea of the best way to do this? We are also implementing google analytics, I'd be interested in any opinions on this - pitfalls, issues etc.
I have Robohelp 2015 and produce output using Responsive HTML5. I'd also like to get detailed page views from google analytics. Has anyone successfully achieved this? At the moment google analytics reports all views as a single page index.htm with a single page title.
We have a merged WebHelp system in RoboHelp 11 with (7) separate Help files. Our developer is asking if we can limit the common files in each system so that they do not have to be duplicated (7) times
Hi,We have a RH 2017 source that uses few variables specially for product names. I noticed that few variable values have gone missing from the list of variables. The variable value that is present in the content in the topic appears as normal text. Not sure why this happened. I don't think anyone has mistakenly deleted the variable values. In future to add back the variables would be a massive task. Is there any way out?
Hello all. We're using RH 2017 (the latest build). We have a large merged help system in a HTML5 responsive output.F1 in English on the one of our dialog boxes gives me this URL initially in my browser's address bar:http://docs.hexagonmi.com/pcdmis/2019.1/en/helpcenter/index.htm?rhcsh=1&rhnewwnd=0&rhmapno=488...which correctly resolves into this and shows the topic:http://docs.hexagonmi.com/pcdmis/2019.1/en/helpcenter/index.htm?rhcsh=1&rhnewwnd=0#t=mergedProjects%2Fcore%2F07_edit_cad_topics%2FSetting_Up_the_Screen_View.htmBut...F1 in our non-English versions of our product on the same dialog box (in this case Italian) gives me this:http://docs.hexagonmi.com/pcdmis/2019.1/it/helpcenter/index.htm?rhcsh=1&rhnewwnd=0&rhmapno=488... but it never resolves to show the topic. It just stays stuck at:http://docs.hexagonmi.com/pcdmis/2019.1/it/helpcenter/index.htm?rhcsh=1&rhnewwnd=0&rhmapno=488Where in the generated output is context mapping controlled so I can verify
I am having issues with corrupted characters appearing in the TOC for Romanian when I create a CHM.These corrupted characters should be displayed as ș and ț, but for now they were displayed as ? in the generated CHM file. All of these characters are fine in hhc file. And when i use these files to created Webhelp file it also works. These corrupted characters only appear in the TOC of chm file, the ș and ț characters can be displayed correctly in the body of the article. What is the cause of this? Thanks.
When Generating a PDF file in Adobe 2019, shows error message as Failed to combine files into PDF.
Can anyone provide step-by-step instructions for configuring TFS 2018 in Robohelp?@ !TFS configurations are not discussed in the following video: Collaboration and Source control - Adobe RoboHelp (2019 release) - YouTube
