I have a RH 11 project that uses conditional tags to generate customized content for each of our products. Some of the tags are applied at the topic level in the TOC, while others are applied to selected text within topics. When I generate the CHM, conditionalized topics whose tags were excluded don't appear in the TOC. However, if I go to the Search tab and enter a word or phrase that appears only in excluded topics, those topics suddenly show up in the search results! Why does the Search function find excluded topics? Why were they generated at all, if those tags were excluded? At first I thought it was due to the fact that the tag was applied at the topic level. But when I went back and applied conditional tags to the text within these topics as well, I got the same results. Thanks!
I am using Robo Help 2015 and when I generate my output and view it in IE 11, the Search functionality displays no search results and the TOC, Index and glossary do not display. Is there a patch for RH 2015? The RH 11 patch for a similar problem does not work.
Hi Team,I didn't find the Robohelp 10 download link in your site. Please provide the download link details to downlaod the Robohelp 10.
I inherited a RoboHelp project that is linked to FrameMaker source files. I recently upgraded to Tech Comm Suite 2015 but have not yet been able to install the updates. The person who originally set up the project no longer works here, and I've never done a project this way before, so I'm having some trouble figuring this out on my own. I should add that I'm generating WebHelp.I now have to make a new project that is a subset of the original. I created a new .book file in FrameMaker and added only the chapters I need, using conditional tags to mark text within those chapters that applies to one project but not the other. As far as the content goes, everything works fine in RoboHelp. The problem comes with the Table of Contents and Index. Here's what I am doing:1. In FrameMaker, set the condition tag for all the files in the book, then generate the TOC and Index. These are correct---only the entries that are tagged with that condition appear.2. In RoboHelp, create a new project and link
The Reports menu is not displayed under the Tools menu in RoboHelp 11. Does anyone know if there is a setting which turns off the display of this menu please? Thanks for any advice you can offer.
I want to create snippets based on the text that I select in a topic. As I need to create a huge collection of snippets library, I was wondering if there is any feature or ready-made script available that helps me with converting individual table rows as snippets, it would save a lot of time for me in creating snippets. Can anyone please guide me on this?
I am trying to work with the script webhelp to chm converter:a) I want a chm project with a good-looking user interface. My hh.exe- test of the context sensitivity fails.b) I want a webhelp project to be more browser independent. The "webhelp-to-chm-converter" once again is my favorite joker! In both cases the output generation works fine. But I don't have an idea how to check the contextsensitvity. And I don't have an idea what to tell our software engeneer what to do to switch from the old chm (a) or webhelp (b) to the new "webhelp-to-chm"Do you have answers or where to find answers?
I have a project in RH10 that is not visible in IE9. I know that a similar issue exists in IE10 and 11. Does anyone know of this issue happening in IE9? If so, do any solutions exist that can resolve? Currently, my published link only pulls up a blank page, but the Webhelp folder shows the published files on the server
Hi,I'm trying RH11 on a Windows Ultimate system, trying to get the generate for mobile devices, Android to work. I've installed the Android SDK (part of the complete ADT) in a "Development" folder in the C drive, installed JDK for Win 64, added the PhoneGap and ANT unzipped folders to the "Development" folder and then in the RH10 dialog to generate the Android APK Please see the screenshot showing the error message and the relevant part of the log which looks like the ANT path is not working correctly. The build fails every time. I've tried to do some troubleshooting online and for example, came across setting the environment variables for the ANT folder, which I did, but with no success in fixing the problem. My path settings are in a second screenshot below.Thank you for your help.Kind Regards,

I have the setting "Single Click to Open Books" checked on in HTML Adv Settings. This works great. wooo hoo! My QA people are so pleased with this feature that they want single click functionality to open topics in the Index and Search tabs. I can't find any where to enable this. Am I missing a setting? Is there a way to "hack" this?I have RoboHelp 10 and outputting to Microsoft_HTML_Help.Thanks for hot, humid Florida,Shannon
Hi,Installed a trial version of RoboHelp 2015 on Windows 7. I have a SharePoint 2010 using SSL with FBA authentication and ASPNetSql Membership. The server is running and operational and Users are able to login. When I tried to setup "RoboHelp SharePoint Connector" and "Test Connection", I keep getting an error message that says "Remote server returned an error (403) Forbidden". Does RoboHelp support SSL connection? Does the trial version disable this feature? Or, am I missing something here?I googled but could not find an answer.
RoboHelp 11, exporting as Responsive HTML5.When I view the result locally (either from my PC, on via another PC on our network), 'books' in the TOC expand correctly, when clicked upon.In the example below, I've clicked the "Snapshots" book entry in the TOC. Notice that it expands to display its sub-topics.However, when viewed from our Corporate web site (i.e. after publishing the content 'live'), TOC no longer function correctly. Using the same example as above, when clicking/pressing upon the Snapshots TOC entry, the screen flickers slightly, but nothing else happens - the menu does not expand. There's a few of us here at work (including myself) that this was working properly last week. We're now wondering if our Systems Admin have disable a script or something. Any ideas?Note that I've also tried deleting the contents of the live directory, and doing a fresh export from Robohelp, but we get the same result.
I'm using RoboHelp 11 in Win 7 to generate HTML5 output.I'm using Standard Layout 1, and I've put in our product name with a registered trademark system. I'd like the whole title to readOur Product Name® Online HelpI edited the layout to change color and font and add our logo, and I set the title up like this:I've got the ® and it's even superscripted correctly, but then the words "Online Help" don't appear. It looks like this:Can anyone tell me why the remaining words don't appear? Bonus points for anyone who can tell me how to center our logo horizontally . . . . . Thank you.
When I download and install a trial version of Robohelp 2015, the Akamai Download manager goes thro smoothly. However, the installation of the product fails with an "failed to install" error. An advisory is offered as a link but it no longer exists. How do I get the trial version installed on my machine? I am running Windows 7.
Hello,Our team is using RoboHelp HTML v11 to create one project with approximately 8,000 - 12,000 topics. We are not using many images - it is mostly text. Is there a limit on the number of topics one project can have? We would like to avoid splitting the project, if possible. I couldn't find any documentation about size limitations, so that's why I am posting here. We would rather know now than find out too late that there's a limit. Any help you can provide is much appreciated! Thank you!
I know the issue about an HHComponentActivator message appearing when trying to preview a topic has been previously discussed on the forum, but the solution offered only solves half of the problems that I am having.Copying the eHlpDthm.js file from a blank project as suggested resolves the issue with the message appearing, but as one other user indicated in their post, any link in the topic that should display in an auto-sizing popup window does not appear. Copying the file does not resolve this problem for me. I used the View Source option when previewing a topic to look at the html code and noticed that the topic name in the path for the popup is replaced with an another name such as "rlt1F76" instead of "print_option." The name changes each time I preview the topic. Selecting the topic to display in a frame does not have the problem, only auto-sized and custom-sized popups.I am using RoboHelp 10, specifically version 10.0.1.292.Thanks in advance for your help.
People,I am working in a project that has three separate TOCS. Some topics are only included in one of the TOCs, but are showing up in the Search results for Webhelps for the other two.The topics ARE excluded from the TOCs used to generate the webhelps in whose Search results they appear. The topics, and their entire content, are marked using a conditional build tag that is used to exclude them from the webhelps in whose Search results they appear.I have thoroughly investigated to ensure that these topics ARE NOT referenced by hyperlinks in any of the topics that do appear in the webhelps in whose Search results they appear.I have set the Search options to Enable External Content Search = OFF and Exclude Baggage File Types from Search to all be checked. And still these topics - that have nothing to do with the webhelps I am generating except be in the same Robohelp project - are found by the Search.Do any of you know what I am doing wrong? Is this a RoboHelp bug? Thanks in advance,M
We have been testing the Responsive HTML5 layouts in RoboHelp 11 . These can be selected by clicking "Gallery" in the "General" section of the "Responsive HTML5 Settings" dialog. I assume that these layouts can be used commercially, and that they are not just for demonstration purposes. I assume that this is the case, but would like confirmation of this from Adobe please. Thanks very much, Mark
I have a single page PDF which I want to print 2 copies on one side of the page. I have tried various options available with the printer and settings in Adobe reader and Adobe Reader Pro. I found it will print 2 pages on one side, but not a duplicate of the single paged document on one side. I have tried various programs to do this, and the only way I have found it can be done is if it was a 2 page document. We have a lot of single paged documents and want to be able to print 2 to a page to save costs of printing.
Hi I have a project with just textual paragraphs and tables. I am generating Responsive HTML5 output from RH11 and using PhoneGap Build to publish the Android app (.apk) file.I have uncommented the settings.setBuiltInZoomControls(true); line of DefaultActivity.java file in C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe RoboHelp 11\RoboHTML\MultiscreenExt\NativeApps\Android\PhoneGapApp folder as mentioned in the product documentation. But I am not able to pinch and zoom the content on my Android devices. Is there anything else I need to do? Please advise.Sreekanth
We use a CSS file to add character styles in some of our content. This works OK using WebHelp output, but when we output to Responsive HTML5, angle brackets are not displayed. Here is the code in the CSS file:span.KeyName { font-weight: normal; font-variant: small-caps;}span.KeyName:before { content: "<";}span.KeyName:after { content: ">";}This part of the CSS file should just set the relevant content to small caps, and wrap angle brackets around it. When you look at this style in the Styles dialog, it does not display the angle brackets in the preview window, so perhaps this is a clue to what is causing the problem. We are using RoboHelp version 11, but get the same problem with version 2015. Any advice would be appreciated.
I am using RoboHelp 11. I need to import a glossary file. I find the glossary file in my Project Manager, click file>Import> but there is no Glossary in the options. Any ideas?

I have created merged projects in RoboHelp 11. The table of contents and the Start page display OK in Firefox and Chrome, but in Internet Explorer version 11, the table of contents does not display, and the message "Internet Explorer restricted this webpage from running scripts or Active X controls" is shown. Clicking "Allow blocked content" enables the Start page to be displayed, but the table of contents is not shown. If you refresh the page in Internet Explorer, everything is displayed without any problems. Can anyone suggest a fix for this please? Is it possible to refresh the page automatically perhaps? Thanks for any suggestions.
