Hi,when i print documentation, robohelp generates a table of content with two empty lines. I get this strange issue when i print documentation with index or glossary are selected. How can avoid this issue ?Best Regards
I've imported a .bk file in Robohelp and customized my style sheet where I've created a Font Set. However, I have to manually update each paragraph and apply the font set to see the change. I thought RoboHelp will automatically apply the changes to the topic. Am I doing something wrong? Need help.Thanks.
Hi,when i insert the field “chapter name” in a master page, in the printed documentation appears error message instead of my chapter name:Error: To apply heading 1 to the test to be displayed at this point, use the record card homeDoes anybody know why? And how to avoid this error ?Best Regards.
We had an employee who used to work on creating our product's help manual using Robohelp 7. Unfortunately she quit and her laptop was reset, so we lost the Robohelp project. What we have is the final output with all the HTML files. Is there a way to take these HTML files and load them into Robohelp so that we can start adding more topics to our help manual?I have a folder called "WebHelp" and these folders inside. Please let me know if I can take this project and load it into Robohelp 11 that we are planning on upgrading to.
Hi, I want my left TOC frame to appear wider than the default. I am creating my project as WebHelp and don't see where I can make this change. Thanks!
When using linked word files, the html output always creates new styles and does not consider my .CSS file. All html styles use a preceding "WD_" string and all headings are not imported as <h1>..<h9>. Of course I set the "File | Project settings | Import" settings. When I do not link but import the word file, the html output is different.
iPad help output's index page is not showing a .jpg of our company's logo. I looked at output files in the... \!SSL!\Multiscreen_HTML5\ipad folder.I see an index_rh.htm file there which doesn't have the .jpg. There is an index_rh1.htm file there that does. Can I safely delete the index_rh.htm file?
I am using TCS to create a WebHelp project from a FrameMaker book. Ultimately I will convert the WebHelp to a CHM file for integration with an application. Generating a CHM file that way allows me to control the HTML Help window position. From RH I linked to the FM.book file. RH converted the files in the book, but when I generated the WebHelp, it contained just one topic from one file in the book. Thanks in advance for your help!
HiI am publishing FM12 as the responsive output and viewing it in Chrome browser. The indented lists and other text are not indented here. I imported the FM book to RH11 and tested using the same screen layout and ISF file. Here the output looks fine.Is this a known issue? Is there a workaround?Sreekanth
In RoboHelp 11 can you point the External Search at an existing index from another application? i.e. SharePoint or a Content Management/version control tool? The project I'm working on has other supporting doc's that I don't want to have to link to, but instead include them in search. I'll have them listed in an appendix but I don't want the users to have to dig through a ton of doc's to find what they're looking for. I'm hoping I can present this project and if the user searches for a function that isn't listed, that we can pull the information from an existing document. Thanks for your help!Jeff
I do not see an option for URLs to display in Search Results. This is the behavior our users are asking for: If a URL (I've got the link in a topic) would display in the search results, the user could then click on the link to take them to that external site. There is no option to display URLs in search results in the WebHelp or HTML5 publishing options. My users don't want to have to click a link to take them to an html topic and then have to click again on the URL to get to the external site. They want to be able to see the URL in the search results, click and go immediately to the site. I even turned on external site searching but didn't see anything in the results. Perhaps I'm not doing it right. This has never been an issue before on any other project that I've developed. Is there anything I can do to give them what they want?Deb
Gostaria de saber quais as diferenças que a versão 11 do robohelp tem referente ao 10 e quais as vantagens dessa nova versão.
I use RoboHelp 10, when opening the CHM file in Windows 10, I get the message at the top: "This webpage might not be displayed properly. The content of the webpage does not match the type specified by the server." What is the cause and what needs to be done?Message was edited by: Rick Stone - Clarified thread title
How flexible is robohelp with design? Most of the sites I came accross look pretty much the same. Does anyone know of a help site that has some creativity in it?
Adobe Customer Support tells me that RoboHelp version 9 is no longer updated and that I need to ask on this forum if there is any solution to the problems of Cross-Site Scripting vulnerabilities (discovered by the IT group's scanning our web app that includes the WebHelp generated by RoboHelp). There are problems with these two JavaScript files: whphost.js and whutils.js. If there are not any updates to the product, does anyone have a recommendation for handling these vulnerabilities? Does anyone know of any work-arounds?
Hello everyone. What I have:RoboHelp 10.A highly-customized Multi-Screen HTML5 layout/profile.Several thousand HTML topics with basic markup (full of topic content like headings, text, and images) divided across hundreds of windows folders in a hierarchy. What I want to do:Import all of these topics into my project without manually adding all the folders and importing files folder-by-folder.Do this again in the future, since new folders and topics are added frequently, and we do not work in Robohelp (we create the files in a text editor because we don't like Robohelp's text editor or what it does to the code in the source files).I've tested importing about a dozen topics in different folders to make sure everything works and I'm quite pleased with the result. As far as I understand, Robohelp is not aware of the folders/files in your project folder, and does not have a feature to batch import. Adding new files manually for every version just isn't an option. Is there any way to do what I w
I am using Robohelp 9 and recently had a system crash and loss the structure of my project. Thankfully all the files were still in the original folder structure so I was able to rebuild by importing the original topics. The only thing that didn't import over was all my PDF documents. I tried deleting the original folder in the Project Mgr, adding a new folder and importing the PDF documents but they don't appear any where in the project manager. The system allows me to import the documents and I see a little status bar of the documents importing into Robohelp but where do they go?When I compile and genearte output the system does not create a folder with the documents in the final output directory and ofcourse the original links to the documents are now broken.any help would be apprecaited.
The only training types I see for RoboHelp (any version) are classroom and "live classroom," which are taken during work hours.Has anyone seen a training class that can be taken at your own pace, and at your own schedule?
Hi,This morning I compiled WebHelp and opened it in FireFox (FF) 35. The left pane with the TOC panel is blank. Index and search are blank, too. This appears to be an issue with FF 35. Help will open in FF 34 without any issues. Help also opens in IE and Chrome without problems. I tested this on multiple machines and both versions of FF. None of my RH or FF settings were changed. The only difference was the FF auto update yesterday. Does anyone have any idea how this can be fixed? Thanks,Tammy
Hi all. I want to add a text pop up when the user clicks on a certain part of an image, but I can only add one on the entire image. How do I do this please?
When I delete a token how can I find out later in the code, that I already deleted it - before I save! There exists a Token.delete() function but e.g. no Token.isDeleted().
Hi,I am running RH 11 (installed in Program Files x86) on a Win 7 (64 bit) machine. I have just created a brand new project with a lot of folders/subfolders and only one Welcome topic. This project compiles just fine using the RoboHelp GUI. However, when I run RHCL from the command prompt, it refuses to run. Here are the details of the command and results:from c:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe RoboHelp 11\RoboHTMLc:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe RoboHelp 11\RoboHTML>rhcl "c:\knowledgecenter\knowledgecenter.xpj" -l "WebHelp"Adobe (R) RoboHelp Project Command Line Compiler version 11.0.4.291Copyright (C) 2006-2007, Adobe Systems Incorporated and its licensors. First of all, thanks to everyone who offered suggestions to help with my bullet-spacing problem; I think I've got it solved. However, when I view said bulleted items using the View Selected Item button, the bulleted items appear far more indented than they are in the compiled version. The compiled version actually resembles what I see in the workspace. For what it's worth, here's the HTML: <p class="WD_BodyText">There is some text here:</p> <ul style="list-style: square;"> <ul style="list-style: square;"> <li><p class="WD_Normal" style="margin-left: 5px; margin-top: 0px; &nb
RH 11 WebhelpThank youProblemI installed custom fonts and they mostly work. One topic didn't display correctly, so I tried to tweak the new font code using the RH css editor and then the HTML Editor. However, these attempts overwrote the notepad.exe css, such as removing font names. It seems like using notepad.exe is the only way to add additional code to the css (shown in step 5). How can I straighten things out? Here are the steps leading up to the problem1. Downloaded and extracted the google fonts.2. Double-clicked each font separately and installed it to the computer.3. Added each font family as a baggage file.4. Using notepad.exe, edited the css fonts.5. Added this code to notepad.exe css to fix a Chrome bug that prevented displaying the new fonts:@-webkit-keyframes fontfix { from: "{" "opacity:" 1;};body { font-family: Roboto; font-size: 11px; color: #000000; margin: 10px 16px auto;}body { -webkit-animation-delay: 0.1s; -webkit-anim
I have a merged Responsive HTML5 WebHelp project in RoboHelp 11, which I've published to SharePoint. I am seeing some confusing behavior when using the search functionality within the WebHelp. In particular:With Chrome.......If I enter a single word without quotation marks in the search window, I get a page of results. If I open any one of those results, the term that I searched for is highlighted. This is how I would expect the search functionality to work.If I enter a two-word phrase within quotation marks, I get a page of results, but the search term is not highlighted when I open one of the results. With IE11 (which I think is a lost cause for other reasons!)......I get the right number of search results, but the search term is not highlighted regardless of whether or not I use quotation marks. This pretty much renders the search functionality useless.Any advice?
