We are a group of 3-6 people who would very much like to participate in a Course for RoboHelp - in Denmark. Or pay for an individual course - just for our group. Anyone who knows somebody?? Or where to turn to?+
We have several chm files that were written for in house applications and we want to update the content and re-publish in HTML. There used to be tools in older versions of RoboHelp (HTML Studio I believe) but that seems to have been removed. Can anyone point me in the right direction on getting the chm files converted?
We have RH 2020.8.34 and have upgraded from 2019 Classic to a number of issues that we have yet to find solutions for. This specific matter is some unknown setting that is changing the layout of the CHM viewer main window so that it's no longer recessed as it was previously.[These are 2 .CHMs opened in MS help and overlayed on each other: RH202 back RH2019 fwd]In the images shown here the main window of the help viewer is proud of the parent dialog in a CHM created in RH 2020, but recessed (as desired) when created from RH 2019 Classic. I have gone through both the "Window Settings" and "Output Presets" for this CHM and no combination of check boxes I have selected has resolved this. I even created a New Project from scratch in RH 2020 to make sure it's not some unknown CSS or HTM formatting that is causing the main html window to display this way. The same layout issue appears at the bottom of the main window also as seen in the second window.
This seems related to RH-11277 but not the same. On every page the Title is displayed when I preview the page. When I build the output the file name is shown on every page. The file name is without the .htm which is odd. See image below.I have taken the following steps:Checked all files in Contents folder for invalid file names and corrected some. Mostly images with spaces in the name. One topic file name had a special character. ( I was hoping that was the issue but fixing it changed nothing)Opened properties of all topic pages and verified title is set correctly and clicked Apply.Cleaned up and reviewed everything I can think of.Reapplied the Title field to the Topic Layout header. While doing clean up Rh corrupted my CSS file by trying to make it a topic page and adding XML and converting special characters to esc sequences. I only add this info in case it is revealing of some other issue.(The upper case is due to CSS transform.)Thanks for your thoughts on this frustrating
I'm using RoboHelp 2020 and publishing to Zendesk. I was successful in getting the projects into Zendesk, but I'm having trouble with revisions not showing. RoboHelp says everything published, but Zendesk articles only show some updates in any given article. If I have an article with two or more revisions, only one or two will show, not all of them. I've tried different browsers, refreshing, clearing cache, and waiting overnight. My guess is there is an issue with the way RoboHelp interacts with the Zendesk API, but can't get any help from Zendesk. Any ideas?
Hello,I have an existing project. I right clicked under a document section and selected - add topic. The new page populated and I entered my information. I completed a file output and now I cannot see those new topics in the Table of Contents. If I search I can see my content but what is preventing it from showing in the Table of Contents? - Thank you
Has anyone used RoboHelp with AEM for single sourcing information? Looking at options for using AEM not for marketing but for customer documentation, but it can't be public... Customers would have to log into our network or we only use it internally to then create documents. Most of what I've seen seems like public access and marketing-related. I know you can publish from RH to AEM or soemthing along those lines but can you pull from AEM into RH? How can AEM help you share content across platforms and generate help files and documents? I'm looking at the Adobe Summit coming up but not sure I can get approval to go. As usual, I have more questions than answers. Thanks!
Robohelp 8 generated a .htm file name is wf_njs.htm Robohelp 2012 generates a .htm file name TAG_Help_6.03 When I promoted my generated Robohelp 2019 project to our DSL, our Application did not load the General Help which is TAG_Help_6.03, Our applicaiotn was looking for a file named TAG_HELP.htm So I made a copy of TAG_Help_6.03 for this to work, I took a copy of TAG_Help_6.03.htm and named it TAG_HELP.htm and it works on our Application. The previous Robohelp 8 generated a .htm file named wf_njs.htm. When I converted Robohelp 8 to Robohelp 2019, the wf_njs.htm file no longer worked. Was Robohelp 2019 designed like this? Please advise. thanks Sharon Restoule
Hello everyone, I've checked in the community and couldn't fined the issue I'm experiencing. I've been using reviews for more than a year and didn't have any problem whatsoever: the SMEs could comment using the highlight feature or the "pin" feature and I could work on those comment in RoboHelp (my current version is Version 2020.8.34). Now 2023 comes and today I sent out the very first review of the new year, but my SMEs now tell me all commenting tools are disabled (see attached pic). The comment box works, but I can't really associate a comment with the corresponding text in my topic, this is not very useful... The SMEs are all logged in their correct adobe account (as I am) and the Creative Cloud Desktop app is up to date, with no issue notified.I really don't know that to do... is it a bug?Thank you all!
Has anyone found a way to "embed" the font into HTML 5 output files? I have set it in my styles (and css style sheet), but on most machines I have to actually download and install the font that we're using (Montserrat) in Windows for it to display properly. This is boggling my mind, because the same machines can properly display our company website, which is also asking for Montserrat.
(This question is really about SharePoint, but as I am attempting to use SharePoint because RoboHelp says I can, maybe one of you knows the answer.)I want to publish my HTML 5 content to a SharePoint site and distribute it to specific people outside of our organization.I cannot seem to be able to share a direct link to my index page (the first page of my content) without having to show all of the contents of that folder. Has anyone found a way around or a solution to sharing a direct "link" that will open the full RoboHelp created HTML 5 "website."
Hi, where can we find the Robohelp 2017 installer? My PC was broken, but I can't find the installer to install Robohelp 2017 in my new PC., thank you!
After upgrading RH to 2022.0.346 from 2017, search is not working in our online help in our browser-based management app. Search works in the output English Web Help locally (on my PC) but not when the output files are part of our context-sensitive online help system in our management console. This worked properly with the output from RH 2017. We get this error in the dev console when we enter a search term in the Search box:"return a.onkeyup=function(a){if(!f||f===a.keyCode)return e.call(c,a,a.currentTarget)}}},{key:"data_scroll",value:function(a,b){var c=this,d=this._data_event_callback(b),e=d.opts,f=e&&e.delta||..."in rh.min.jsWe open the help in a new browser window. If we refresh the window, the search results show up. I added a screenshot of the error. I tried removing the .gz files as noted elsewhere--made the problem worse. Now refreshing the window does not show the returned results. Help.
I created a new RH project and it created a default TOC. Then I created a new TOC and I can't delete the default one and that's the one that keeps displaying. Any ideas? Thanks.DC
Trying to use the "search and replace" function.... It appears to "find" terms.... but whenever I click the "replace" function, I have been getting this error. It has never worked. After I dismiss the above error, it appears to be "replacing".... But it shows this message endlessly and never replaces anything.Does "search and replace" work for anyone else?
Good morning everyone,I have a RH 2020.7.46 and I am writing to ask you if it is possible to view the RH output generated with HTML5 preset perhaps through a button that refers to a dedicated url.I'm asking because we need to view the layout built ad hoc with RH preset within one of our portals via a button that refers to a specific link. Could you help me?Thanks in advanced!
I am using RoboHelp 2019 and have placed a custom link in my layout. I'd like the page this link acceses to display in the same browser tab. Seems like a simple request but haven't been able to find any RH settings to enable this. Would appreciate any recommendations.
With recent update (RH 2022.0.346), I've noticed search results not only highlights the term in yellow -- but annoyingly underlines the entire paragraph that the search term is in.Anyone else experience this? I assume this is a bug that needs to be fixed. Thanks for any guidance.
I am using Frameless studio skin(Robo help version 2020).when I navigate from main page to topic page, the corresponding html file is not getting selected in the left navigation pane in topic page. Thanks
Hi all, if someone has an answer to this I would be eternally grateful. I am building a framless project in RH2020, and after generating and publishing, I try and open a topic from the TOC in a new tab in Chrome, but when I do only the topic information appears, not the left sidebar TOC, or the header. Then if I click reload, the page reloads as normal. This is not an optimal user experience. I think it is some setting I have missed, because I know it can work, as demonstrated on Peter's website. Please help!
Hello everyone. I am trying to export my projects from a 'master' project which is linked with 'children projects'. I wrote the instructions in a *.bat file and specified a environment variable (path of robohelp)Here is an example of my first line of code:"C:\Program Files\Adobe\RoboHelp 2020\RoboHelp.exe" --cl "D:\OLH\05_Tests_RH_2020\input\Master_project.rhpj" -o "FORCE" -p "D:\OLH\05_Tests_RH_2020\compilations\command_line" -l D:\OLH\05_Tests_RH_2020\log_tests_compilations\master.htmlThe other lines allow to compile the child projects. The result is correct and everything seems to work well (either the files are correctly exported).I still get error messages that look like this:(node:23060) [DEP0005] DeprecationWarning: Buffer() is deprecated due to security and usability issues. Please use the Buffer.alloc(), Buffer.allocUnsafe(), or Buffer.from() methods instead.I don't really understand why because i thought this problems where solved with the build version i have.So I tried
Our software knowledge base is hosted on Robohelp using a Frameless skin. Most search results display just fine with the article title and a short snippet below each title. One particular search term gives a number of results, one of which has 41 lines below the article title instead of a snippet:https://knowledgebase.pronamics.com.au/?key=toc12&ref=.%2F&rhsearch=schedule%20formula Is there some way of restricting the snippet to one line or similar?
Tables - Adobe RoboHelp comes with a number of pre-formatted tables that can be edited to suit your own requirements or you can create your own from scratch.I'm using RoboHelp 2022 and I don't see any pre-formatted tables. If I Insert Table from the toolbar, I just get to select the number of rows/columns and a simple plain table is inserted. If I select a table and right-click, I don't see Table Properties. I do see Content Properties. I created a custom Table Style but I'm having trouble with the look. I already add a TableHeader style. We are also going to import Markdown files - some have tables - so I want the <table> to have the custom table style. I noticed the .htm topics from imported .md files have a <thead> and my old tables have just <tbody> and rows the color/padding in the rows that are the heading. I don't want to edit all my old tables either. Suggestions?
We're currently using RH 2022.0.346 on Win10 and Win11 machines. We recently upgraded from RH 2020. In an atypical situation, we ended up with HTML5 output generated from the 2020 and 2022 versions (some last-minute changes after we'd upgraded). Using the Search field in the HTML5 output from RH 2022 does not return any results. The Search works just fine from the output generated from RH 2020. We just published this morning and customers are already reporting the issue. It would be great to resolve this quickly.
