Hi. I'm using RH 2020.8.34 on Win10. I've just published our output for the first time since upgrading and I'm now getting two output generation warnings:Skipped copying external file "C:/1RoboHelp/OutputPaths/publish/browsesequence/InformaCast_Fusion.brs"Error occurred while parsing inline style :1:1: Unknown word: "Bullet" For the first issue, the file path RH is citing does not exist. I did a search for "InformaCast_Fusion.brs" in both Contents and Find and Replace (with Source View on) and I got no results. I do have a browse sequence named InformaCast_Fusion.brs, but I've not done anything substantial with it lately. It is included in the project I'm generating and it seems to have published just fine. I read the responses to this earlier discussion, but the fixes don't seem to apply to me. I'm not using hyperlinks or images in my variables and this is not a child project. I'm just not sure why I'm getting this warning. For the second issue, I do have a charact
We generate the CHM on a montly basis and found that up to October, images were able to seen seen correctly in the generated CHM.However, all images cannot be seen in the November generation. These include images in topics that were not updated at all.Is there any reason for this to occur?
Steps provided in the Help File seems to be for Robohelp 2019, not the Classic version. In the Classic version, I am able to go to Collaborate > Add to Version Control, but I do not know what other steps are needed.I see RoboHelp SharePoint Connector but am not able to find additional information online. Results seem to lead back to Robohelp 2019.
We are exploring moving to version 2019 from 2019 Classic but found the following issues:1. Unable to sort by Topic column - clicking on the header seems to sort half the list. I see it goes from A, B, C... then further down, A, B, C... again.2. Loading of the list - takes awhile to load the list and it is hard to see the full list as you have to continuously scroll to the end and get more items loaded. Changing the filters also means the list gets 're-loaded' so need to scroll down again.3. There is no search feature - It is not easy to locate topics when the sorting does not work properly and there is no way to search. Do you guys encounter the same as well?
In RoboHelp 2020, I was able to click "Autonumber" in the Heading Style and then I could edit each LEVEL as shown in this image (taken from https://helpx.adobe.com/robohelp/using/css-autonumbering-robohelp.html) Now, in RH2022, that "Level" option is missing! Was this a mistake on Adobe's part? Or am I missing something? This was an easy way to format a multi-level document, so I hope this gets fixed soon.
I'm a complete novice when it comes to RoboHelp 2022, because boy howdy has it changed from when I used to work with this back in the early 2000s. Anyway, I was editing an existing project in one subfolder which contained all of my topic files and the output !SSL! folder was in another subfolder that contained all of the html docs. Now here's where it gets weird. I generate the output file, and when you open the compiled html file, everything looks grand. All changes are made and show up great - BUT, when I open the individual html files in this same subfolder, nothing has changed, it's still the old content. So what's the story with that? How is it that the compiled file is fine, when the individual pages are the old content? Maybe I'm just not understanding what's going on and how those individual html are being generated, but I just want to make sure those files are correct, just in case.
RoboHelp version used: 2020.3.32 We followed the Adobe instructions to create a GIT key. We tested it and it works. When we attempt to complete the Connections Profiles screen and put in the link to the SSH Private Key we get the SSH Error:"SSH Key could not be added to the ssh-agent. Make sure that ssh-agent is running and the key is valid."ssh-agent is running and key is valid. We tried what was suggested here:RoboHelp 2019 and GIT - SSH Key could not be added to the ssh-agent We also tried this solution:Is there a workaround to make Robohelp 2019 work with Windows 10 ssh-agent?But we still get the same error. Can anyone help us?Thanks.
As indicated above. I have seen several earlier posts on this, but all seemed to be solved by updating to the latest version of Edge (which I do have installed/am running). Again, this is hosted on SharePoint - so .aspx files. Topic content displays briefly on load (for about a second) and then disappears. Thoughts? RH Version is latest - Version 2022.0.346Edge Version is latest - Microsoft Edge Version 107.0.1418.62 (Official build) (64-bit)
Hi. I'm using RH 2020.8.34 on Win10. I've created a topic where I'd like a table icon to display a table of information from a different topic when clicked. I've gotten it working by using an image with a custom-sized popup hyperlink. The code looks like this: <a data-height="225" data-rhwidget="HyperlinkPopover" data-width="600" href="../../../Extracts/SIP_Identity_Information_By_Telephony_Provider.htm#SIPIDUser" title="SIP Identity Information by Telephony Provider"><img alt="SIP Identity User Table" src="../../../../assets/images/FUSTableIcon.png" title="SIP Identity User Table" /></a>In practice though, the page jumps down when the Table icon is clicked and it sometimes causes you to have to scroll to see all the information in the table (which seems to happen if the Table icon is near the end of a line). What it looks like to start (the last step has the Table icon):What it looks like after clicking the icon: Notice how the page has jump
Hello, I emailed adobe support over a week ago and they have not responded so I thought I would try here. Have any mac users been able to run RH2020 update 6 or later on the new Ventura? The system requirements topic has never really been updated for mac - states mojave or later but it wasn't updated when big sur came out either. I remember they eventually had to release a new version (update 3) that provided support for big sur. I am trying to avoid being dead in the water and have to revert my mac if its not supported.
My technical issue: I have a large eBook manuscript of helping materials and exercises, built over the years in several versions of RH, now in the latest version. Over 300 pages, it has gotten a little “messy” in that when exported to latest (2021) Microsoft Word as a docx file, it looks fine but internally Word when opening the docx document displays: "This document contains fields that may refer to other files. Do you want to update the fields in this document?" Choosing "yes" or "no" doesn't seem to matter: same problematic result. I can see inside the Word document that this may refer to a new chapter that I added a while ago in the RH source, now part of the published Word export. In this chapter there is a small side arrow: if clicked, it opens additional chapters which appears then to be linked to this position in the Word document. These are in the right place if opened, but this arrow makes these a choice. I am not sure why this is happening but need some help to re
Hi professionals,As Confluence is getting more and more important, I am trying to get my RoboHelp output to Confluence. The reason behind is, that JIRA servicedesk is using Confluence space as a knowledgebase for client tickets. For many knowledgbases (e.g. ZenDesk, ServiceNow,...) there is an export interface in RoboHelp. But not for Confluence. Does anyone has an idea whether Adobe is already working on this function for Confluence Export or does anyone has as useful way to get the RoboHelp content to Confluence? Thanks
Generated my help system, and the restart numbering feature/code does not seem to work in Edge (v93.0.961.52 - official build - 64-bit). Works fine in Chrome, which does not help me as Edge is our company default browser. Not sure if Edge is set to operate in IE compatibility mode (I turned it off, but it did not seem to make a difference). Screenshot below from same output.
Using RoboHelp2017, version 13.0.0257; version control via SharePoint A new colleague, who has downloaded our project's files from version control, attempted to generate a new layout, but the skin in the Manage Layout area was empty. I clicked on Gallery and found the skin we use and clicked it, but it said there was a skin with that name already. How can we get RoboHelp to accept the skin that the rest of the team is using?
Has anyone come across similar issue in RoboHelp? Please help. Breadcrumbs and Links open in new tabs at random instances when output is hosted on the web server. On inspecting, it shows that target="_blank" has been appended though it was not a part of the original output. Original code:<a class="breadcrumbs-link" style="text-decoration: none; color: inherit" href="../Home_Page/Help_Center.htm">Help Center</a> Code after target="_blank” getting appended:<a class="breadcrumbs-link" style="text-decoration: none; color: inherit" href="../Home_Page/Help_Center.htm" target="_blank">Help Center</a>
If I want to send a newly created (latest version of RH) rhpj project to someone for review and editing who only has a version of RH that can open hpj files/projects, is there any way to downsave an rhpj project to an hpj project? I realize that features may be unavailable, but the basics maybe would be available and possibly editable. If not possible to downsave, then Word or PDF output will be an alternative.Any suggestions appreciated. Thank you in advance.Best Wishes,
Hi, I am having issues with inserting a new child CHM file and updating child CHM files. I follow the directions in https://helpx.adobe.com/robohelp/using/table-of-contents.html "Insert Child HTML Help (.chm) File" section to insert a new CHM file into the TOC of the parent project. The CHM appears in the TOC with a "Missing TOC Link" error. I think I found a workaround. I copied the CHM into ...\contents\assets\chm and the .ALI file into ...\publish\mapfiles of the parent project before inserting the the Child HTML help. I shouldn't have to do that, right? Also, after updating one of the child CHM projects and generating the CHM, the CHM and .ali files do not get updated in the \chm and \mapfiles folders of the parent project. The workaround, similar to what I did before, is delete the TOC entry for the child, copy the updated child CHM and .ali files into the parent project, and then re-insert the child into the parent TOC. Is t

There's a bug that has been reported to Adobe. They have been able to reproduce the issue and have told me that it will be addressed in Update 1. Create a new topic.Right-click the topic and choose Properties.Change the title and filename. Instead of the topic being renamed or retitled, you'll likely end up with two files (one with the new name and one with the original name undefined). I created a topic named Yee_Hah. I then used the Properties dialog box to change both the Title and File Name to Renamed. In the image below, notice how both Renamed and Yee Hah appear in the Contents list. And when I open the original topic (Yee Hah), the only content is the word "undefined." The stray topic goes away if you exit and restart RoboHelp. That'll have to be the workaround until update 1.
RH 2022.0.346 When I use a MiniTOC in a topic that is configured to display H2 through H4 headings (default setting), only the H2 headings have links associated with them. Bug, feature, or configuration error?
Using RoboHelp 2020.8.34 I am using conditional tags for my builds. They work good at the topic level and when I highlight an entire paragraph. I did notice for bullet lists, I need to manually move the "data-condition=" to the <li> tag. At the paragraph level, the lists do not display correct. When I add conditional build tags to text within a sentence, it bolds the text. I cannot determine why the text is being bold. Any suggestions for the bullet list (so I do not need to edit the code directly) and applying the conditional tag to text in a paragraph? Thank you. Shawn
Hi, I would like to have support or link to documentation that would help me to divide the output pages in different sections or frames, like: TOC and index on the left, in the center the content, and on the right another scrollable section including useful links, news, etc. In fact how to set up the different frames of a page? Thank you very much
Hi everyone, In Robohelp 2020, the Favorites and Add to Favorites buttons are only available in the HTML5 "Indigo" skin. I wonder if it's possible to "borrow" this functionality from the Indigo skin and implant it in a different skin? I guess there is some Javascript code behind the Favorites buttons but I don't see how to extract it. Any ideas? Thanks!
1. We have two help files.2. After upgrading from 2019 to 2022, the files got organized as shown below.3. Later I added one more folder "Setup" which is help file 2. (in the 2019 version too, this setup file was inside the help folder only.)4. Now, I am working on help.rhpj. I want o add a hyperlink to a topic that is in the "Setup" folder.5. Earlier in the 2019 version it was easy. I used the hyperlink option and gave the following and it was working fine. 6. Now in the 2022 version, I used "Local file" option and added the link, and linked it . While linking, it showed me the correct topic as well (attached is the screenshot). The link is missing, every time when I click Edit hyperlink option to verify. HTML is correctly showing the link 7. Please let me know if there is any solution. Let me know if my approch is incorrect.
Greetings, Adobe RoboHelp version: 2020.4.173 We've recently moved from Adobe RoboHelp Classic 2019 to 2020. I'm still figuring out the new layout of the tool. I happened to generate a .chm and all is working fine except the "Search" function in the .chm. I key in any word and I don't get any results "No topics found". Could anyone please give me some pointers. Thanks!
