Search function does not work in chm output file. Can this be fixed?

Hi everyone, hope you all are doing ok. I need to export topics from RoboHelp (2020, last version) to a format that would allow me to repurpose the content on another platform. After some searching online and in this forum, I decided to use the "Content Only" output, which I thought would export my topics in XML format. Then I configured the output as explained in the Robohelp manual and I exported my topics. The results is that RH has generated only a few xml files that contain basically a list of resources, but my topics are stil exported in HTM format... Am I missing something? I need all my topics exported in XML format (or in some other standard formats that can be imported in another system, such as JSON, XLSX, and so on). Thank you all!

Is there any way to find out text properties like font and size? or any option for a format painter in RoboHelp 2022?

Hi, I have two folders - one contains source file and another one is a output folder that contains responsive html and chm.I have chm reference in one of the topics. (The idea is, the end user can download the chm file from the responsive html topic.)I want to add a hyperlink. Please let me know the steps.As of now..this is what I have done.1. Sourcefile - Select the chm file name example abc.chm2. Click on Hyperlinks > Local files. Add file:/// abc.chm. click Link.Is this correct?             

Hello communityIn my RH project I am using a css where I defined the styles that should be applied to all the pages, but after generating the output I check that not all of them are being applied. These are the steps I followed:I built a css file that I added to the assets/css folder of my project.I added the needed images to the assest/images folder of my project.I setup the master page of my project to use this css file.I generated the documentation using Frameless output preset.I found that some styles, such as font or font size were applied, but others like h1 title were not.What can I check? Is there any test I can do to find where the error is in the css? Thanks in advance

How to change the topic layout. The whole help file uses another layout but somehow one topic has a different layout selected. How to change the layout? I did check the content properties but I am unable to find the option to select another layout

Hi all, I am a very new Robohelp user. I am trying to upload a 28 page word file with ~ 27 bookmark links in it but I keep getting "Document Read Error" message. I have tried uploading a document with just one bookmark link and that worked fine so am wondering if there is a limit on the number of links?

Hi allI am applying condition tags in my project at topic level (not section level) and when I generate the output using Frameless preset, I can filter the content using these tags. This way, only the topics with the selected tag are displayed in the table of content.However, as I defined a browse sequence, when I move among the topics using the previous and next buttons, the topics that do not have the condition tag selected are displayed.In summary, topics that do not have the selected tag are not displayed in the TOC but I can access them using the browse sequence.Is there any way that I can only navigate among the topics that have the selected tag?Thanks in advance

I'm using a copy of the Studio Skin (Layout) and am trying to learn how to customize all the components on the page. I've got colors, Header Links and logo done. We're not using the "tiles" (with Home Page); only the Topic Page. I'm a little unclear on the Topic Page Buttons. In the frameless Layout, I see: Expand/Collapse All, Saved, Filter, Select Bookmark, Download PDF, and Search.- The Skin Preview shows: Expand/Collapse All, Favorites, and Filter.- My output shows: Expand/Collapse All, Favorites, and Select Bookmark. If the Expand/Collapse All only applies to expanding text in a topic, and we don't use those, what's the best way to remove it? I saw some issues in post 'Frameless skin - Topic page buttons' and I want to be sure before I mess things up before an upcoming software release. How can I see or see/learn more about the Filter and other items? Do I need to select the [Layout | General] GDPR Compliance button? Is that necessary only if using Favorites an

On one page I have the following drop-down headers:If I search "animation end", words from which are found in a few of the drop-down sections, the user sees this once they click on the search result:This happens with the Responsive HTML5 output that is hosted on a server.Without the server, it works properly, showing all the drop-down headers:Why is this happening? How can this be investigated/fixed?Thanks    

I am unable to apply a style to the hyperlinked text. I removed the hyperlink and then tried. That is oo not working. 

1. What is the best way to maintain documentation for multiple versions of products?2. How can we make corresponding versions of the doc accessible to the user from the output?Preferably by adding a dropdown listing all versions in the Top Nav (Header Links in the Frameless Skin). OR something like we see here.

How to display the search result alphabetically in Robohelp responsive HTML5 output. I use Robohelp 2019 and the search result is not shown alphabetically.PFA screenshot - I searched for Add Asset. The search result is showing the first topic starting with the letter "i" and then "A",  "W", and "G".  

Hi, Please could anyone let me know why responsive HTML output is displaying the TOC twice.. 

I'm using RoboHelp 2020 and some of the links in the TOC are doing strange things.  For example, I'm viewing Page A and select Page B in the TOC.  Page B correctly displays, but the TOC jumps to Page C, which is in a different section, and the breadcrumbs also show the path to Page C.  It's like something has gotten crosswired, but I haven't been able to figure out where the problem lies.  Any suggestions?

The icon for some of my folders for this project look like "topics" with no toggle arrow to the left.Yet, in RH 2020, I was able to click the blank area (where the toggle arrow would be) to open the folder.Now in RH 2022, that no longer works.  The folders can't be opened.Anyone else have this problem? and find a solution?(I will probably re-create each folder and move the topics into the new folders -- unless someone has an easier way.)   

In the extremely unlikely event that there is a scripting person on the forums, can anyone tell me how to use PROJECT_VARIABLE_RENAME? What's the syntax? Do I use it with setValue() or something else?   I've read the scripting "guide" in the RH2019 help which is utterly inadequate for my needs. I've tried multiple combinations of of parentheses and curly brackets and with and without value labels and commas - my imagination has now run out of options in this regard. I've looked at every sample script provided with RH2019 and RH2020. I've contact TCS support who have advise they can't help with scripting.    My next step will be randomly posting on other Adobe forums in the hope that someone there can help...

How to get/enable HTML Source code view in Robohelp 2020?? There was HTML option next to Design in Robohelp 2019 . I am unable to find this in Robohelp 2020. Please help. 

Hello,I am wondering if I am missing something here.  I am testing out RH2022 for mac.  I converted a copy of a project I have from RH2020.  In my print TOCs, I have a legal warning located under my front matter.  In RH2020, I could select a master page for front matter content which applied my master page to the legal warning with no issues.  With 2022, I do not see that option for front matter content in the new Template option under the Output tab.  Under Templates - <my template> - Settings, I see the new location to specifiy layouts for different sections of the doc - but no front matter entry.  Even with my main layout/master page selected as the default, any topics in front matter, other than the cover and toc, print to PDF without a layout.  I have tried setting the layout/masterpage at the topic level itself with no success.  I also tried creating a new toc in RH2022 as well as a new project (to rule out some weird m

Hi!I've got about 300 pdf files, each of about 500 pagesI want to create something like html help from these pdf files.I added some pdf files, as topics. So it looks good. I can navigate in left panel and look for my pdf, that opens in new window.I don't need to use search inside these pdf's, but i want to manually create search keywords. So when i enter my keyword, i wooul like to see pdf file in search results. I can add search keyword to html topic. But how to add seach keyword to pdf file (that is in TOC)? Regards,Anatoly   

Hi, I am using Robohelp 2019 version 14.0.1.015. Could you please let me know how to upgrade it to the latest version? Also, please let me know the latest version details. The last time I tried downloading the latest updates, I struggled to install AdobeRobohelp 2019 again. every time on running the setup,  I was getting a message stating that "your browser or OS is no longer supported and that I need to install the latest updates". Our organization is just switching over from Robohelp 7 to Robohelp 9.  We noticed that search results are sorted by rank, which is not ideal for our environment.  I have checked through the entire Help file and cannot find mention of how to change search result order (we are using WebHelp Pro) in our Knowledge Base.  Web searches have come up empty, as well.Is there a way to sort search results alphabetically still?
