I need to transfer idx to another project. Using latest version of RH 2020.
RoboHelp 2020.7 WindowFrameless output with Orange skin/template. Received a request to add pagination to the top of search results. Orange skin/template only provides pagination at the bottom of search results. Looking to have pagination for both top and bottom of search results so end users don't have to scroll all the way back up or down, regardless of their current position on the page. Here are the pagination elements for the home page and topic page: Is this possible?
Running RoboHelp 2020.7 Windows. Generating Frameless Output, with Orange template/skin. Our UX team would like the home page search results display format to mirror the topic page search results. By default, when running a search from the HOME page, search results are displayed in a FIXED BLOCK (for as long as you're on the home page) that is inserted above the home page content. For example: Meanwhile, when running a search from a TOPIC page, search results are displayed in a DROP-DOWN from the search field/box. For example: For consistency/uniformity purposes, our UX team would like the display of search results for searches that are initiated from the HOME page to mirror the default search results display for searches that are intiated from a TOPIC page. Or to put it another way, they'd like searches initiated from the HOME page to display results in a drop-down from the search field. I tried setting the Search Results > Container settin
Running RoboHelp 2020.7 (Windows). (Evaluating/QA'ing the RoboHelp 2022 update)Generarating Frameless output.I'd like to create a section in a topic very similar to this example from Nike.com, whereby each link in each of the six sections is a drop-down that contains an answer to the question: Initially, I thought I might be able to create each of the 6 sections by creating 6 different microcontents (sort of like mini-FAQs). So using the image example above, I'd create a DISPATCH & DELIVERY microcontent with the corresponding intents and responses, and then a RETURNS microcontent with its intents/responses, etc., and then insert each of them in the topic (don't worry about the grid formatting - I can handle that aspect). I poked around and tried a few different things, but couldn't get this to work. I realize there are other ways to design/deliver this content, but microcontent (if it worked) seemed like it'd be the slickest/most efficient way because we expec
We recently updated our RoboHelp software to the latest patch 2020.8.34. Since applying the patch when I generate the project, it is creating an additional file (csh-redirect.htm) that wasn't present prior to the patch update. We believe this file is causing us to not be able to view the contents in the publish. How do we prevent this file from generating? We may be wrong about what is causing it, so is anyone else having any issues? These are the current setting in my project. The correct file (index.htm) is still there and the Start Page for the output is still set to that.
In the Orange skin, can you resize and then center the TOC Tiles > toctiles section on the Home Page tab of the Frameless output? I resized it to 75% but that left aligns the tiles. I want them to remain centered. Is there a way to do that?
Hello! I am using Robohelp Classic 2019, into which I imported a Framemaker 2020 book. By default, most styles came out clean, but I did have to update some styles in RH. I was able to generate Resp HTML5 output from RH, and it looks clean in Chrome. However, I would like to just generate the output in FM directly without having to use RH. So...question being, how can I output a CSS from RH that contains all the styling I require to generate clean output in FM? I notice that in RH there are 3 style sheets in use for each file(topic) in the project: RHsytlemapping.css, default.css, and [Filename].css (a unique css for each file of the book). I have selected the unique file to for each topic. I created a ".sts" file in FM using the unique CSS...and some of the styles don't convert cleanly. Especially those with bullets and hanging tabs (like when text wraps to next line in numbered list...and doesn't line up). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Hi all,I am using 2 condition tag in my project to be able to filter the content once the documentation is generated. I did not find the option to have one of the condition tags selected by default, is it possible? Thanks in advance.
I have a couple of RoboHelp projects and am currently using RoboHelp 11. My company is upgrading me to the current subscription version. Can I make this jump? Do I need to update the projects to another "classic" version first? It looks like the recommendation is to open the projects in 2015, 2017 or 2019 first. So do I need to purchase v2019 also?
Hi, Dear members of the community, could you guide us if Robohelp can add a functionality that allows feedback from readers? Thank you so much..
Hello,Random question, does anyone know why we cannot add txt files to a project? They appear greyed out in the file upload dialog box. I can add them manually using the mac finder window so that is my workaround but i found it odd that I can't from the UI.
I have GIT for Windows installed and working on my machine. I usually use the GIT command prompt for all dat-to-day GIT operations. If I integrate RH 2020 with GIT, does RH work as an interface to GIT?Does GIT-RH2020 integration work well, if anyone has tried?
Hi, Everyone. I'm in RH 2019 (new UI) trying to center the TOC tiles area on the home page of a frameless skin (Oceanic). Any help is much appreciated!
Hi, Could you guide us to an expert who could support us to customize Robohelp skins? Thank you.
Has anyone successfully used SharePoint to distribute your HTML5 output with others (outside your organization)? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Our files are saving to SharePoint, but attempting to open the index file downloads it rather than opening a browser to show the content output from Robohelp. The index file opens as expected from the "output" folder I have saved to our network drive. (My "local" folder and the content saved to SharePoint are both creating .aspx files, which I don't know what to do with as they won't open in a browser--except to show html gibberish).
Hi all!I am generating documentation in Responsive HTML5 and I want to exploit the multi-language functionality offered by RoboHelp. My original project is developed in Spanish and I see that I can generate a project with the English translations, but I could not find if in the final publication it is possible to offer both languages in the form of a selector. Something like this:This is my doubt, what is the correct procedure to publish a project in several languages? Is it possible to do it directly on RoboHelp? Thanks in advance.
Hi everyone,I am working on a project on Robohelp and I am experiencing some issues while creating the pdf file. I need to export my TOC as chapter list and I would like to see the PDF bookmarks reflect the TOC structer rather than the Heading in the topic files, but I am not able to do so. As reference here my settings for pdf generation:Here's my TOC:Here's the generated bookmarksHow can I generate the bookmark in the same is structured my TOC?Thanks,Alberto
I have three versions generated from a single project, Windows, Linux and Mac versions. When I generate the Windows version, I can see the default.css in the assets/css folder in output. For Linux and Mac however, the default.css does not appear there. As a result, my @11220649-face embedded font is not used, I get the default Times New Roman font being used. I searched in the community for answers and checked something Peter had referenced, checking the source of the output for something like this: <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="../assets/css/default_pg.css"/> and what I'm seeing in Linux and Mac versions is this: <link rel="StyleSheet" href="template/myproject_screen/layout.css" type="text/css"/>. In Windows, it is this: <link rel="StyleSheet" href="template/MyProject_screen/layout.css" type="text/css"/>. Why is my default.css disappearing when I generate?
Hi team,I just want to know if we can use the .md file in Robohelp? My team uses GitHub to publish the content work, so I just want to know if that's possible. If so, could someone help me out with this? Thanks,Avinash S
Bonjour,Je n'arrive pas à affecter l'habillage que j'ai créé à mon projet.Je ne comprend pas comment cela fonctionne.Merci par avance
Hi, Has anyone seen this issue? I was trying to apply an ol (ordered list) style and RoboHelp has put double numbers on it. Unfortunately it's done this for each topic in my help file.
After applying update 8 to RH2020, we are now seeing this error when attempting to push/pull to Bitbucket:----------git@bitbucket.[server hidden].com: Permission denied (publickey).fatal: Could not read from remote repository. Please make sure you have the correct access rights and the repository exists.---------We can still commit through the interface, but we have to push/pull using Git BASH or Git GUI outside of RH. Has anyone else seen this?
I finally was able to publish to SharePoint with the upgrade 5 to RoboHelp 2019. However, after moving the generated *.aspx files when I try to open the link to the index.aspx I get the 404 Not found error. Even if I click on the actual index.aspx file I get the Sorry something went wrong, file not found error. The online help does not include what new options should be set to publish to SharePoint. I just marked the "Generate SharePoint Output" option, gave a location to put the output and published the HTML5 Output. What do I need to do to get the index to work?
Hi, When I import a topic in my RH project I don't see the possibility to indicate that I don't want to import the snippets included in this topic or even the attached css. Is there a way like we add with RH 2019 to check the components that you want to import or not? Also, each time a new folder is created to save the imported css that I don't want. This results in an infinite tree of css : content > assets > css > assets > css.... Thank you very much
