Hi,I have a problem when generating My Project to Microsoft HTML Help with Robohelp 2020. All of the Book drop-down lists are displayed on the Tables of Contents in My project. But when I generated to Microsoft HTML Help its only displayed 1 book list. If anyone can give me some direction on what I need to do, I'd really appreciate it.Thank u!

Hello All! I've figured out to work in translation projects and am now translation documents by myself. However. I publish to frameless and want my users to have access to my documents in their preferred language. I can't seem to figure out how to give my users the choice to select their language. I've come up with putting a dropdown menu in my topics where I put a cross reference link or hyperlink to the specific translated topic. However I can't find the translated topic in the menu. Am I just overlooking something or am I just looking in the wrong direction to do this? How can I put a link to a translated topic from a translation project in my main (EN) topic?  Looking forward to a reply for some guidance. Greetings.

I have developed a project with the last version of RoboHelp, I have generated the output in Responsive HTML5 format and I want to publish it with the File System option.I am storing the generated files in a SharePoint folder and I find that when I access this folder from Windows Explorer I can see the result correctly. However, if I access the SharePoint folder from Microsoft Edge, the project home page is not well displayed and I can't navigate between the topics contained in the project.Is there anything else to be done?Thanks in advance.Esperanza

I'm working on RoboHelp Classic 2019 to create a HTML5 Help output. I wanted to customize the css for personalized output; therefore, I downloaded one HTML5 project so that I can update the index.htm, layout.css, and default.css. I've made changes in all three files and got the desired output (in the browser). However, when I'm updating the customized HTML (in Topic.slp) and CSS (in Layout.css and Default.css) in the RoboHelp. The changes made to the files are not reflecting in the generated output. What I'm doing wrong?

RoboHelp 2020.7.46, Frameless layout, Studio skin I am having an issue where the breadcrumb trail includes only the word "Home:" and does not include the topic title. This happens only with some of my topics, and those topics are all [several levels deep] in three subfolders in my source project. I cannot figure out anything these topics or folders have in common that is different from the rest of my files and folders. In Inspect mode, I see that the breadcrumbs are formatted as an unordered list. I'm working to generate my documentation without having to use Word for formatting. One issue is that the TOC sturcture tab in the PDF Output Preset only has two options, chapter names & topics or topic heading styles. Is there a way to use only the chapter names? Selecting "use topic heading styles" and limiting it to h1 is not a desirable option currently, I do not use h1 in my topics. In previous verions I have relied on the books in the TOC to provide the chapter names, and after generating a .docx file I redudced the TOC to only the chapters using a Word macro. 

I have searched all over the internet and I was not able to fnd anywhere that specified what parameters RoboHelp.exec() can accept when passing in RoboHelp.COMMAND.AUTHOR_DELETE_TOPIC_TOC I have read this document https://helpx.adobe.com/content/dam/help/en/pdf/RoboHelp-Scripting-Reference-2019.pdf and while it does define the available properties and the promise that they return it does not define the usage / specific parameters that methods (exec,getValue,setValue) accept.   Example code: let callCount = 0;//without this count cbGetData will return 68 times. Hello RoboHelp Community, Search locks up in a merged project in RH 2020 Update 8. Search works fine when I test it on a single word document or project. I know there have been some recent posts related to this issue.  But I have not been able to find a solution for my problem in those posts. Does anyone have any ideas about how to resolve this issue? Thank you, Ken

I had checked a few months back about this scenario.I have a frameless online help output. Works perfectly on local machine.When I am am navigating through the help topic and I want to go to the landing page (with tiles) upon clicking the logo, it works perfectly on local machine.When I copy the help output to the web server (on AWS) everything else works. But when I click the logo to return to the home/landing page (with tiles). It doesn't work.Upon clicking the logo nothing happens. No error. just displays blank while space/page in the right pane:Ideally when I click the logo it should take me to this landing/home page:Any idea if this is a bug? Not sure if this can be fixed. It happens ONLY when the output is hosted on a web server.

Is it possible to edit skins outside the skin editor, or make custom ones to import? I thought I remember seeing something about using SASS to do so on one of the pages when I first started using Robohelp last year, but I was focused on learning the basics and pdf outputs at the time. I do 99% of my formatting in Robohelp using the code pages for the HTML and CSS, and am finding trying to use the Skin Editor very frustrating. I would prefer to do it in the code. Ideally I would prefer to edit an already created skin as there are only minor tweaks I want to do, mostly moving moving buttons inside associated containers to simplify positioning.

I am running RoboHelp 2020 Update 8. I had to upgrade my 2019 project file (.XPJ) to .rhpj. I am having issues with generating a CHM and also my file sychronization with VSTS is now broken. With the CHM generation, I receive the Script Error as shown below. Also, my breadcrumbs are no longer in the CHM.Please help. I appreciate your feedback.Thank you,Marla below

Hi all,While creating a topic, we type the 'Title' and then the 'File Name'. Before updating to Update 8, for the 'File Name', I didn't have to type the name with'.htm' as '.htm' appears automatically on the system. But now, if I cleared the default 'Title' and replaced it with a new 'Title', the '.htm' extension doesn't appear on the 'File Name' field. In such a case, if I didn't notice carefully, instead of a topic, a folder is getting created.Please check the screenshots for a better understanding of the issue.Did anyone else face the same issue?

I am using RH version 2020.8.34 and am facing an issue while creating a new topic.I was trying to add a new topic.The New Topic pop-up appears.I deleted the default Title nameAdded a new title name “sample1” and clicked Create.But, it is getting added as a folder and not as a topic I even tried to put the ".htm" extension in the file name.But that was also not useful. A new folder appeared in the list instead of a topic. Is there any solution?

Our documentation was written and formatted with PDF output in mind. I am currently reworking it so it works well for both PDF and HTML Frameless output. Mostly just adjusting pictures to be more responsive right now as I am working my way through getting the skin adjusted appropriately. The output looks great on my 1920x1080 laptop screen up to about 3/4 the width of my 2k external monitor, but setting thing to the full width start looking way too spread out. Is there a way to set a maximum frame size and center everything on larger screens? I can only imagine how bad it could look on a large 4k monitor. I have responsive turned on in the skin editor and the Mobile Maximum width is set to the default of 1000, however I believe that only changes it between the mobile vs desktop view. Is there a way to do it that would constrain the skin as well? I can go set a max-width wrapper on all my topics, but the TOC on the left and right are still spread out across the entire screen, looki

I have a project with lots of topic using graphics with image maps to let user select area of interest. We're currently using latest 2020.7.46 release. After updating to this release I found that I cannot edit the existing image maps any more. The menu that is displayed after a right-click on the image does contain "Edit Image map.." option. For testing I already creaetd a totally new topic with an imgae and added a single imgae map area, connected to an existing topic. It was created correectly and works fine in browser preview, but no editing (moving or resizing map area with cursor) possible. When opening such an imgae map topic I also see an exclamation mark at imgae map section telling "<IMG> elements require an alt section that cannot be empty" Of course, I added this, but message stayed, even after saving and re-opening the file. Maybe someone has an idea. Is anybody else out there using image maps at all ? In that respect, the new Robohelp HTML UI is a huge step back

From Robohlp 2017, I want to generate Word output that has a header (in table formst) at the top of each page that automatically picks up either Heading 1 and Heading 2 info, depending on which style was applied to the topic heading in RH. I can get it to display Heading 1 but not Heading 2. Any way to make this happen? (I want to retain the Heading 2 topic headings from RH in order for the Table of Contents in the Word output to generate properly to show subsections). If this cannot be done in RH17, can it be done (or more easily done) in RH2020? 

RoboHelp 2020.746I started the generate process yesterday morning and it has been running non-stop. I have a "Processing reference [filename]" window that occasionally changes to a different filename so I would think that the process is actually doing something. Does anyone know if there is a log file being created during the generate process that I could use to find out if the Generate process is actually doing something or if I should kill the generate process?

Is there a way to make Robohelp 2017 word wrap long titles in the TOC of responsive html 5 output? Long titles are not shown correctly in my output, and I have to expand the TOC column to be able to read to full title.

Hello!I zip and email my HTML outputs to a client. Unzipped the file size is about 4MB. For whatever reason when the client unzips it, it becomes 10 times bigger (if not more). Does anyone have any idea on why this happens? Thanks in advance.

I took a .chm project that was created and updated in RH9 (to which I no longer have access, thank goodness) and was going to convert it to RH2020, because that is what I use for all the other help. I read that I should go through RH19, so I downloaded Update 14 of RH2019. Opening the .chm that generates produced a script error on each page that I try to open. Reading other users' questions in this forum leads me to believe that the answer is to download Update 12 instead of Update 14. Is that correct? Any other option? Thanks.

HelloI have noticed in RoboHelp 2020 (version 2020.8.34) that, when I do a search in the Contents panel, RoboHelp does not return the entire list of results. I have a very large project, and a search that should return 207 topics only displays 50 topics. Does anyone know if there is a limit to the number of topics that will appear in a Contents search? Thank you for any insight. 

I have added a related topic control in the Robohelp topics. It shows the pop-up menu in the preview mode, but after generating the output only the Related Topic button gets displayed. On clicking this button the pop-menu does not get displayed. Can someone help to resolve this issue?

Robohelp 2020 topic page showing up as html instead of the acrtual content.
