RoboHelp

I have a skin I customized in RH 2019.0.14.  When I try to import it into RH 2020.7.46, I get an error:  I can't find any instructions on how to perform this upgrade. I spent quite a while getting this skin exactly the way I want it. I'd hate to have to recreate it from scratch. Can anyone point me to the procedure / tell me how to perform this upgrade? Thank you.

I just upgraded to RoboHelp 2020.   I imported an old project and under my assets and css folders, I had multiple nested assets and css folders / files. Using the RoboHelp Unused file report, I was able to see what files were not being used and clean up the structure.   My question is how is the structure supposed to work. In below, when I add a new topic (!!!!!- Added Manual Test) and imported an HTML file (!!!!! - Import Test), the files are at the same level as the folders (e.g., snippets). The topics from the previous version of RoboHelp (e.g., Application Settings) look to be one level higher. As I have multiple RoboHelp files to convert, what is correct? If the default should be as the manual file test and import test, I can highlight all the topics and move them under assets to be the same as the manual and import test. That would be one less step when adding / importing files.   I just want to be sure of the structure before converting other

I just upgraded my first project to RH 2020. In the short term, I want to reproduce the Responsive HTML5 output using the customizations that were made to the Indigo layout in RH 2019 Classic. (I didn't do the customizations myself.) All in all, the output doesn't look too bad. The upgrade process did pick up our custom icons, but when I look in RH, I can't find where they are specified. For example, we had custom book and topic icons for the landing page, and although they show up in the output, they aren't sized quite right. We also had custom icons for favorites and the browse sequence, but these also seem a little bit off. For example, the "Next" function in the browse sequence is mapped to the Previous arrow, and the "Previous" function has no icon but does work if you hover in the place where it should be. In RH, I don't see anywhere in the Skin editor to make customizations. Where should I be looking? I'm using RH 2020 Update 6.

Hi All. When creating a responsive output from RoboHelp 2019 Classic and viewing on different devices, the TOC fails to show on iOS. Has anyone encountered this and is there a solution?Thanks.

Hello everyone, I'm a new born user of Robohelp. With my comapny we decided to use Robohelp for managing user manual.Iwould therefore need to know if there is a way to manage, in a single TOC, several manuals, avoiding that the updating of one of them causes the mismatch of the others: Infact I noticed that the modification in the " Content" panel does not propagates automatically in TOC, so for each modification, I would have to autogenerate the TOC from the beginning, having to adjust the structure of all the documents from time to time.Is there any way to avoid this?If this is not possible, is it possible, by creating as many projects as there are manuals, perhaps merge them into a single master project, recalling the TOC of each, so as to avoid that the modification of one involves the mismatch of the order of the others?Thanks so much!

I have RoboHelp Version 2020.7.46. (Not Classic) When I try to use the Mini TOC or any link at all, the links do not work when I publish the file, either locally or to SharePoint. They stopped working a few weeks ago. I even deleted the Mini TOC and created the links using hyperlinks and bookmarks but no luck. 

Hello, I am using Robohelp 2019. I am importing the htm files manually for project conversion from Robohelp 2019 classic to Robohelp 2019 non classic.I would like to know if there is a way to import the htm files from the classic version to the non-classic version using a script.

I am using RoboHelp 2017 with an established project and .css file. I know this isn't the most up-to-date version of RoboHelp but it is rarely used any longer and it still works for our purposes. Mainly I make changes to existing topics as needed (very infrequently) and update the Copyright year in the footer each year. This year when I made the Copyright change (simply opened the file, changed the year from 2021 to 2022), recompiled and published to the server, issues appeared with things like parens, copyright symbols, dashes, apostrophies, etc.  When I view the project locally, I don't see these characters. Any ideas?  

Hello Community,I just finished off the Test-Version of Adobe RoboHelp and there are 2 things I couldnt solve which are essential for the desicion of purchasing it.1. What we need in our technical documentation is a numbered TOC, which also shows up the Numbers on the TOC Page. For exmple something like this:Im not looking for the explanation now how I can do it, I just need to know is it possible, and if yes, how easy its done? As for me it seemed very complicated to set such "essential" things for a documentation. 2. How are you guys working with pictures? As we used Microsoft Word, we often worked with numbered symbols on pictures to lead the reader to the right section of a picture. The only thing I saw in RoboHelp was the Imagemaps.. but therefore I couldn't make, for example the circle, which links to the topic, to appear on the picture itself, which isnt actually useful as a reader - especially when its a printed document. The Picture below is an example how we used to

We have a frameless project and output. The source files are imported from word document. Does importing word files add anything to the topics that slows down the output?

I am [finally] going to start upgrading my RH 2019 Classic projects to RH 2020. I want to make sure I understand how context-sensitive help with the URL method will work in both Responsive HTML5 and Frameless layouts generated with RH 2020. For our current Responsive HTLM5, the context-sensitive topics are linked in this format:  /path/topic.htm#t=topicfile.htm (where topicfile.htm is a level or two deep in subfolders) As I understand it, if I want to produce Responsive HTML5 output using RH 2020, all those URLs will have to be edited to use this format: /path/index.htm#t=topicfile.htm (where index.htm replaces topic.htm). And if in the future I want to go with a frameless layout, all those URLs will have to be edited again to use this format: /path/topicfile.htm (where the path includes all of the subfolders necessary to get to topicfile.htm)As I understand it, no intervening reference like "index.htm#t=" is necessary with this la

Hi All , I buy a Adobe RoboHelp (2019 Edition) , one user, can switch two computers to use? 

I am using FM 2019 (Version 15.0.8.979) and RH 2019 (2019.0.14). I want to link the FM book in an RH project and have it auto-create the TOC when I tell it to Create/Update Topics. When I do this, the TOC it creates only has Title 1s in it.  Previously, I was able to get it to bring in the TOC and include everything down to Titles 3 & 4.  The problem is I can't remember how I did it. Does anyone know which settings I need to change so it includes Titles 2, 3, and 4 in the TOC? (It's a 600+ page document with 50+ Title 1s, all having multiple Titles 2/3/4.  Creating each entry in the TOC manually would take hours each and every time we update the original FM book so that's not a good option.)

For the integration of a context-sensitive help into an ERP software, the first file <erp>.hs is required. Before I buy Robohelp, I would like to know about the experience with this type of help file. In particular: Is it a current format or is it rather outdated?

I am using RH2020.7.46 to generate CHM.My project includes context-sensitive Help topics that are accessed only from the software UI.I understand that I must now include these files in the TOC for them to be included in the CHM and that I must hide them so they aren't visible in the TOC.My questions:Selecting the Hide in output check box in the Section properties does not hide the section. Is this intended operation?Selecting the Hide in output check box in the Topic properties hides the topics but a section icon is left in the TOC. Is this intended operation?

Using a Mac on Monteray and had the Robohelp trial working fine.  I deleted some test projects and it stopped working. I have tried to reinstall Robohelp but the install screen is a simple white rectangle with a never ending blue ring going round and round. It wont re-install. I have deinstalled the previous trial (29 days left) and shutdown, re-started, re-downloaded etc and the same result. Im assuming there is file somewhere stopping me from re-installing - any ideas about how I can get back on my trial? 

 hi I have missing photos and these aren't present at DELETED FOLDER. Please help in getting this back. These photos are extremely important to me.  

Whenever I am trying to create an image map on an image in a topic, the image is not displayed in the image map popup. Since the image is not visible I'm unable to create an image map.I want to create image maps so that various parts of the image can be linked to relevant topics. Please Help: Attached an image for reference:

Hi Team, I have subscribed to Robohelp trial version and started creating a simple help manual for one of my application. I have  successfully completed it within 7 days well before the trial ends. Can use the webhelp output in my web app without purchasing or subscribing to any license ? Please suggest.

Another issue I noticed we have steps/procedures as part of content imported from Word. In the source it shows correctly. When I generate a frameless output, it does not show up in the output. Any pointers?

I have RoboHelp Version 2020.7.46. When I try to upgrade using the Help menu, I get the following message: "Adobe UpdaterUpdates have been disabled for this machine. Please contact your administrator." I am the Administrator of my computer. (Checked with IT, just to make sure.) How do I upgrade?  

We have a scenario in one of the product where their legacy documentation is hundreds of documents 900+ I would say. These are documents ranging from 10 to 50 pages - assorted.The customer is asking if they want to move all of these documents into RH source for single sourcing is it possible?More than single sourcing the challenge is importing 900+ documents individually in RH. Any script based solution here?

I'm re-evaluating RH 2020 with Update 7 to see if it's viable for us to upgrade from RH 2017. Sometimes my generation just hangs or seems to hang, especially for a large Word or PDF generations. I'd like to determine why. Answers to the following questions might help me:Where in my file sytem does RoboHelp 2020 store its temporary files when generating an output? For example for Word or PDF generated output?Where in my file system does RH store it's log files that shows the generation status?Is there a way to clear the log file before each generation?Thank you!

Hello, I'm facing an issue in generating Responsive HTML5 output. I can only see topic links and no content for the topics.I've tried opening the output file in multiple browsers. Still, nothing has worked.I'm facing an issue only with one project, and other projects are working fine. Please help me solve this problem.
