Hi All, I am generating a frameless output with an FAQ microcontent to Sharepoint but cannot open the FAQ page from Sharepoint. The main page works and I can even search for the FAQ intent and answers in the search box, however, the actual FAQ page does not load. I get an error message that the website is unavailable - for example it says the FAQ_Jaggaer_Online.aspx file is not available. When I search in the actual sharepoint folder there is no aspx file for the FAQ microcontent. If I simply click on the FAQ_Jaggaer_Online.htm file in Windows explorer it works fine. The issue seems to be with opening the site from sharepoint. I have attached some screenshots of the sharepoint folder structure & files. Please help! Thanks,Felix
Hi, my company has RH 2020 subscription. In error, a co-worker who couldn't get into our corp acct, started a RH Trial 2019 account. They created many projects in this trial version. We cannot get access to 2019 where these projects are. It's asking for a license key, which we don't have. We do have a subscription for 2020. Is there any way to retrieve these? thank you!
Thank you Peter for telling this. I indeed see it when I check for updates from the RoboHelp menu. The what's new text shows the link https://helpx.adobe.com/robohelp/kb/fixed-issues.html to see details, but these are not yet available. I guess that we just have to wait a while for the details to be published.
Update 8 is now available. It is certified for Windows 11 and contains many fixes. Note: If you are using 2020.0, see this thread to apply the update. Post edited 30 July 2022. The original post was for Update 7 but Update 8 has since been released.
Hello, I use RH 2019 classic to generate chm help files and release notes.I would like to know how to adress next need.We compile small modification that are published via build (kind of release note, but more elaborated) and once a year a major release. The major release will contain succesive new topics from prevouis builds. For a new build with a small set of changes, it is ok to have the topics uncategorized, but for the major release we want those topics to be organised in chapters, groups or something like that. Those chapters are know at the creation of the topic. We create the topic via Project manager and a toc via TOC view. Ideally, I would like to add a kind of metadata to the topic, that will contain a field for build number and a field for a functiongroup (eg sales, warehouse, etc) or category. Is there a mechanism that would create an overview of selected topics and drop them in a new page (a toc, but then in a topic), where the metadata is shown too? Ideally it shoul
In classicversions of RH, the toolbar had a Save icon that saved the changes to the topic that you were currently looking at, and a Save All icon that saved changes to everything you had made changes to during the session. RH 2020 has only one Save icon that saves all changes to all items. There are many times when I have mulitple items opened and only want to save changes to one of the items I'm working with. Is there any way to do that without closing all the items I don't want to save the changes in?
I am using RH2020.6.76. Last year, I inquired about setting up a landing page to deliver content to specific audiences, but allow all the content to be shared through cross-referencing embedded in a topic after the topic has loaded. Peter Grainge pointed me to some information, and now that I have the workflow on what is wanted. I'm wondering if this is possible with conditional tags, dynamic content filtering, and adding a string to a URL to identify the tag.
Hi there,I'm trying to edit the header hyperlinks in a frameless SKIN: I don't know where I add information that the Features and About links would link to? And I'd like to add an email link to the Feedback, but I don't know where I go to control these hyperlinks. I hope I'm asking this clearly enough. Or, I may want to remove the features and about links altogether, I'm not sure, yet, either way, I need to know where to control these links. Thank you for your help!Carmela

Hello. I faced a next problem with RH. The left menu doesn't work correctly for Frameless output. I can select several items at once. Please see video.https://shared-assets.adobe.com/link/d085b8a7-49af-45e1-65bf-6cb11e5ece02Has anyone encountered this problem and is there a solution to it?
Hello,I am at a complete loss at what to do and hoping someone can explain this to me in easy to follow directions. I am looking to combine 32 child projects ("unmerge") into 1 project to work easily with Zendesk and Github. With that being said, I had orginally had tried to do this in Robohelp2019 (as my coworker who used to do this left directions for me before she exited the company) and it didnt work. I contacted Adobe and was told I needed to upgrade to Robohelp2020 first before unmerging all the projects and putting them into one project. I did that and I tried to follow this article https://helpx.adobe.com/robohelp/using/manage-projects.html. Unfortunately still no luck and Im running out of time to get this done. Can someone explain this to me easily? Im new to understanding this part of Robohelp . To confirm Im looking to take the 32 child projects, which now each have a .rhph file, and create one project with all that information. Thank you
Hello! Does anyone know if Smart Index Wizard has been added to RH 2020 interface. We have been using it in RH 2019 Classic, and we recently switched to RH 2020. Any leads would be greatly appreciated!
Hi all, I'm trying out the PDF function of 2020.5, but have found something that, if I understand it correctly, is a step backward over the RH 2019 PDF output. My situation:I have an online project which consists of nested TOCs. There is one big PDF wich is a printout of the complete project, for people who prefer to use PDF over online. All my topics start with H1. Some of them have a mini TOC using bookmarks and have H2 inside them. The current nested TOC goes approximately 3 levels deep, sometimes (but not often) 4 levels. The topics must be usable at any depth of the TOC, so I cannot use H2 or H3 as the main topic header. In RH 2019, this all worked fine. I could insert topics at any level of the TOC and the indents in the printed TOC would move accordingly. The printed TOC matched the online TOC exactly, so that even support people could point users over the phone to the correct PDF topic while using the online help themselves. However, with 2020, if I understand it correctl
Hi There, I got a new laptop at work and currently have the 2019 Classic, 2019 and 2020 versions of Robohelp installed on my old laptop. I need to have all three on my new laptop because we are in the process of converting our files to 2020 but have not converted our largest Help file yet. When I tried to download 2019 Classic onto my new laptop I got this error message: Since it's a new laptop I have the latest operating system. I had no problem installing 2020 though. Can someone tell me why I'm getting this error code when trying to install 2019 Classic? Thanks, Julianna
Hi Everyone,I am working on a project using a default skin and the usual components on the homepage and topic pages ie. buttons, TOC and MiniTOC etc.The difference between my TOC and MiniTOC is that the Mini TOC has all Heading 2 broken into items on the relevant topic page.So this means on the topic page the user can either scroll down the page past the various headings or click on any of the sub-links listed in the MiniTOC to navigate on the topic page.I would like to remove the MiniTOC on the right completely and have the same level of detail added into the default TOC.Please can I have some assistance on how to accomplish this? Currently I have removed the MiniTOC but struggling to add the same level of detail listed in my TOC.Any Support would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in AdvanceRegards,Davendren
I recently converted from RH19 to RH20. Our tables styles didn't migrate over properly. For instance, embedded/nested tables are extending out past the larger table. The settings have terms I'm not familiar with and the RH guide doesn't explain what they are either (ex. sticky, in-line flex, etc.). Can anyone shed some light on how I fix this?
I am generating a PDF from RoboHelp 2019. The TOC seems to correctly reflect my defined Table of Contents. However the PDF bookmark hierarchy is incorrect. It seems to be a straight listing of topics regardless of the TOC hierarchy or heading levels. This is especially problematic because the PDF defaults to opening the bookmark panel. Has anyone else seen this or have a fix for this issue?
I have a style I'm currently using for headings. Since you cannot delete "Heading 1" from the list of styles, I'd like to copy the settings for my existing style to "Heading 1." Is there an easy way to do it? Since Heading 1 doesn't exist in my .css file, I can't just copy and past the text.
Hi all,I'm using RoboHelp 2020.6.76.I'm having trouble with the chm file opening under our application window. I have tried setting the "Top-Most" Window Setting when I generate the .chm, (and tried the same with it unset), and get the same result. Also seem to have the same trouble when I change the default window size - no matter what size I choose, the window opens the same size and under our application. It's like the chm is ignoring the settings in the Window Settings file (called "defaultsize" in the screenshot below). I have spoken to our developer and he is NOT applying any rules on the application's call to the .chm file that would cause it to open underneath, or doing anything that should override my "top-most" instruction... The file used to open on top of the application as expected... we applied a couple of RoboHelp patches in the fall - could it be an introduced issue? I'm stuck! Is this a known bug? Any workarounds? Any ideas welcome.
Customer Service team.I have one chance left to contact you through this community, as I am sure you are reading it.I regularly contact you with various questions, but I should note that only a small part of them are solved. What is even more annoying is that unsolved cases are simply closed without any solution or explanation from your side.I find this kind of support service unsatisfactory. My attempts to discuss this situation with someone from management did not arouse Adobe's interest.I hope you still care about your customers' feedback.
Hi, I am trying to add external web pages as new topics to TOC with RoboHelp 2020, but the program always says "Skipped copying pages". It was possible with RoboHelp 2017.Does anyone have any idea how to help me?
