RoboHelp

I am using RoboHelp 2019. I don't understand why the body of a snippet will not appear when inserted in a topic.  Instead, it only appears as a hyperlink.  On a different topic, the body of the snippets appears correctly when I drag and drop them. I don't know what the difference is and how to get the body of the snippet appear correctly on all topics. 

I am trying to generate Responsive HTML output in RH 2020.4.173, and I ran into these problems:1. If I use an auto-generated TOC and I define Output Presets for the first time, the output comes out fine, with the skin I chose and a working TOC. If I add any new topics and generate again, the Output does not generate a TOC.2. If I edit my TOC in any way and try to use the same Preset, the output does not produce a TOC.3. If I use an auto-generated TOC and define my Output Preset, but this time I edit the skin, the output does not produce a TOC.I am waiting for my IT Dept. Techs to update my version to 6, but until that happens (give it a day or two after this posting), I won't know if the update will cure my output woes. Has anyone encountered similar problems?

My team is planning to upgrade from RH2019 Classic to RH2020. We haven't used RH2019 new UI because our project does not convert to the new UI style. We have a style sheet that is multiple generations of RoboHelp old, so I want to recreate it in RH2020. I have two questions: 1.) The default css in RH2020 has blank spaces. For example, the Font Size, Line Height, and Text Alignment are all blank. But they obviously have a size/spacing in the preview. Where is this information coming from? 2. The old style sheet in RH2019 Classic has strange sizes. For example, this is our H1 in the project. Is there anything that tells me what size "x-Large" is? 

I'm using RoboHelp 2020 and generating Responsive HTML5 Help. I've added some index keywords for a topic but they're not showing up in the compiled Help. Can someone Help me? 

Hi,I've been having 404 errors for certain topics since I upgraded my RoboHelp project to 2020. I've tried lowercase file names and other ways to no avail as of yet. I'd like to try to edit or remove the "Click Here to View the page in full context" link that shows up in the HTML4 output. I see a thread on this forum about doing that in 2017, but I can't find the option in RoboHelp 2020.  I appreciate any input.Thanks. 

To insert a webview into an HTML project would the best way be to use a link and customize it in the dialog to open in the same frame? Would value suggestions, best practices of others who have used this feature. Thank you in advance.Best Wishes.

I'm unable to import a skin. I've made some custom changes on pre-defiend skin (Orange) and now I want to import this skin in the "live" project. Both projects are using the same verion of RH.When importing the skin in the "live" project the following error messsage is shown... "Importing skin from different RoboHelp version is not supported. Upgrade the skin to current RoboHelp version and try again."Again, the skin is a customized version of the pre-defiend skin "Orange". The original skin has been used in both the "test" and "live" projects. The customization has been done in the "test" project.What am I missing here? I would expect that I simply could exprot the skin in the "test" project and then import this in "live" project?

Hi,When viewing a topic in preview mode the dropdown text feature is not working as expected.When I click the dropdown toggle element a new blank window is opened with the topics html as content? Feels like the javascript is missing or not running?Video of the issue here Using Robohelp 2020.6.76

I have recently started to edit a project, with which is an enterprise WebHelp site with approximately one thousand topics. When I went to "Save All" a Headers and Footers information box came up. With 2 choices, the default choice being the first...."This topic was created from a Master Page and the header or footer has been modified. What would you like to do: 1. Apply this modification to all topics created from the Master Pageor2. Apply this modification to this topic onlyNote: Choosing this option will remove the link to the Master Page"I presumed that the default selection would just save my work and compile webhelp.Unfortunately, the first choice applied the one heading to every topics page. Can I rollback the last compiled webhelp so that Headers go back ? 

So we have a single RoboHELP file from version 2019 that I need to generate and lightly maintain. In a flurry of activity, our IT department tossed our CD version of 2019, and so we have only one computer that has RoboHELP 2019 and we'd like to avoid a problem when/if it stops working. To that end, I upgraded the project to 2020, and all seemed well, except when I generate the file, I get the TOC on the left, and no content on the right. Selecting a topic in the TOC pulls up the content, but the TOC disappears with no way to get it back, save for the browser 'back' button. This is true for all browsers I tried, and I've tried a number of different build options. Does anyone have any idea what may have broken, or what I'm doing wrong? My thanks in advance for any of your knowledge.

RoboHelp 2017 Webhelp Hello!  I wasn't sure if I should post a new topic or reply to an older one.  I'm trying to expand all drop-downs following the information from this older post:https://community.adobe.com/t5/robohelp/expanding-collapsing-all-instances-of-drop-down-text-in-a-topic/m-p/6779830.  And having trouble. Alternately, I wouldn't need to do this if I could copy and paste all content with the drop-downs closed.  This isn't RoboHelp functionality, but maybe someone has a browser tip for me.  Basically, I used to be able to right-click a topic from the published Webhelp, select all, copy, and then paste (into Word, Notepad, etc).  The drop-downs didn't need to be open, but the content inside them was still copied and pasted. We had an upgrade to Internet Explorer, and this no longer works. It also doesn't work in Edge or Chrome. (In all three browsers, I now have to manually open each drop-down in order to include their content when I c

Hi, Is it just me or does the add paragraph "thing" behave in a really starnge way. In this case I have a table at the bottom and I want to insert a new paragraph below the table, a video of the behavior found here https://www.screencast.com/t/5hLymZYcK. The markings shows up and then disapears making it flicker like crazy, if I'm lucky I'm able to "catch" it...Is there any other way of inserting a paragraph in this case that I'm unaware of?

Hello,I recently upgraded to RH v20 to take advantage of the PDF generation features that were not in v19. However, I am unable to generate a PDF from my html files. I've tried smaller and larger TOCs, using different settings in the output configuration, creating brand new output formats in case someone was corrupted, etc. I keep getting the same error in the log after it finishes merging the htm files:"Java not found." I already saw that this was an issue for others so I uninstalled the java I had and resinstalled it with x64 version (C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.8.0_261\bin) and I'm still getting the same error. I've got the latest versions of RH and Media Encoder and everything else I can from Creative Cloud installed and am at a loss about what I can do to fix this.  I don't know if it matters, but I can generate Word and Responsive HMTL 5 outputs fine.

Hi,I've been looking for a way of making small html templates/snippets so that the editors could insert these in the content as a boilerplate for certain type of content. This could of course be done by having a template content file with all the different boilerplates but it would be nice if this kind of templates could be stored in RH itself, just like snippets.I've seen an old post regarding editable snipptes, which would be the type of feature I'm looking for here. Would be a really nice feature. I saw that there has been a feature request on this but it doesn't look like it's active. Is this somehow possible in RH2020 or is there a feature request that I can upvote?Cheers! 

HiI made some edits to the layout.css and userstyles.css in the Output folder. After generating a Frameless output again, I noticed that all my changes disappeared. I just realized that once an output is generated the Output folder gets replaced with the new changes.Which are the files that I need to edit so that the changes remain even after generating multiple outputs. The edits were done to the Header, Toolbar, Toolbar box and left panel containers.

I'm trying to configure a new installation of Server 10 with SQL Server 2014 Standard Edition but I can't get past the RoboHelp Server Configuration Manager.I think I've created a correct database URLI think I've specified the correct JDBC driver classI'm using a database username and password that I created in SSMS, so I know it's correctI'm rather certain I've specified the correct path to the sqljdbc_4.1.jar fileAnd when I click "Test Connection," all I'm getting is "Connection failed."Calling the RoboHelp Server 10 docs on this subject "sparse" would be generous. Hi team, I'am currently trying to migrate our RH application from v9 to v10 ! We backed-up and restored our prod DB on a test environnement, we installed RH10 on a win2019 server and also SQL2014 on same server ! When trying to test the connection to the local database it's not working ! I think I set my image correctly at the image level "Use Thumbnail" checkbox. Also, in output, I clicked "Show Thumbnail for Images". However, the image doesn't appear when I clicked on the image in my HTML5 output. What am I doing wrong?

Receive the above error when attempting to open one of my stylesheets. When I try to use the search site I get an error message in the debugger and the browser crashes. I am using the latest version of RH and the Chrome browser. Has anyone faced this problem? 

Dear RH2020 users, Does anyone have a way to change the looks of the user interface?Currently I'm testing RH2020, as we want to go over from RH2017 to 2020 rather soon. However, the looks of the user interface are a major hurdle in the acceptance of RH2020 in our team. Put simply: the interface is ugly, very, very ugly. It creates the mood of a funeral with its grey, greyer, darker grey or more dark grey themes.In order to lighten our moods, I would like to be able to use some colour on the screen. That would also improve the contrast, and by that productivity. Often I can't find text in menu's because I can't see the difference between the text and the background... like reading the text carved out on an old gravestone. As it is now, I don't like to work with RH2020, and already some collegues confirmed that.Does anyone have ways to improve/ customize the Robohelp2020 HMI with different fontcolours, background colours etc? I would like to create a new theme or something. Is this
