it left shadows and stuff and won't let me take it out. remove.bg is free and lets me fix what the AI did wrong.

You can use the Erase tool (shown in your screenshot) to fix up any artifacts missed by the automatic background removal tool. Within the Erase mode, you have access to quick selection and circle brushes for this purpose.
