In a series of videos I'm working on I have encountered two colouring-based issues that I cannot figure out the solution to. I'm detailing both of them in this post because I believe they might be related but it's possible they're not. It might have something to do with how I'm importing the files?
Issue #1:
In one video I am unable to get the outlines of a specific asset to be pure black. (All visual assets I use for my videos are made in / imported from adobe illustrator.) When I started making this video, I was stupid and wanted the lines to be dark grey for some reason. When I eventually decieded to make the lines pure black I simply changed them in the adobe illustrator files and that change carried over to the aftereffects file for all but one asset. I tried importing new copies of this file, and even rebuilding the asset in a different adobe illutrator file and importing that too, but the lines were still obviously grey. (Also I did make sure to check the opacity, this is not an opacity problem.) I then imported a plain old black square for testing purposes and it ALSO got turned to grey. Something notable is that it seems only the parts of the assets that are supposed to be black are changed, other parts retain the same colour they had in the illustrator files. Eventually I folded and basically rebuilt that specific asset inside aftereffects to get the lines to be black, but it doesnt look very good and I'd like to use to original asset if possible.
Issue #2 (the more important issue):
In a different video (although one in the same series) I have two assets that are the same shade of orange (in their adobe illutrator files). However, they are NOT the same shade of orange according to adobe affereffects. (Also I did make sure to check the opacity, this is not an opacity problem.)

As you can see in the above screenshots they're different although I swear to god they're the same in their own illustrator files (the one on the right, #ed7622, is the correct colour and the one that is in both illustrator files). Because this asset is way more complicated then the one I talked about in issue #1, I am absolutely not going to be rebuilding it in adobe aftereffects just to get the colour I want. I might just take the L with this one and hope my supervisor doesn't notice the colour difference. However I would greatly appreciate if anyone has any idea what could be causing this.
(Also, somewhat alarmingly, when I copy-pasted a shape from one of the illustrator files to another to check if they were the same colour, the copy-paste changed the shape's colour from #ee7622 to #ee7722 ?! Is that normal when copy-pasting between illustrator files?)
Thank you for reading! I hope I was able to explain the problems in a way that made sense.
