Generative fill extreemly slow. Like taking upwards of 5 minutes to generate 1 frame. 1 was 4kslog3 footage the other was 4k hlg footage from two different devices so format isnt the problem. I normally shoot/edit 4k footage and thats buttery smooth I have no problems.
Thank you for reporting this issue. Could you provide your system specs and the version of After Effects you are using? And are you using Generative Fill in Photoshop or Content-Aware Fill in After Effects?

Ryzen 5950x, Amd 5700, 8GB RAM, SSD, Latest after effects 24.3 Content-Aware fill in after effects. I had to use a different route to do what I needed to do. I'm positive I have used content aware fill in After effects months ago with an earlier version of After Effects and it went a lot faster. But for the current project It would have taken 3-5 hours to finish

My first thought is the 4K resolution of the footage might be too high for Content-Aware Fill when there is only 8GB of RAM available—does other 4K footage exhibit the same issue? We've had other reports of long analysis or render times when working with higher-res footage. Is the long wait seen during the analysis stage or the rendering stage? The current stage is visible in the Content-Aware Fill panel.
In the rendering stage not the analysis stage. Yes Two different Formats recorded on two different devices experienceing the same issues. I have also stated that before when content aware fill firs came out I Have used it once or twice with no problems and it seems to be very slow with the latest update. I hate to have to switch versions everytime I work with a different challenge to tackle with a new client.
