Template Export: file_stream_device iostream stream error

Community Beginner ,

I try to export a graphical template with essential graphics. New Project, I add just a color layer and add the scaling as a editable option.

When I hit export as template this appears:

Hi @Jude Lloyd_Binas1595,

Thank you for reporting this issue. We've had this reported by others as well, so I'll be merging your report into another thread related to this same issue.

Could you provide some additional details about your system and the steps you've taken:

  1. What is your OS version and hardware specs (CPU, RAM, etc)
  2. What version of After Effects are you currently using?
  3. Do you get this same error when you attempt to save the project? Can you share the AEP if you are able to save?

I'm sorry to hear that. What version of After Effects are you using? Are you on macOS or Windows? Are you able to export the MOGRT to a different location or to the Creative Cloud Libraries?

Let us know.

Thanks,
Nishu

Hi Nishu,

I use the 25.2 (Build 131) on a Windows 10. I am not able to export anything, cause the error appears right after clicking on "Template Export" in Essential Graphics.

hi @franzj13859080 ,

Do you get the same error if you save the project? Can you share the AEP if you are able to save?

Thanks,

Theresa

Is it fixed? If yes, how did you do it. I am currently facing the same issue.

When exporting a motion graphics template,
the following error occurs and it is not saved.

=================================================

file_stream_device: failed to open file for writing: iostream stream error

=================================================

Even if I put in just one source text, the same error occurs.

Even if I try the latest update or migrate, it is the same.

I am not using any plugins,
and I am using the Windows version.

My computer specifications are
i9-14900K
GeForce RTX 4060

Hi @eunchong28861383wq3a, thanks for writing in.

Others have reported this issue. I am merging your thread with another one related to the same issue. For further investigation, do you mind sharing .AEP file for testing? Feel free to share it via DM if you do not want to share it publicly.

We're here to help.

Thanks,
Nishu
