Well, I can say that I solved this problem by turn off the RepeTile effect. I don't know why, but it worked for me.

I have Intel i7 7700HQ + 16GB RAM, 15 of it for AE

How much RAM does your system have and how much of this has been assigned to AE, in AE's Prefs Dialog?

Thanks for reporting back. When time permits and this is important, instead of disabling the effect, you may want to look at tweaking values such that the effect still works, but without throwing up a memory error.

Im pretty sure that CC RepeTile's values can only be set up to a maximum of 20,000.  This is the most likely culprit.
