Hi,
I'm encountering an issue with the latest version of After Effects on Windows. When I attempt to launch the application, nothing appears on the screen—no splash screen or loading screen. However, when I check the Task Manager, I can see that After Effects is running, but there is no user interface or any indication that the program has actually launched.
I've tried waiting, but the application never opens fully. I haven't received any error messages or prompts.
Has anyone else experienced this issue or have any suggestions on how to fix it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

Thanks for writing in.
Try restarting your computer and running After Effects in Safe Mode. Here's how: https://adobe.ly/4dTRf4w
If that helps, resetting the preference should work.
Let us know how it goes. Moving this thread from Bugs to Discussions for troubleshooting.
Thanks,
Nishu

Same problem here---updated to v 24.6.1, After Effects will not load in Safe Mode (or any mode)----appears in Task Manager in Background Processes but no UI appears

Try this: Plantage au lancement d'After effects 24.6
- Use Creative Cloud Tool Cleaner
- Uninstall Adobe applications
- Update the graphics card (it's probably the most important thing, you should start with that)
- Reinstall the Adobe applications
Before updating the graphics card drivers, make sure to close all your Adobe applications.
I had After Effects open during the graphics card driver update,
and that's what caused it to crash.
After that, I couldn't restart it,
it stayed running in the background.
I had to uninstall and reinstall After Effects to get it working again.

I did all that, still didn't load. Turns out for me it was a Trend anti-virus issue:
