I constantly get this "Failed to write XMP metadata" error message after rendering my files. I'm using version 17.7, but this has happened with previous versions too. The resulting files work fine, but I'd really like to NOT see this message every time I render.
I also have to regularly restart AE as my RAM previews just stop working too. Adobe team, please focus on making AE usable again. Thanks.
I just updated to AE 2023 and encountered this situation, but changing the render to the desktop or changing the folder to an English name solved the problem, hope it helps.
This is a very stupid bug, I hope to fix it as soon as possible.
Hi all,
This issue has been fixed in After Effects version 23.2 and later. Try updating After Effects to the latest and see if that fixes the issue.
Let us know.
Best,
Nishu

I get the same error on version 25.3.2???? This is the latest version. Why are Adobe products still so buggy?

Can you confirm whether the workaround suggested by Hsieh Chun helps or not?
Thanks,

I was able to get my Project to work by purging all my memory on my disks and cache for all versions of After effects and the file opened for me. Hope this helps.

I'm on AE Version 25.1.0 and it's January 2025 and I still get this error message every time I render in After Effects. I've been getting this error message for years. Since it doesn't effect the actual render, I've just put up with the annoying error message.
