Extensions don't work since 2019 After Effects update...

Hi everyone

I'm having this issue since I've updated my CC suite this morning to the 2019 version.

When I look for the extensions in the "WINDOWS> Extensions" dropdown menu in After Effects (Illustrator as well), I can see them listed, but nothing happens when I click on it.

Adittionaly, the extensions that I used to have docked in the 2018 version workspace are now completely blank.

I thought that was a common problem, but I've asked to some colleages and they have no issues with extensions in CC2019.

How can I solve this?

@Adobe This is still an issue... I instaled the extension via the store/market place. Can you inform the developers what needs to be done so we don't need to manually edit the Registory Editor?

Note: The more up to date AE is should correlate to a bigger CSXS folder edit (for example 11, not 9).

Can't agree more with that - maybe there is an automated workaround, but without knowing it every new folder existence ruins it and requires manual updating. Not good.

Tried that, didn't work for me. Trying to get the Handy Seamless Transitons Pack to open, but it still won't show on the extensions tab...

This trick works if the Extension is in the list but doesn't open.

If it's not in the list it means it doesn't work with this AE version. Check if there's an update available.

So unfortunately back to this discussion.

The trick allowed my plug-ins to show up and not cause After Effects to crash (so thank you for that) but they're still not working.

Specifically Motion v2, Ouroboros and BG Render---and I suspect many others.

Is no one else having this problem in CC 2019?

Yes...I'm working through it with Mt Mograph at the moment.

Waiting to hear back after their first suggestion (making sure the Allow scripts pref was set).

btw...I'm getting an error message when I try to launch the extension:

Unable to execute script at line 1. book is undefined

Only happens with the 3rd party script-based tools too, of course.

Even re-installed AE CC 2019 with new preferences to see if that made a difference.

I installed the extension "Motion Bro", and since then After Effects 2019.1 has been freezing. Any suggestions?

I have the same problem. I'm using MotionBro and every time I apply a preset it freezes and then crashes. Did you manage to fix at all?

I have the same problem and i tried your method but it still doesn't work. After i updated my windows to windows 10 and after effects to cc 2019 16.1.0 . when i click on windos-extensions- ex. Motion Bro , it opens a small panel but closes immediately. Someone Help PLZ

Im using Creative cloud with the latest version of Photoshop and Lightroom on a Windows 10 machine with all the updates, fresh Win installed one week ago and everything was working perfectly until today when without any special reason I got this message when I try to use my Lumenzia panel in Photoshop: The "Lumenzia" extension could not be loaded because it was not properly signed.

I had this issue in the past on Windows 7, different version of Photoshop, different panels, the Regedit workaround fixed the issue in the past but not this time.

I created a new string PlayedDebugMode = 1, restarted the Photoshop and after restart i get this, black screen on Lumenzia panel, is not loading at all.

I need to mention that I tried to reinstall Photoshop, deleted all extension folders, tried different version of Photoshop, older version of Lumenzia, still the same issue.

Another mention, Raya Pro panels are working fine.

Hi,

I'm stuck in the Edit String step.

I can only edit the value data to 1( after adding a new one), but cant edit the Value name, it just freeze there , can type anything into it, anyone know do to solve this problem? Thanks a lot.
