Using Adobe After Effect CS6 in 2024

We know that now Adobe no longer supports Adobe After Effect CS6. Previously we could use the trial version of Adobe After Effect CS6 for free for 30 days. We can download it on the official Adobe website, but now Adobe no longer provides a download link. However, I got the trial version of Adobe After Effect CS6 on the internet a few months ago. Can I use the trial version of Adobe After Effect CS6 in 2024? Is it legal?. I only use the trial version for 30 days (without crack, without piracy), because I can't afford the latest Adobe After Effect CC.
Is there an official Adobe employee who can answer my question?

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/
p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

Do be aware that SOME software you find from non-official sources is hacked and will infect your computer

this is risky, as it's no longer supplied by adobe, so you can't 100% trust it, (major geeks and cnet used to be good sources IIRC) but free trial software is generally always supplied as-is (no support given, if it messes up your computer, that's that, etc)... but I will say, CS6 is the best version I've ever had. It's not quite as speedy as CS3, but it's a workhorse, and definitely won't crumble under an animated 8k by 16k image like newer versions would. in my opinion, CS6 would have been unbeatable if there was no RAM preview.

just to add, i'm making 2 apps for vw to use during an auto show. the apps have to run for days.
during stress testing, one of the current animate published apps would crash during stress-testing. on a whim i published the app using cs6 and that app withstood stress testing.
the same app (created with the current animate), with only difference being whether published with cs6 or current cc.

exactly. As much as adobe evangelists hate to admit it, the software just is no longer that functional at a basic level, and has been becoming less so ever since adobe went subscription, and software quality was no longer directly linked to revenue, and it's been that way for so long now that it's bloated, obsolete, adheres to standards from over a decade ago...
but hey you can color keyframe outlines now, or poorly light a basic 3D model
...or use the same placeholder EXR handler effect from 2008 because they never did get around to a native function.

Yes, you can still download and install Creative Suite 6.
The activation servers are still active for After Effects CS6. Instead of Creative Cloud Desktop, activation is managed through Adobe Application Manager.
Be sure to review the system requirements, especially the GPU requirements. Operating system wise, I found that After Effects CS6 ran best under macOS Mavericks 10.9.5 or Windows 7 Pro with Service Pack 1.
Older versions of Creative Suite to avoid would be CS4 and older.

you can't download unless you previously purchased from or registered with adobe (and you're lucky enough to still have a link in the account used to purchase/register).
