Hello all,
I'm having some severe troubles with my brand new pc workstation (Intel(R) Core(TM) i7.7820X CPU @3-60 GHz 8 Cores, 32 GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 Sea Hawk, Windows 10 Pro) that is shutting down (Blue Screen, Stopcode, WHEA UNCORRECTABLE ERROR) almost every time I'm using After Effects CC 2017. It even happened when I opened Photoshop (CC 2017). There is no recognizable reason why Windows crashes, since it happens even when I just open the preferences.
When I installed the latest nvidia drivers (also the cuda_8.0.61_win10) on friday, the system was stable for two days, but this morning it happened again. Since the machine was prepared by professionals and since all specs are okai, I assume the hardware should be fine.
Did anyone of you experienced this error as well? Does anyone have a clue, what I should do? Since I'm currently working on a project and facing tight deadlines, it's vital for me to get After Effects running again.
Thanks for your help
Best regards
SOLUTION!!
-Uninstall "Intel Turbo Boost 3.0" app
-in your BIOS, turn off "TURBO BOOST"
Works for me! Hopefully there will be an update to let us use Turbo boost wit's Adobe CC again soon, but for now, this looks to be our workaround! Let me know if you get the same result!

vinegarshots - I have the option for AVX Offset however the options are Auto and from 0 to 31 however I do not have the option to put a negative value.
I have tried setting it to 0 as that's my lowest value however that too shows the same blue screen error.

Try a value of 5. The offset is a negative value whether or not it shows a - sign.

I have done it and it seems to be sorted as it's been working for a good 15 min without a crash or a blue screen...
Thanks you for the solution...
Hopefully Intel and Adobe will work out a permanent solution for this.

I have a very similar problem as well ! My setup is brand new, windows 10 home 64Bit, msi x299 sli plus /motherboard, Asus GTX 1080/ graficscard, Intel Core i7 7740x/ processor, corsair h100i v2/ cooling, samsung evo 850/ ssd, and an additional hdd from barracuda and a be quiet power supply(850V) bios is on 1.20. Everything was running just fine even indesign but both after effects and photoshop crashed after around 1-2min.
I actually had an issue with the pci simple communication controller ! Did someone have a similar issue ? I had to install the intel management engine after that and thought i solved the problem but no still get the blue screen
i will test disabling Turbo boost now but sounds like it's a shitty solution if you wanna use your processor to the fullest no ?

I am having the same issue with Photoshop constantly crashing BSOD. Specs as below. I have turned off turbo boost and set the AVX offset to 5 as suggested above, which has been an effective work around for now.

x299 i7 7820x system here. InDesign CC 2019 Kept BSODing. It's been doing it for years. I had to buy a Mac Mini just to do ID work.
The change to 5 for the AVX in the Bios fixed it!
My mind is blown. One bios setting... and it works. I'm almost in tears. THANK YOU so much!

Same issue for me also running an i7-7820X. Happens with both illustrator and photoshop. Will try this solution but a fix would be nice.

One of my clever friend (the old overclocker)) advised me to do this:
Go to the BIOS and change the CPU voltage setting. (For Gigabit X299 UD4 motherboard) BIOS / M.I.T./Advanced Voltage Setting / CPU Core Voltage Control / Internal CPU Vcore - set 1.2v instead of "Auto". That's exactly what I did. While everything is working fine. After Effects CC2018 and Premiere CC2018. "Turbo Boost" I did not turn it off.
Try to change this parameter on motherboards of other manufacturers. Perhaps this will help solve the problem.
Attention! Do not forget to monitor the CPU temperature. And install a good CPU cooling.
(Most likely this is an Intel problem, but not Adobe problem.)

Thanks Andreye.
I don't want to disable Intel Turbo Boost and change AVX, so tried your solution firstly.
Seems to work for now.
MSI X299 Xpower Gaming AC
Intel Core i7-7820x
Vcore: Changed from Auto to 1.270
Ring: Changed from Auto to 1.170
Intel Turbo Boost: Enabled (no change)
AVX: Auto (no change)
Fan: Custom settings for more cooling.
Don't forget to monitor your temperatures and modify fan settings if necessary.

I also had the same problem with three x299 rigs. Increasing VCore to 1.20V seems to fix the issue while allowing you to keep Turboboost on, this should be the go-to solution for this issue.

There are two main reasons that cause the BSoD “WHEA UNCORRECTABLE ERROR” in your Windows 10.
Although the error message indicates that it is “uncorrectable”, there are several ways of resolving the error. If you are also facing the whea uncorrectable error overclock error then here are some solutions which can help you in solving this issue.

Yep... Just finished building a x299 i7 7820x system myself. Everything seemed to be running stable, until I got Adobe creative cloud and some other media programs installed. It started sporadically giving BSODs. I got scared my hardware was faulty, but I ran the Intel processor diagnostic and more prime 95 - no issue. I then realized that just by starting premiere, it would BSOD on the loading screen every time. I found this thread, and and I'm grateful I did!
Though for whatever reason my board wouldn't let me change values, gigabyte had a "performance" mode which increased the speed and im assuming voltage.
So far so good! But yes... There is definitely some things to be fixed there

I too have been having the same WHEA UNCORRECTABLE ERROR issue. I just finished building a workstation with an Asus Rampage VI Extreme MB and i9-7940x CPU.
Installed After Effects after getting everything updated with the latest drivers and BIOS and bam! BSOD and stop codes. I uninstalled Turbo Boost 3.0 and shut off Turbo in the BIOS and zero stop codes from then on. However, the system is running slower than before.
This has been going on for months in various forums. Intel, the major MB manufacturers, and Adobe had better put their heads together and figure out what the heck is going on between the new Skylake-X processors, BIOS microcodes, and Adobe products... IMMEDIATELY. Having to disable a major component of your CPU just to work with After Effects, etc. is unacceptable.

Did you try the above solutions of slightly increasing Vcore/processor voltage?
I didn't turn off any turbo boost, but giving it a little extra juice seems to fix it in most cases. I haven't had any BSODs since I gave it a little performance boost.
I haven't installed it yet, but I noticed there's a new beta BIOS for my Gigabyte Motherboard that updates CPU Microcode -- may be something like that for yours as well.

Just wanted to say that increasing my VCore to 1.20V also worked for a 7940X and Gigabyte motherboard. This was driving me crazy after I reset my bios settings.

I can't believe this issue has been going on for this long. I built a new video editing system in Nov. 2017 and had no issues until April of this year. I started getting the BSOD when trying to use Premiere. Especially when trying to apply the warp stabilizer. It causes a crash every time I use it. It's the Whea_uncorrectable_error. I actually sent my motherboard back to ASUS under warranty and they said "NO FAULT FOUND". So that was all for nothing. All the hardware was purchased new. I've run RealBench and also FurMark VGA stress test with no issues. Of course I ran the Intel CPU test, as well as mem test and disk check. After lots of searching, I found this thread and now I see that it's a big issue. I opened a case with Adobe and they haven't really updated me. At first they tried to tell me that my video card was bad. Seems like the typical answer "bad hardware". Even though this has been going on for MONTHS. In the meantime, I have disabled the "TURBO" mode through the BIOS and I have not had any crashes. But I hate to slow down my processor just to work around Adobe's problem. I was going to try to adjust the CPU voltage but not sure where it's at.
ADOBE CAN YOU PLEASE FIX THIS ISSUE????
Here is my system specs:
Intel i9 7920x
EVGA Closed Loop Cooler
Asus Prime x299 Deluxe Mobo
Corsair Dominator Pro DDR 4 64GB
Samsung NVMe2 960 Pro HD
NVidia GTX 1080 video

Yes it is running turbo mode in the BIOS. When I disable turbo mode, the adobe software works fine. But that's not a permanent fix for the problem.

I re read your post...it’s related to turbo boost. Here’s what I
did...disabled it in bios, then rebooted and started all adobe products
...they should start fine. Once started you should be able to start turbo
boost again.

Just had to say I had this exact issue. Changing the VCore to 1.2V fixed the issue for me. Thank you andreye3374094andreye33740940!
I have an X299 Deluxe Mobo and i7-7820X CPU. Didn't change anything else, Turbo Boost still enabled.
