Camera Raw v18.7 brings a range of workflow enhancements and quality improvements designed to help you move through your editing process more efficiently. From faster photo browsing and more consistent exposure across images to greater workspace flexibility, refined editing results, and expanded camera and lens support, this update focuses on making everyday photo editing smoother and more intuitive. What’s NewThe September 2026 release of Adobe Camera Raw brings new ways to speed up photo selection, create consistency across large shoots, and refine your editing workspace. The new Grid view makes it easier to browse and compare large groups of photos in a thumbnail-based layout, helping you quickly identify your best shots, apply ratings, and select multiple images at once. For photographers working with batches of images, Match Exposure can now automatically normalize exposure using capture metadata, with an advanced option that also compensates for changes in light conditions across
Lens Profiles apply to Camera Raw, Lightroom Classic, and the Lightroom Ecosystem products (Desktop, Mobile, and Web). Lens Profiles are available for a wide array of lenses. Not every lens is currently profiled, and of those profiled, not all are profiled for all camera and file types. For example, there may be a profile for a particular lens and camera mount for the raw file but not for the JPEG. Normally, profiles for JPEG are not supplied unless the camera does not apply a correction (e.g. iPhone, GoPro). A complete list of profiled lenses can be found here: https://helpx.adobe.com/camera-raw/kb/supported-lenses.html other helpful info: https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/multi/lens-profile-support.html#Supported_lenses Lens correction for all Micro 4/3 (MFT) lenses and many newer cameras, including Panasonic and Olympus cameras, and other cameras (including Fuji X, Leica Q, and Nikon Z series)plus many point-and-shoot models from Ca
For a complete overview of camera support in Photoshop and Lightroom, visit the following article:Why doesn't my version of Photoshop or Lightroom support my camera? Make sure your version of Photoshop or Lightroom is updated for the latest camera support. If you own an older version of Photoshop or Lightroom, Adobe provides backward compatibility for the latest cameras through the FREE Adobe DNG Converter. Camera-matching Profiles are applicable to Camera Raw, Lightroom Classic, and the Lightroom Ecosystem products (Desktop, Mobile, and Web).Note: Not all cameras will receive camera-matching profiles. This thread is a place to request missing camera-matching profiles for specific models. Please include a complete camera model designation and a list of the specific camera-matching profiles you are requesting in your request. If your camera is already listed in this thread, please reply to the specific camera’s post rather than just posting in-line. Camera-matching profiles are provided for some camera manufacturers and models. As raw support is added for individual camera models, camera-matching profiles for some cameras may be added when raw support is initially offered. Other cameras may see camera-matching profiles added at a later date. It is also possible that a specific camera may see a long delay or perhaps not ever receive a specific camera-matching p
When presented with a New Post screen in the Adobe Community, you are given three options for Conversation Type: Discussion, Bug, and Idea. If you were searching in Discussions, the New Post window will default to Discussions. If you are searching in Bugs, the New Post window will default to Bugs and likewise for Ideas. Many customers instinctually report problems they are experiencing as “Bugs”. It is natural to think that a problem you are having might be a bug. A bug is defined, for our purposes, as “something in the software that is not functioning as it was designed to function”. Interpreting whether a behavior is a bug or not is not always easy, however. Here are some reasons why you might want to consider posting first to Discussions rather than jumping straight to reporting in Bugs: Most items reported as Bugs are not actual bugs. In a typical group of reported bugs, only about 3 out of 25* bugs reported turn out to be actual bugs. Of those, typically 2 ou
Adobe is excited to receive requests for additional features you need to enhance your workflow. What can you do to increase the chances of being heard? Don't use the words "Feature Request" in your post's title. Search for and add to existing feature requests rather than creating duplicates. There is no advantage to creating a second request for any existing feature request. One request per thread! When creating an Idea or Feature Request thread, please keep requests for features to ONE request per thread. Doing this will allow others to vote on a single, specific feature and not confuse Upvotes amongst a list of feature requests. If an Idea thread has multiple requests in it, a moderator may ask you to split the multiple requests up into multiple threads so others can vote. In the event there remain multiple requests on a thread, the first item requested will be the arbiter of where the thread will be cross-referenced or merged. Describe how the featu
Bugs should only be reported for the latest or current version of Camera Raw. If you believe you have a bug it must be verified on the latest version of Camera Raw. New bug reports will not be accepted for older versions of the software. If you believe you have encountered a bug, it is important to first search the existing bugs to see if your issue and a possible solution or workaround have already been reported. If so, please add to that thread. If not, it may be prudent to start a new thread.Greater than 90% of the bugs reported are not actually bugs. Before starting a new thread, please read:P: Do I post in Discussions or Bugs? When logging a new bug report, it's required by the Camera Raw team for the information in the report to include steps to reproduce the bug experience. Once we can reproduce an issue, then we can start to investigate a fix. Bug reports without reproduction steps will be moved to discussions. If, after some troubleshooting, we find
When opening RAW in ACR and using Crop (C) tool from left or right of the image it actually starts moving the GUI rather than cropping the image, not sure what version this has been changed, but before i never had this issue, please make GUI have lock option so when cropping images it would never try to resize GUII understand there is way to aim and select the right resize tool but margin for aim is so little and its waste of time, GUI should be set up once for most people don’t need to constantly be able to resize the side bars of ACR GUI
In the latest version of Camera Raw, some keyboard shortcuts have changed. Previously, you could rotate an image simply by pressing L.Now, however, they’ve switched to the combinations Ctrl + ] and Ctrl + [.I can no longer rotate the image because, to type square brackets on my Italian keyboard layout, I have to press Alt + è or Alt + +. Alternatively, Ctrl + Alt + è or Ctrl + Alt + +. The rotation doesn’t respond to the command. What should I do? It seems it’s also impossible to change the Camera Raw shortcuts. thanks
Lightroom is capable to convert JPGs into DNG. The DNG Converter unfortunately currently is not. Please add JPG support to the Adobe DNG Converter. Thank you very much for considering!
J'ai un problème. Toutes les versions depuis Camera RAW 18.4.1 à la dernière échoue de fonctionner sur ma machine. J'ai une RTX 3070 Ventus, Je suis sur Windows 10 22h2 entièrement à jour. J'ai 32 Go de Ram.
I’m trying to remove the reflection from the shop window (see attached screenshot), but the related tool in Camera Raw seems not work. Any suggestion? Many thanks for helpRoberto
This post applies to Camera Raw and is the primary feedback thread for the Blemish Removal feature. Blemish Removal can be found in the Remove edit panel for Camera Raw. Blemish Removal helps automatically remove distracting skin blemishes, such as acne and other temporary imperfections, while allowing you to tune the appearance of permanent marks, such as freckles and moles. Once enabled, your image will be scanned for people, and any detected blemishes will be automatically removed. For refinement, you can adjust the result using the Amount and Fade sliders, choose which person the removal applies to, and restore any areas you'd prefer to keep. Batch removal is also supported; simply select the "Blemish" checkbox under "Remove" in the copy settings dialog. We would love to hear your feedback on Blemish Removal! Please give it a try and let us know what you think:How is it useful? How could it be more useful? What could we do to improve your experience? Josh Bury, Camera Raw Engineeri
With the new update 18.4.1, it’s now impossible to have an image always cropped to non-transparent pixels. There used to be a checkbox ensuring your photo didn’t have any transparent pixels while making Geometry changes and now it’s replaced with a button. That checkbox was optimal for my workflow. Now the behaviour is a bit odd. If “Enable Expand” is unchecked, it will be cropped to non-transparent pixels only if you’re not doing any Geometry changes. For example the Angle setting will stay within opaque pixels, but Rotate won’t. But it should! Is it a bug or a feature?Today constraining crop is a button in the top right of Crop & Expand. The work I do needs to be fast, and this new feature isn’t. I have to click that button every… single… time because I’m doing Geometry changes all the time. It’s time consuming. The checkbox made sure I always had 100% opaque pixels. No hesitation, the real deal no matter what. While editing Geometry, I knew exactly the outcome of the crop because th

Announcing a new feature now in Adobe Camera Raw (17.2) – Removal of Distracting PeopleUnder the Remove dialog, under Distraction Removal, we have added an item called “People”. This feature supports faster and easier detection and removal of distracting people in an image. It is offered as a Tech Preview in the Adobe Camera Raw Plugin-only and is available now. Please try it out and let us know what works well, what doesn’t work well, and anything that might improve the experience. Thank you! Peter Baust - Dir, Product Management Posted by Rikk Flohr
Camera Raw 18.4 should include a preference to return automatically to "Fit in View" after crop operations. Earlier workflows were faster because the image always returned to the full-screen view after validating a crop. Please add a user preference to choose between preserving zoom level and returning to Fit in View.
I shoot video using the Red Epic camera, which shoots super high resolution video. I often pull high-res photos from the camera and use them in Lightroom. However, I'm hoping to add a feature that supports anamorphic lenses. These lenses shoot natively-stretched pixels. Meaning, the images are stretched vertically 2:1. It's a classic way to shoot movies, and I wish Lightroom supported a way to select the pixel aspect ratio so the images can be viewed undistorted. Currently, I have to stretch them in Photoshop and export. Which is a bummer because the Red Camera's raw files are supported in LR, and I would love to use those files straight from the camera rather than make new ones. Anyone else agree?
I would dearly like to see the Lightroom 4 Beta team implement an additional feature in the final release. That feature would be the ability to take a camera+macro lens image of a B&W negative -- essentially a camera-based scan of a negative -- and invert the negative image to a positive image at the beginning of the development process in such a way that the resulting sliders in the LR4 Develop Module would not operate in reverse. As I understand it, this capability exists in Photoshop, but I don't own Photoshop. I do own Photoshop Elements 9, but that program only supports an 8-bit workflow, not 16-bits per channel, and round-tripping between LR & PSE9 requires the reimportation of a TIFF file that is more than twice the size of my NEF RAW files. Since this programming wizardry already exists in Photoshop, I would think that it would be a relatively simple matter to transfer and adapt that code for LR4 -- but then, I'm not a programmer, so what do I know...I've been digitizin

Adobe Camera Raw 18.5This problem occurs on both Nikon D850 and D500 raw files which have been opened in ACR by right clicking on the files in the Mac finder and selecting open in photoshop. The files have not been previously processed in any way. When I right click on the image in Camera Raw, the option for “Show Autofocus Points” is greyed out and not responsive. I have repeated this with multiple files from both cameras taken using different autofocus modes.I have checked two of the files (one D500, and one D850) in Raw Digger to examine the EXIF data, and both show values for “Focus Position” (0x11 on a D500 file) and “AF Points in Focus” (E9 on the same file), so this metadata information should be available to Camera Raw.Are these cameras supposed to be supported by this feature? Adobe’s documentation says nothing about what cameras are supported.I watched a video today showing someone using this feature (although with a different camera’s files), so I know that I was looking a
After upgrading to 15.4, several, but not all, of my hdr pano photos report the above error, along with “The file appears to be unsupported or damaged”. Restored these “damaged” photos from versioned backup on Backblaze from versions several months old and still received the error. Reverted to 15.3.1 and these files no-longer show the error. So, 15.4-->Broken; 15.3.1-->Working
Hi, using latest Lightroom Classic on MacOS 26. I have found that sometimes LRC gets confused about the exposure. I have a two image example where the images are exposed exactly the same but the resulting pano is messed up. One half of the resulting pano is exposed correctly, the other half is light. I've only seen this in iPhone RAW HDR images. The one I kept was from Apple Camera but I've also seen it using Project Indigo camera. On the Indigo forum, another person was complaining about pano issues (black bars ending up in panos). I've also seen this issue and have example RAW images.https://community.adobe.com/t5/lightroom-ecosystem-cloud-based-discussions/p-introducing-the-project-indigo-camera-app/m-p/15440106/page/21#M106426I tried attaching example files but that failed. How can I get images to the Lightroom team? [moved from bugs to discussions according to the community rules - Mod.]
