Greetings all,

A new update for the Adobe Photography products has been released.  The August update contains an update regarding this issue.

If you do not see the update in your Creative Cloud Application, you can refresh it by pressing  [Ctrl/Cmd]+[Alt/Opt]+[ R ].

Note: It may take up to 24 hours for your update to be available in your Creative Cloud app.

Thank you for being so patient.

@Julie Kmoch  Yes I would be interested as long as I can revert back if something doesn't go well. At this point Lightroom classic is basically unusuable for me.

LorieLynPhotographybeccamathias - I've asked a colleague to invite you to the Lr Classic prerelease program.

clwilken, you should be hearing from Rikk for the Lr desktop one.

I'm having this issue with the latest version, is there any updates to this yet? Having to export every single file is just not possible for the way I do business. Can we use the non ai remove tool? or just revert to old lightroom?

Hi, I'm using Lr Classic 15.0.1 on a M5 macbook pro.

When i export some pictures with an AI remove correction, in the exported file i can't see any object removed.
I need to click AI Edit Status, re-wait for the correction and re-export. and this for any single pictures i've adjusted.

Can You help me?

Hi @Pieropausin, welcome to the community!
Could you share a bit more about the issue? If possible, please include a screenshot of what your file looks like after export, along with the full Lightroom Classic window. That will help us take a closer look.
Do you see any error messages? Also, does the “Update AI settings” message only appear after exporting, or do you notice it even when switching between images?
One thing you can try is rebuilding your AI settings. To do that, close the app, move the .lrcat-data file from your catalog folder to another location, and then relaunch the app. It should prompt you to rebuild that file, and you’ll need to update the AI settings again. If this works, your AI edits should stick.
Thanks!
Alek

LRC has been so glitchy, it's painful to use. I'm truly questioning WHY I pay for this... I have a Windows computer.

When I export an image, it takes FOREVER. Then, (if the program actually allows me to export), I am told there were errors when I attempt to export the image, and the AI needs to be updated. Sometimes it doesn't save the image appropriately, and I lose EVERYTHING I've done.  I am currently only using JPEGS. I'm sure the issues will be even worse if I attempt to use a RAW file.  I also do not have a "LIBRARY" or "DEVELOP" module.  This is unacceptable.

Having the same issue in macOS. When exporting an image that uses a "object" mask, the same error comes up saying some images where exported using obsoletes AI masks. Painfull.

Hola!

Hi @mauriciom19406950, welcome to the community!
Could you share a bit more about the issue? For example, which exact version of Lightroom are you using, and what file format are you working with?
You can find some helpful ways to batch denoise in the newest Lightroom updates here:

When I use the AI removal tool, it looks great in Lightroom Classic. When I go to export, however, it turns the area into a pixelated rectangle. I can't figure out how to fix this. I've been using this tool for months and haven't had this problem. I've attached screenshots showing what it's doing.Screenshot 2025-11-26 at 8.59.18 AM.pngScreenshot 2025-11-26 at 8.56.23 AM.png
