Photoshop (Beta)

I'm running the latest available update of Photoshop Beta (27.4.0) on Windows 11. Starting with the last 2 or 3 updates, the contextual text bar disappears at random times. I've tried the suggested ways of restoring it, but nothing works other than shutting down & restarting Photoshop. I've never had this problem until the last few updates.

I would like to share feedback about the installation behavior of Photoshop Beta on macOS.I install Photoshop Beta for one reason: to test new and experimental features. I do not install it as a replacement for the stable release of Photoshop. However, after installing or updating Photoshop Beta, it appears to take over file associations that were previously assigned to the regular Photoshop application. As a result, image files that I intentionally configured to open with Photoshop suddenly start opening with Photoshop Beta instead.This is frustrating for several reasons.First, Photoshop Beta is, by definition, a testing environment. I want to try new features there selectively, not have it become my primary production app for day-to-day work. The stable version and the beta version serve different purposes, and Adobe should respect that distinction.Second, on macOS there is no simple central screen where users can restore all file-type associations at once. When I choose “Export as” from the file menu, or rightclick in the layers panel to export a layer, the window that pops up for exporting just says “An unknown error occurred” and I cannot select anything.  I just updated to beta 27.4.0, and this seems to be happening on every document. This also only seems to be happening if I have “Use Legacy Export As” Selected under preferences?  I need the legacy mode to be enabled considering Adobe made some weird changes to how their PNG8 exporting works at some point, I need the legacy version to preserve the alpha channel on those.It still does Quick Export to PNG correctly, even if I have both “Legacy mode” and “export as 8bit” on the Quick Export as PNG option, so it at least seems like file type that isn’t part of the issue. No idea what is though. Extra note, I saw someone with a similar problem where theirs freezes when they switch to JPG, so it might be good to note that my dialog window is defaulting to JPG momentarily before the error p

In Adobe Photoshop, the updated Canvas Size dialog fails to record relative dimensions when recording an Action. This works correctly in 27.3.1 (Release), but is broken in 27.4.0 (Beta). Steps to reproduce Open any document. Create a new Action (in the Actions panel). Click Record. Go to Image → Canvas Size… Change the units to millimeters (mm). Switch the size mode from Absolute to Relative. Enter values: Width: X mm Height: Z mm Click OK to apply. When testing the generative rotate tool, I get the following error:  

Photoshop (Beta) 27.5Windows 11When I am cleaning up scratches and dirt, the program will suddenly stop as if I had selected cancel and didn’t have any changes, but Bridge stops in the meantime.  I am working on a .tif file.  I can’t make a screenshot because it doesn’t do it consistently, and it doesn’t do every time.  Besides, when it does go away, there isn’t any photo left. It does this in Beta and the regular Photoshop 27.4.  I have been having to keep selecting ‘Done’ after I clean up three or four scratches because if I do more, it suddenly disappears.  And then I have to start over with Bridge that also stopped.  Although it has happened before, not like it does now.  I can’t even get one photo done because it is doing that consistently.  I should be able to clean up the whole image before I have press ‘Done’ and have the whole image cleaned up.  I have been doing this for a number of years, but it has had this problem for about a month now.  The problem might be in Bridge beca

Wenn ich ein Bildfläche für “Generieren und Füllen” markiere und anschließend “firefly fill  & expand” wähle, wird für längere Zeit das normale Arbeitsfenster von Firefly sichtbar. Dann jedoch erscheint die Nachricht “Der Dienst reagiert nicht.Überprüfe Deine Internetverbindung.” (siehe Attachment).Diese Überprüfung meiner Internet-Verbindung ergibt jedoch jedesmal ein OK.Wenn ich anschließend (als Notlösung) eine frühere Version von Firfly auswähle, funktioniert es dann ohne weiteres Problem.Die Fehler bei “firefly fill  & expand” jedoch  treten nun unverändert  bereits gut ein Monat lang auf.Vielen Dank für die Mühe, hier eine Lösung zu finden.= Thomas Wittmann =

Adobe Photoshop Version: 27.5.0 20260314.m.3457 1720e4b  x64 (beta, PublicBeta)Windows 10Steps:Select something with the marquee tool, or other selection tool click “Select Inverse” in the contextual task bar use the brush tool on the selection try to press crtl + z or other keyboard shortcuts it doesn’t work! for some reason!I wanted to type out a more detailed description with more examples but I somehow submitted this before I was done typing. This has actually been happening for a while but I just was ignoring it.I cannot figure out how to consistently get the keyboard shortcuts working again other than waiting for a while and clicking seemingly random things on the screen. 

When I isolate an object to rotate and chose Edit/Rotate Object the layer turns blank. Trying with different images and settings always results in the same blank layer. Sounds like a great feature, but I have not gotten it to work.

My photoshop Beta app froze while running the generative expand. I closed out the program with the task manager, but now when i reopen it, it launches a recovered image trying to use the generative expand and freezes again. I tried uninstalling, powering off the computer, looked for temporary files and can't get nothing to work. What can I do?

I am having an adobe premium subscription plan. But Beta tab is not available in my CC Desktop app. Tried reinstalling the app still it’s not there.

Is the new photoshop beta rotate 2D image asset after rotating a 3d Gaussian splat? Also what upscaler are you using after?

No matter what portrait I use I can not get select subject to pick out the model from the image.It uses to have no problem before but I have noticed all I ever get now is an error message. I know this image maybe a bit difficult but I have previously successfully a lot harder.,

I’ve downloaded the 27.5 beta version of Photoshop, and I’ve tried using Ctrl+T to get a bar at the bottom—that doesn’t work. I do see the rotation option in the Properties panel, and that works fine. However, the Harmonize button, which I’ve seen in some videos, is not available. Do I need to enable something else? It seems to be missing, or there may be a reason for it.

I open image and duplicate layer. select all, type prompt “Change style to black and white graphic novel” it replaces my image entirely in graphic novel style. 

I could not find photoshop beta in my creative cloud desktop app on my PC.I happened to find a simple solution:go to adobe.com/apps. It look just like the creative cloud desktop app if you're logged in, and I found the beta photoshop there. But here's a question: I see 9 beta apps there. On my desktop creative cloud app, I see only one - Illustrator Beta. Any idea why or how to fix it?
