P: Gemini and Flux generative fill not working in Photoshop 27, Progress bar stuck

Just updated to latest version of Photoshop, version 27.0.0 on Windows. For some reason generative fill using either Gemini or Flux Kontext Pro is not working. 

 

I make a selection

In the contextual task bar I click on Generative Fill

I select either Gemini or Flux

I type a prompt (can literally be anything)

 

Photoshop shows the progress bar and it creates the Generative Fill layer. But at like 50/75% of progress the progress bar suddenly disappears and the generative fill layer also is gone. No errors, no crashes, just .. as if it never happened. Firefly generation works just fine. I have tried different images, from scratch, different prompts. It doesn't matter, the 3rd party generative options simply do not work for me. I have also installed the Photoshop beta just in case, and that has the same issue unfortunately.

 

What can be the cause? Is there some place where I can check logs for any possible errors?

Hey, @Rav052024WhLED@AKS666 & @joanng63524557. Thanks for adding the comments and details. I reviewed the account you've used to log in and found two profiles, one with an active subscription.

 

There are a few layers to this:

1 - If an IT team manages the device, ensure all the Adobe Network endpoints are whitelisted: https://adobe.ly/3STmkga

2 - You can also try using Photoshop Web (https://adobe.ly/3WkhVFm) on a different/alternate device & internet network to rule out if it's a network iss

Hi @joanng63524557

 

I checked your account and found that you’re on a customized Teams plan with a low credit limit of just 10 credits. Since Nano Banana and Flux Kontext require higher credit usage, try using the basic Firefly model to see if that works. If yes, I recommend reaching out to your admin to request additional credits.

why is it not working in the suite for teams ???
i am the administrator and i dont finde tools to activate!!!

I contacted my adminstrator team. They are still in the process of evaulating this AI features from Photoshop. They think this may be a risk in exposing company's server becaue it requires to open up some firewall ports.

So, everything is working now. My boss found the setting to allow 3rd party AIs... ^^

Maybe it would be good to show an error message instead of just make the AI not work. That's why people come to the forum ranting. 😉
