Whats with CC2019 asking for driver updates when everything is already the latest versions.

FYI, there are new GPU-acceleration requirements for CUDA and Metal in Premiere Pro 13.0 (CC 2019). More information can be found at: Important information on GPU-acceleration with CUDA and Apple Metal | Adobe Blog

Hope this helps.

Thank you Trent. That link was exactly what I was looking for.

"to realize the performance benefits of Apple’s Metal graphics acceleration, the 2019 versions of the Adobe video apps will need to run on either macOS 10.13 (High Sierra) or the recently launched 10.14 (Mojave). You can still run our apps on macOS 10.12 using OpenCL graphics acceleration, but Metal provides 15-20 percent faster rendering and we therefore recommend it for optimum performance"

This is ridiculous. And users are being forced into using High Sierra or Mojave to benefit from METAL. Both High Sierra and Mojave are unstable in my opinion. High Sierra was simply a filler until Mojave arrived and as most have seen the majority of users using CC2019 in conjunction with Mojave are having issues. I will wait until Mojave matures and until then will remain on openCL. As far as I know those on METAL have not seen significant performance gains compared to the issues they have been experiencing.

Apple: Patch please

Adobe: Patch please
