Adobe Community Expert of the Month — Eric Addison
Eric Addison is our featured Adobe Community Expert for digital video and audio this month. I asked Eric to tell us some things about himself, and he wrote this:
Hi, I’m Eric Addison, an editor/director/cinematographer based in San Diego, California. I’ve been an Adobe user for a long time, editing with Premiere Pro since it was just Premiere. At my production company, 100 Acre Films, I use it for all my client projects—everything from commercials to short corporate documentaries, training and marketing videos, and an increasing amount of social media content as well.
When not working, I’ve edited a number of short films for others, including my own. My last short film, The Ride, played at several festivals around the country, and I’m preparing to shoot and edit my next one later this year. Additionally, I’ve got three short films from others lined up to edit this summer.
In 2009, I started the San Diego Premiere Pro User Group, and it’s been a lot of fun to run the group. I’ve met a lot of great people through the group, both attendees and presenters, over the years. I really enjoy helping others become better editors and improving their skills with Premiere Pro. Through the group, I try to expose people to differing workflows, new or alternative techniques, and tips and tricks for working faster and staying creative. Contributing to the production & post-production communities both locally and abroad is something I believe is important, so I do my best to help as much as I can. You can view some of our past user group meetings on our YouTube channel, @sandiegopremiereprousergroup. And you can find me on X - @ericaddison.
