You can easily split captions in transcript. enable an exact transfer from transcript to captions.
The screenshots show that the transcript and captions do not match. It cannot be converted automatically.
This function would make CC WAY easier to control with less time.
The way social media is now, CC is extremely important.

It might help if we knew what settings you used for the caption creation (min duration, single/double line, etc).

I agree that your logic makes sense, but we don't know the word by word timings that PR is looking at when the captions are created.
