Go to Edit>Preferences>Display & Cursors. At the bottom, one can adjust the scale factor. There is an admonition that @200% some items may be cut off.

Are there any error messages? Over the years, have you installed PSE2014 on two computers? If so, did you sign out via the help menu on your old laptop? The license is for installation on two machines.

Are you on the Quick tab in PSE? I have PSE2024 and it works perfectly. I even tried it on a color photo which I first converted to b/w via the Advanced tab (Enhance>adjust color>remove color) and it worked. Try resetting preferences to default. Go to Edit>Preferences>General>reset preferences on next launch.

That's a pretty old version of the software. Do you have the correct disk for your machine, i.e. Windows disk for Windows, Mac disk for Mac? You may want to consider this misadventure as an opportunity. Download the free 30-day trial of PSE 2024. This will enable you to finish ypur project in a timely manner. If you like the current version, purchase the license subsequently. Please review this for additional info. Download older versions of Adobe apps

What is the resolution of these "desaturated" files? Also, go to Image>Mode and be sure that RGB color is checked. When printing one of your files, have either PSE or the printer manage colors, not both.

This is a public forum that is not intended for e-mail replies, although private messaging is enabled. I always print via the Editor. The print engines in Organizer & Editor are not the same. The assumption here is that your printer can print borderless, and that this feature is enabled. in the printer. Let us assume that you wish to print a picture on 4x6" paper. Click on this option in the print dialog. This picture should be cropped by you (with the crop tool) to 4x6". You are sending a 4x6" picture to be printed on 4x6" paper..

Go to C drive>Program Files (x86)>Adobe>Photoshop Elements 11.0 Right click on this and in the contextual menu select Send to deskton(create shortcut.) In order to open a picture file in PSE directly, right click on the file, and in the contextual menu go to open with Adobe Photoshop Elements 11. Hope that this works for you.

The burn tool does not work well for this purpose. For example, if you have a picture of someone with blond hair, the tool fails if you wish to make the hair red. In order to accomplish this, I would make a selection of the hair, place the "hair" on a separate layer, open a hue/saturation adjustment layer above the "hair" layer & link these 2 layers (press CTRL+ G). In the dialog that opens, click the "colorize" box, and work the sliders. Feel free to post your picture so that we may provide targeted guidance.

Try plugging your printer directly into your computer with a cable. Also, go on the web site of the manufacturer of the printer and download/install the latest driver & firmware.

One can do it manually. 1. Open the Editor, Advanced tab. 2. Go to File>new> blank file, and set the dimensions according to your paper stock. For resolution, it is desirable to have it in the 240-300 px/in range. Ideally the picture files should be in this range as well. If they are not, you can batch process multiple files via File>Process multiple files in order to adjust the resolution. 3. Do the math, and crop your pictures so that they will fit on the canvas (from step #2) 4. Go to File>place and point to your pictures, and place. Each one will come in on a separate layer, and you arrange them to suit and make minor size adjustments with the corner handles. 5. It sounds more complicated that it is, but you have 100% control of the process.

This is a user-to -user forum, not Adobe corporate. According to several posts here, Adobe no longer reactivates older versions of the software on a new machine. I agree: the adaptive response to reality if to purchase PSE2024.

There have been several posts recently about reactivating an old version of the software on a new machine. Try contacting Adobe directly for this purpose. The posters have not had much luck according to the reports. You may have to purchase the 2024 version. Much has changed since PSEv.9.

Bent, The bracket keys are next to the letter P on my keyboard. Google "How to set up computer keyboard shortcuts." You will get several hits, but I don't know if they will work on your Norwegian keyboard. In PSEv.2024, open a picture file, and activate the brush tool. On the tool's option bar at the bottom, click on "Tool Options". This will provide access to sliders for size & opacity.
