Hi, I'm looking for a filter plugin that comes close to replicating the Tiffen Smoque effect. I know Tiffen used to produce a plug-in library of over 2,000 filter effects but I think they discontinued it. I used to use Nik when it was free and may purchase it once more but I'm not sure that covers lens effects. Any alternatives to the original Tiffen plugin people could recommend? TIA ... View more

Hi, When recording an interview I use the camera's audio to sync two independent lav mic tracks, one for each talent. At the moment I manually go through the two tracks, slicing out audio from track one when track two speaks, and vice versa. Occasionally there is overlap but on the whole this works. However, a one hour interview can take many hours to edit.   Is there a way of autoducking two people in conversation using two independent audio tracks? I figured there has to be a much easier way to do this than my current methodology.   I appreciate ducking normally refers to music but in this instance there is no music, only two people in conversation. Hi,   I import four mp3 stems and place them in my timeline. They all work ok. When I exit out of Pr and come back in, Pr has dropped one of the stems (greyed out missing footage). The other three stems in the same folder are unaffected. I can't 'replace footage' by locating the file from the same directory. Instead, I have the place the same file in a new folder and 'replace footage' that way. There is nothing wrong with these files, they play fine on first import, fine in other audio apps, and fine once replaced from a different location.   When I exit Pr again, it does the same thing. Now I can't 'replace footage' from either of those two locations and have to put it in a third folder. And so it continues...   I have deleted my media cache directory. I'm running Pr 23.1.0 (build 86). NVIDEA Studio Graphics driver is up to date (528.24). This problem first started a couple of versions ago. ... View more

Hi,   I have my asset folders organised according to date, so: 2021_12_01-seascape 2021_12_02-mountainhike ... and so on. These all sit in a root folder and cover a number of years.   I want to create a Smart Collection of all .dng and .orf files from the year 2021. Short of adding these indidually, is there a way of creating this Smart Collection and filtering the root folder by both date range and two different file types?   Is there a way of finding files by a date range? I have tried to find files using Date Created but cannot work out the boolean for a date range. Selecting 'is greater than or equal to' on the date 01/01/2021 doesn't work. I tried 'is greater than 01/01/2021' and it's still pulling in results from 2020, 2019 ete. The screenshot below shows the criteria 'is .dng and is from 1st Jan 2021 onwards', but underneath is indexing a folder from 2018:     Furthermore, even if I work out a date range I cannot use a combination of 'if any criteria is met' and 'if all criteria is met'. That is, I cannot work out how to find files that are either .dng or .orf, all of which have a creation date of 2021.   The only solution I can think of currently is to run a search across the entire root folder and then filter that search by date . However my root contains many years and would be churning away for literally hours. Alternatively, I go through each 2021 folder and add them separately, but that's also labour intensive. Since this latest update every export of my standard 1080HD videos is getting random drops in the audio. This happens at different points in the video and is not related to any specific file. A different export will produce a different point at which the audio drops. There is nothing new in the kind of files I'm using (a mix of GH5, GoPro and Sony), all of which are not corrupted.   Does anyone else have similar issues and, if so, how can I go about troubleshooting this? It's destroying my workflow and essentially preventing me from producing usable videos.   I'm running 22.0.0 on Windows 10, 32GB RAM AMD Ryzen 7 2700X Eight-Core Processor 3.70 GHz. Hi, I'm running the latest Pr 22.0.0. and Audition 22.0.0.96 on a PC, AMD Ryzen 7 2700X Eight-Core Processor 3.70 GHz, 32GB RAM, NVIDIA GEForce RTX 2070 with the latest graphic drivers.   Since doing the latest update to 2022 I am getting random general errors when right-clicking a clip in Premiere and selecting 'Edit clip in Adobe Audition'. This first started happening with GoPro footage so I thought this was specific to those clips, but it turns out it is happening completely randomly on my GH5 and Sony A7C footage as well. When I say 'random', I just managed to edited my first clip without issue, moved onto the next clip and this error occurs.     I have never seen this before and have never had problems with any of my footage from any of my cameras before. The files are not corrupt as they open and play OK within Premiere and other apps. I have already re-installed Audition but since there is no error code to look into, I am at a loss as to what to do next.   Any tips on what to do next? ... View more

Hi,   I'm running the latest Pr 22.0.0. on a PC, AMD Ryzen 7 2700X Eight-Core Processor 3.70 GHz, 32GB RAM, NVIDIA GEForce RTX 2070 with the latest graphic drivers.   I'm importing 4K HLG clips from my Sony A7C onto a rec709 timeline and am getting the blown-out error on my clips. I have ticked Display Color Management in my Preferences but when I try to select Clip/Modify, Interpret footage is greyed out.   If I check the Properties of the clip it says "Color Space Override: Off". My understanding is that if this clip cannot have the color management applied, Color Space Override won't even appear, so it seems to be recognising the clip as valid, but won't turn on the override.   The only work-around is to create a new sequence and change the working colour space to Rec 2100 HLG, but all this allows me to do is add my HLG LUT in an adjustment layer the old-fashioned way, and the Interpret Footage is still greyed out. And since I am mixing the Sony footage with other cameras this doesn't work for me as I work in rec709.   The only other thing I can do is run every clip through Catalyst Browse but since you can't batch stabilise, this will take hours to complete and is not the solution I am looking for.     [edit] I read somewhere else to remove the clip from the timeline before doing trying 'Interpret Footage'. I tried this and although it allows me to set Color Space Override (and add a LUT), the resulting footage looks exactly the same when placed back on the rec709 timeline.   Does anyone know how to either force Color Space Override to 'On', or to enable Interpret Footage on HLG clips, and mix them onto a rec709 timeline?   TIA ... I have to connect to the internet via cellphone hotspot. The cheapest data packages are daily packages at 1GB or 2GB. This means that if an Adobe download comes anywhere close to these size limits I have to top up my data package.   The problem is that when I buy a new package I have to refresh my hotspot. When I do this, Creative Cloud loses connection and my update download is reset to zero. If I'm not careful I can end up downloading half an update multiple times, which uses three or four times the data required for a single download. In SE Asia I suspect most Adobe users connect in the same way and have the same issue.   Why doesn't Creative Cloud save the download? Why can't it resume half a download like other applications? Surely the download can be done in packets, to be assembled once the download is complete? ... View more

I'm running Ps 22.3.0 and the latest Camera Raw. Enhance (super resolution) is available on my raw images when I first open them in Camera Raw, but if I edit the resulting image in Ps and then select Filter/Camera Raw filter to open Camera Raw for further editing, Enhance is no longer available. Also, if I open a panorama of 9 stitched images, stitched in Lightroom and opened in Ps, and then select Filter/Camera Raw filter, Enhance is not available.  I thought Enhance was available for any jpg, not just raw. Hi, I'm using Photoshop to create a LUT. I'm importing a screen grab of the raw image from my video footage into photoshop and then applying a Color Lookup Table layer and applying a rec709 LUT. I'm then adding a Levels layer, selecting Auto Options, and applying the first three algorithms to replicate Auto Tone/Contrast/Color. This gives me a good result.   When I then File/Export/Export Color Lookup Tables I select the .cube option (I've tried the others too) and import the LUT into Premiere, the settings I created in Photoshop aren't saved.   I've tried saving in medium and maximum quality, tried different lut types (cube etc) and tried saving it to my Lumetri folder, but every time it is ignored.   [Edit] Just on a whim I tried loading my LUT back into Photoshop and it says there is an error loading the 3D LUT because of a problem using the Adobe Color Engine.   I am using Windows 10, Ps 21.1.0   What am I doing wrong? ... I picked up this static from my mic, which gradually decreases throughout the clip. Unfortunately at the beginning, it's pretty bad so I'm looking for a way to reduce it.   https://followtheboat.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/static.mp3    I have tried capturing a noise print and tried Noise Reduction and Adaptive Noise Reduction without any success, which could be on me for not getting the settings right.
