Playing high frame rate video in slow motion?

how do you get video shot at a high frame rate to play back in slow motion in the timeline? thanks.

My puppet designed in AI has separate layers for the arms. 1. When in the Timeline, sometimes I am able to click and drag on each arm and sometimes I am not able to. What needs to be done to make sure I can always drag on the arms? 2. When recording I can move one arm at a time. How would you record an animation where the puppet is moving both arms at the same time? Thanks.

Thanks so much for your patience. I guess I am having a hard time because I am use to the concept of keyframing and it is difficult for me to grasp this performance style. I finally got it to work, though I am still not clear on a few things. 1. My title clip also recorded the Eye Gaze, Face, and Lip Synch sub layers. Is there a way to not record these, or should I just delete them? 2. When I right click on the bar, I do not get any blend mode options? Where specifically are you right clicking on the bar? 3. I also want to add some movement while it is scaling; so maybe it starts from the bottom of the screen and moves up while scaling up. I tried adding a dot to position Y at the very beginning of the clip, changed the y value, hit record for a few seconds, stopped it, though it didnt work and now it is no longer displaying the scale effect. What is the right way to add a position effect along with the scale? Thanks for your help!

Here is where I am confused. After following the steps nothing animated. 1. What is the point of setting scale to 0 and then pressing red dot next to it And then set scale to 100% before recording? Or am I misunderstanding? 2. Im assuming I misunderstanding, so I did this still with no luck: - kept red dot disabled - set scale to 0 - hit record - waited a few seconds - set scale to 100 - hit record again this also didn’t work... thanks for for your patience!

Where do you set it to 6000pt? Do you mean when setting up the document/artboard you set it to points and not pixels? If so, why not pixels? Thanks.

I'm finally getting around to trying this - I import my .AI made title/puppet into the Timeline - I go to the Properties and set the scale to 0% - I click the red dot next to scale and enter 200% 1. What do you mean by "Record that for a few seconds then stop the recording." What is it recording? do you mean to simply leave it alone for the duration you want it to tween and click on the red dot next to scale again? 2. I've keyframed in Premiere where you add a starting keyframe and go to the end and transform the item and it tweens it, does it not work this way? Thanks.

I want to create a Character Animator video for 1920x1080. I am creating titles and artwork in Illustrator. 1. Should I make the artboards 1920x1080 for titles and other artwork that will be imported into a 1920x1080 Character Animator file, or does it not matter? Can a title that only takes up a small portion of a 1920x1080 size that is made in Illustrator be sized up or down in Character Animator, or is that a bad idea? 2. Does Character Animator keep the Illustrator file as vector or does it convert it to bitmap on import? Thanks.

1. For clarification, are the blue overlayed areas on the photo indicating clipped parts of the blacks? 2. Generally, if the detail in the black areas that is showing as clipped is not key to the photo, do you just ignore it? 3. If I'm happy with the overall exposure of the photo, what would you do to bring back some of the detail in the black/clipped areas? Is the adjustment brush the only real option here? Thanks.

I am using Mac and when I try to import the presets I am unable to because the Library is hidden by default. If I open my user folder and press option I'm able to see it, though this doesn't work when trying to get the Library to display via LR. Anyone know how this is done? Thanks.

How are files with solid black backgrounds consisting of things such as sparkles or smoke made? Are these generally photos of real sparkles or smoke that are brought into Photoshop to turn the backgrounds black? Are they somehow computer generated? Curious because I'd like to design some if possible. Thanks.

I'm adding different photos as layers into portraits to be used as either background skies or just textures and I want to adjust the blending modes to blend them in and mask out the parts I don't need. What should I look for in my source portrait files and the sky/textures files to determine if they will be a good fit? Are there any general guidelines regarding which blending mode works better for which type of photos? Thanks

I have three layers; a background layer and two texture layers above it. I want to create an adjustment layer above both texture layers and clip it to both texture layers. I only see an option in the adjustment layer properties to clip it to the layer beneath it. How can I do this? Thanks.

For clarification: 1. I can install LR on all three of my devices, though I can only be logged into LR on two of the devices at a time? 2. If so, this means that I will just need to log out of LR on one device prior to logging into LR on another device? 3. If so, in the case of LR, does it delete the presets when you log out? I currently subscribe to CC through one account though I am going to switch to another account that will be paid for through work. 1. My Mac has CC2018 under the old account. Should I delete all the applications and start over, or just log out of the Adobe CC program and re-login with the new account? 2. Does it automatically delete preferences, saved settings, etc. when logging out and into a new account? 3. I have an iMac, MacBook Pro and Surface Pro and I am trying to decide which devices to install on. I currently have it on both of my Macs, though I am thinking of putting PS, LR and AI on the Surface Pro. Can I install on 3 devices with the license and just use one device at a time? Thanks.

I exported a video at 1080p YouTube that ended up being1.3gb. It’s a bit larger than I’d like so I reexported at 720p YouTube. The 720p file is exactly the same size. This doesn’t seem to make sense. Any suggestions for how I can get the file size down? Ideally, I’d like it at 1080. Thanks.

I'm still using 7.2 because it is the most recent version that IT at my work has updated to and I will not be able to update for several weeks (my update privileges are unavailable on my computer). 1. Is there a way to use the new format .xmp presets with my version of LR? 2. Should folders of presets be copied into the User Preset folder OR should I copy the individual presets out of the folder ad into the User Preset folder? 3. Some presets I drag into the User Preset folder do not display after rebooting LR. Any suggestions for common issues that may cause this? Thanks.

I want to take the first image, use Divide in Pathfinder, then delete the part of the circle that extends beyond the square. However, when doing this, the stroke from the square is not the same over the portion where the circle was. How can I get the stroke to match the size of the rest of the square? Thanks.

I want to change colors in my photos and I am experimenting with doing this with the tone curve, the Color panel, split toning, and under Camera Calibration. Are these all just different ways of doing the same thing, OR are there reasons to sometimes use some vs. the others? I want to make sure that I keep skin tones looking natural. Thanks.
