Hey Alec! To apply Auto Reframe, you have to select the clip first that you're trying to reframe. Does that help you get your images set up correctly?

Is this media that you filmed using your iPhone 13? If so, try going to the Settings app on your phone. Then go to the Camera settings and open "Formats" and switch to "most compatible." Videos should import after that. If you didn't use your iPhone to film the clip, what did you use?

Hi annelise, are you using HDR footage by chance? If you're on an iPhone, you can go to the Settings app, go to Camera, and disable HDR recording from there. That should prevent future videos from importing strangely into Rush. Let us know if this doesn't work!

You could also try launching Rush from a new user account! Here's how to do that on PC: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/create-a-local-user-or-administrator-account-in-windows-10-20de74e0-ac7f-3502-a866-32915af2a34d For the preference file, you can locate it on your PC here C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Premiere Rush\[version number] Rename the version number (2.0, for example) to "2.0old" then launch Rush! That will manually reset the app.

Hi David! Is this video HDR? Only our pro video apps have HDR support at the moment and because of that, I've seen the colors act pretty wild in other apps where HDR is not yet supported. Let us know

Hi there! Have you tried exporting to different locations? Did you untwirl the "quality settings" on the share page and adjust the settings to something other than "Automatic"? I wonder what's happening at 76% in your project. Is there a graphic, text, or effect there that we could remove as a test? Thanks!

Sorry to see this! Have you already tried the basic steps like signing out of your Youtube account from inside of Rush, then signing back in? Sometimes it will help if you remove the permission on Google and then re-connect it. What kind of computer did you upgrade to?

In the latest release of Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Media Encoder, we have updated the way we create QuickTime DNxHD files. Here is a brief overview of those changes, as well as a history of updates to DNxHR files. In the fall of 2020, we made significant changes to our support for DNx media. These changes included bug fixes and additional functionality, such as support for 12-bit DNxHR 444, and brought us up-to-date with the latest DNx specification from Avid. The downside to doing this was that DNxHR media that was made in this new version of our apps could not be used with older versions. At the time, we were able to avoid making similar changes to DNxHD, and DNxHD files created with new versions still worked with old versions. But... (you knew there was a "but" coming, right?) After we made the changes, our friends at Avid told us that there were problems with the files we were creating – our DNxHD output was not working properly in the current version of Avid Media Composer. To fix that, we needed to make some more changes. Unfortunately, those changes affect the DNxHD workflow that we hoped to leave untouched. So here's the scoop on DNxHD files starting in the v22.3 release of Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Media Encoder. QuickTime DNxHD media generated in v22.3 or later will not be compatible with previous versions of our products – those files will be imported as audio-only. DNxHD SQ Thin Raster and DNxHD LB can no longer be exported with an alpha channel The way we create alpha channel information has changed, so the interface has changed. QuickTime DNx alpha options are now "None" and "Compressed" We fixed a bug where some Avid DNx media generated by newer versions of Avid Media Composer would import into our products as audio-only. If your DNx media from Avid imports as audio-only, please message me here on the Community or reach out to us on Twitter.com/adobecare DNxHD output from the 22.3 release and later will no longer work in the older versions of Avid Media Composer. We recommend either updating your version of Avid Media Composer or moving to a DNxHR workflow. Hope this information helps you keep track of your workflow. Hey Robert! Let's take a look. One of the things we can do to improve it is to go to the Share page where you choose all your export settings, then untwirl the Advanced Settings menu, then change the export setting from "Automatic" to one of the other options. To fix this issue in future projects, go to the Settings app on your iPhone, then scroll down to the Camera settings, then scroll all the way down to the bottom and disable Smart HDR recording. You can also scroll back up to the top of the Camera settings, select "Formats" and change the setting to "Most Compatible" which will help Rush display your image more accurately. Let us know if changing the export settings gets you a better color result!

Hey EdwardM! Are you on a Mac or a PC? If you export your image from Illustrator as a PNG it should import to Rush without a problem. Here's what I'd try: - Check the color space of your file in Illustrator, make sure it's in RGB and not CMYK - Save your PNG logo file to different locations onto your computer and see if it will import from there

Hey Droubler! You can tell your phone to stop creating HEIC files if you go to the Settings app on your iPhone, then scroll down to the Camera settings. At the top of the Camera settings, select "Formats" and change the setting to "Most Compatible." Apple has created these new formats that work very well on their devices but personally I have issues when I start using them on anything non-Apple. HEIC is the still image and HEVC is the video form of the same technology. Can I ask how you know that it's making JPEG files in your camera roll?

Omg so tiny! Let's take a closer look. Is your video just this clip, or do you have multiple assets or pieces of media? Does the scale work if you adjust the slider under "Scale"? Attached a screenshot to show you where it is. Let me know about what types of clips you have! Rush uses the first item you select as the point of reference for what size to make your video, so I'm thinking it might even be worth it to start a new sequence and add your facecam video first, and use that as the size.

Hi Tara! Not sure if you're on a mobile device or a computer, so I'll try to give instructions for both! Look for the section of the app that says "Transform" or "Crop & Rotate." It should look like a little picture frame with arrows on either side of it. Inside that menu, you'll see some options to "Fit" or "Fill" your image! That will automatically scale your clip up to fill the image and get rid of the extra space around the video. If you would like more control, look for the section that says "Scale." There are some controls there that you can use to scale/size your clip up/down. The effects will be applied to the clip that is highlighted orange on your timeline, where all your clips are. Hey territ0ry, let's take a look. I would guess that your footage is being shot in HDR color spaces, which is not supported in Rush's editing workflow. On your phone, go to the Settings app, scroll down to go to the Camera settings, then see if you have "Smart HDR" footage enabled. Try disabling it and see if the new clips display well in Rush! On export, make sure you're using one of the specific presets, like Facebook 1080, as opposed to the default "Automatic" setting. Let us know if the color looks better!

Hi Alizee! Let's see how we can help. Try using the toolbar at the top of your screen to go to View>Use Optimized Clips and select it. If that doesn't restore your image, try using the toolbar to go to View>Preview Quality and set the quality to "Low." If that doesn't work, you can reset your preferences by closing Rush, then holding down CTRL+ALT+SHIFT on your keyboard when you launch your app! Keep holding it down until a window appears asking if you want to reset your preferences. Say yes! If that doesn't work, please share your system details (OS, RAM, CPU, GPU) so we can provide more personalized solutions.

Hi Lee, sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but we don't have this effect available in Premiere Rush! If you have a Rush subscription, you have access to Creative Cloud Express, where you could add a sticker/shape to cover any part of the photograph that the client doesn't want shown! After you've covered it, then you can import it into Rush and edit your video as usual. Let us know if you have any follow-up questions! Caroline

Catfig – For export issues, you can have some luck by untwirling the "Advanced Settings" menu and changing the export preset from "Automatic" to one of the specific options. CPointe – I wonder if it has to do with where you're importing files from? Are you just using something directly from your camera roll on your iPad?

Hey StephanieK! Sounds like some of your clips got left behind on the iPad when you switched to your phone! I would try going back to the iPad and checking that your project is all there. Then once you've confirmed that, go to the Home screen and use the ... menu on your project to turn cloud sync off! Then wait like, 5 minutes, then turn it back on! If you open the project after you turn the sync back on, you'll be able to see a blue circle in the top right that shows you the progress of the sync. Wait until the blue circle goes all the way around, then go to your iPhone and open Rush! Your project should be there, along with all your media. Let us know if re-syncing all the clips works or not!

Hi there! Let's take a look. Re-scaling a clip is heavy on your graphics processor, I wonder if we can lighten the load. Have you already tried choosing software encoding from the Export Settings window? I also wonder if there's some strange hack like maybe, instead of scaling your 4K clips down to 50% using the Effects Control panel, we can try one of the other methods of resizing a clip. Set the 4K clips back to 100% scale, then right-click them and select "Scale to frame size" or "Set to frame size" and see how they export. Just a shot in the dark but wondering if that would affect the way Premiere processes it. Let us know how it's going!

I am not able to reproduce it because I don't have access to an indoor office with fluorescent lighting! Some indoor lighting flickers like that, I think the camera is just picking up on it. If it doesn't occur in outdoor lighting, then my recommendation would be to use lower frame rate when you're filming inside.

Hey PointCardinal! You can use Auto-Volume to let Rush pick a good level for your track overall, and you can use Auto Duck to automatically raise and lower the volume in reference to other audio in the project. So if you've got a voiceover that comes in and out over the course of the project, Auto Duck will lower the volume when the VO is talking and raise the volume in the spaces between each VO clip. Hope that answers your question!
