Do your arrow keys work in other apps? If not, then it may be the keyboard is the problem. I also found this from another forum: Make sure under Preferences: General that your KEYBOARD INCREMENT is greater than 0, for example, set it to 0.0139 in.

If your scratch disk is full, then you need to delete files to make more room on your hard drive. Otherwise you need to get a larger hard drive. If you can move items to your Cloud from your hard drive, that is the first to try. Have you run any disk utility? Restart your computer after running one.

It's hard to tell from your screenshot, but look in preview mode to see if the outlines of those shapes are truly touching. If not, then nudge the top shape down slightly and try using pathfinder to unite the shapes again.

Can you take a screenshot of the error you receive when trying to import? Maybe something to try; Take the pen tool (p) in illustrator . Add points along the path everywhere. Make sure all of your strokes are expanded first.

72 points = 1 inch so just multiply how many inches the document is supposed to be by 72 to get your points. For example: 5 inches x 72 points = 360 points Also, note: In any length or width field, you can type particular units like "pt" after your measurement value and hit enter, no matter what your document units are set at.

OK, after placing your file in Indesign, then right click the image to get to a sub-menu. - choose Effects..Transparency - change basic blending mode to "Multiply".

This is rudimentary. but is this what you are trying to accomplish? If so, I just set the background "snowflake" lines and set the transparency to multiply. then made an elliptical shape, filled it with color and placed it behind the black lines.

For some reason I can't play your video. As far as the white background, go to file preferences and selected "user interface" and under "Canvas Color" choose "Match User Interface brightness". Mine works when I do that. Resizing a shape works for me without going to a transform palette. Select the shape, then hover over the corner edge until your pointer turns to a double-sided arrow icon, then hold shift key and click and drag to resize shape.

If you don't have Pantone Color Manager software installed (which allows you to update your Pantone Libraries), then all you can really do is search for the pantone color name on pantone's website and get the CMYK, HEX, or RGB values to use instead.

If you don't have editable text and the letters are outlined, then select the letters and make them a compound path first before assigning a gradient color.

I agree with Monika, you probably have different document profiles. Go to Edit...Color Settings, and then make sure you both have the same profile plugged into the CMYK field.

To add to what Chad said above, I either snap to point on the repeating elements to make sure they are truly touching OR use pathfinder to join same fill colored shapes before making a pattern.

Have you checked your appearances panel to see if maybe something is grouped? Sometime ungrouping can show underlying transparencies.
