You could select your polygon shape separately from the spokes, and go to "Effect" menu, select "Stylize", then "Rounded corners...". Type in your rounded corner radius desired. then you can select your spokes and change the stroke weight to have a rounded cap and corner.

Just wondering how high their output device prints? For example, if you saved out your file at 1200 dpi, would that work? Your input is only as good as their output device's capability. But saving it out with that higher dpi compared to 300 dpi png is noticeably cleaner.

If your original logo is in pixels, then all you can do is make it smaller to maintain the same quality as your original. Increasing the logo size will degrade the quality. I'd recommend redrawing your logo in Illustrator to make it a vector format. This will allow you to scale it any size with 100% quality.

I agree, it looks like you may have accidentally made your shape a guide. Select your object, then Select "View" from your top menu bar, next, select "Guides", finally, select "Release guides".

Do you have Adobe Bridge? If you launch it and navigate to your file within that app, then you can view the file properties, which will show the version of Illustrator the file was originally created in.

I use Excel 365. While in Illustrator, copy your artwork. Next, go to your excel document. Choose "Edit", then "Paste Special" from the menu and make sure the PDF radio button is selected, then click "OK".

Here are a few help docs from adobe site. First you would need to use your pen tool to draw a curvy path or line. Another approach to try is if you use your solid arrow tool you can click on one red line to select it. Next, go to your top menu bar and choose "Select", then "Same", then "Stroke Color. This will select all red strokes and you can change the color to all red lines at once.

Have you used pathfinder to merge the shapes to become on piece? It appears that there are 3 shapes in the darker red color, and 2 shapes in the lighter red color.

You'll have to select the multiple objects (except for the shape you wish to minus front from), then make a compound path out of them. Next, select your top object as well as the compounded objects and minus front from the pathfinder tools.

FlyingPeterPan.ai - Google Drive Here is a link to an .ai file from my Google drive with a vector black and white made from the original png image. I had to take it into Photoshop first and convert it to a grayscale image, then add a levels adjustment layer so I could make the image 100% black. Next, I placed the image into a new Illustrator document. Finally, I traced the image and adjusted the threshold and other settings in the trace panel until achieving a pretty close desirable result, and expanded the trace in order to have vector elements.

It looks like you have over a million points in the original file you are importing. I'd suggest working in smaller sections. Is there anyway to simplify the file in Sketchup or native app before exporting a dxf file so that it doesn't import with so many points in Illustrator?

Have you tried exporting it as a Normalized PDF? Not sure if that is an available option with your setup. If you are doing a "Save As" command to make your PDF, have you played around with changing the Compatibility to Acrobat, such as 'Acrobat 5 (PDF 1.4)"? Seems like there might be a transparency issue of sorts.

I would suggest selecting and expanding both strokes. Then, select both of the expanded object, go to your Pathfinder menu and click on the "divide" icon. Next, use your hollow arrow tool to select the top portion that you want to delete and hit delete key.

This is very frustrating. I'm at work and have been on my mac for well over 2 years and this morning, the Illustrator app will not launch. It is stuck on the initializing window message. I restarted, and it STILL won't launch. How the heck did this happen?! I haven't changed ANYTHING to my computer.

If you setup your artboard to the finished cut size, then export as a normalized PDF (if you have that option?), then it only reveals the artwork that is on the artboard, not anything that extends beyond the artboard.

Don't flatten Photoshop file, save layered. Then, within Adobe Illustrator, Select "File", then "Place". Navigate to your saved Photoshop file and select it.

This is on CC 2014, Mac OSX 10.11.6. There are several in my department that have run across this same issue, too. We can't figure it out. Due to limiations of our rip software/esko plug-ins, we cannot use new CC updates.

OK, I run into this often enough that it drives me crazy. When working within Illustrator, sometimes bolded lines appear between layers. When I try to click on a specific layer name, it selects these bolded lines and will not allow me to select the layer (it is unlocked, by the way). This also happens on occasion when trying to select a color swatch from my list view of document swatches. The only workaround is to quit and relaunch Illy. Is this a bug in Creative Cloud?
