If, as Brad suggested, resaving as AI is not an option, you can copy objects that in the EPS that have the colors you want and paste them into Illustrator. Dragging them to the Swatches panel will add them to the file. Not the most convenient method, but an option.

When your cursor is in the Font Size box, If you hold down the Shift key while hitting the up arrow key, you will get larger increases; down arrow key for larger decreases in font size.

Illustrator is not very accurate when equalizing the sides. In your example, it would seem from the tool tip that each side would end up measuring 29.25, but that is not the case. Are the gray lines selectable and deletable if you choose the Edit PDF command, select the Edit icon and click on a line? Is there a layer icon on the left side of the PDF, and is a layer possibly locked? You could unlock it and then delete the lines.

As 'Enthusiastic' mentioned, Acrobat has an OCR feature which will convert text in an image to editable text. It's a great feature, but If you use this feature, proofread the file because there may be unrecognized areas in the OCR.

You should be able to click on 'Edit PDF' in the righthand panel. Then click the 'Edit Text and Images' icon at the top of the window. Click on the image you want to edit to select it. Right click and from the drop down menu, select 'Edit Using", and choose the image editor program you want to use to edit the image. Of course, if it is an image, which you seem to indicate, you will not be able to edit individual text characters that may appear on the image.

To put a text frame within another text frame, first create one text frame. Enlarge the frame if you need to make room for another frame within it. Create a second text frame. Selecct the second text frame with the Selection tool, cut it. With the Type tool, click inside the first text frame where you want to place the second text frame, and Paste it. If you want to remove a text frame that is nested within another text frame, select it with the Selection tool. Cut it. Click ouitside the original text frame and Paste. I hope this helps.

I can't tell from your screen capture which text you are referring to. If you want to edit part or all of the text on a path, you need to select it with the Type tool. It doesn't need to be the Type on a path tool to make a seletion; it can be the regular Tylpe tool. If you want to edit ALL of the text that is on a path, you can select the path with the black Selection tool. If the text on a path is part of a group, you may have entered Isolation Mode. That could prevent selecting parts of a group. If you are in Isolation Mode, you can click the left pointing arrow in the upper left to get out of it.

Depending on the rest of your image, this would probably best be done in Adobe Illustrator. If you need to do it in Photoshop, you could try this: Select the Custom Shape tool. In the Options bar, click the down arrow next to Shape. Expand All Legacy Default Shapes folder. There are 2 heart shapes in that folder that you could use. In the Options bar you can choose stroke color, stroke width, etc. In the Properties panel, you may want to choose round corners to smooth the bottom point of the heart. The shapes are vector, so they will have smooth edges.

Start by making a selection around the area where you want the cigar image. Then choose Edit > Generative Fill. In the Generative Fill dialog box, type what you want. For example: cigar, or cigar with smoke. In the Properties panel you will see 3 choices. If none are to your liking you can click Generate in the Properties panel.
