Hi everyone, I'm using an Epson V370 Photos Scanner to scan in a heap of old photographs. I just have some questions regarding the settings: Should I have 256 greys selected or Thousands of Greys? As they're greyscale images, I have “Black and White” selected but is there any advantage to choosing colour over "Black and White"? The resolution goes up to 6400 but I chose 800. Is that too little or too much resolution? When previewing the scan and after scanning, there’s a small shadow between the bottom of the image and the scanner glass. This might be because the image must not be sitting entirely flat on the scanner glass. Should I place a book on top of the images and then close the scanner top before scanning in order to eliminate this shadow? When trying to digitise old images, is it better to photograph the image or scan it in? The reason is that I'm finding a lot of small scratches etc. on the images once scanned so I thought photographing them might be a better option. Would really appreciate tips! Thanks in advance. ... Hi everyone, I have the latest version of Premiere Pro v. 13.03. My operating system is MacOS Mojave v. 10.14.3. As mentioned in another post, when I open up my project the audio does not play. I've tried soloing and un-soloing the track as suggested in other threads but this has not helped. I'm still getting 5 conforming errors. The errors seem to be related to the type of file it's trying to conform, eg. "Conforming VTS_01_3.VOB". I downloaded an earlier version of Premiere - v 2017.1.2 release, then opened up the same project, and I'm having no problem at all. Can someone please tell me if the latest version of Premiere is clashing with the latest version of Mac OS? I also wondered whether it could not handle .VOB files but then I read that other people were having the same problems even with .VOB files. Could someone from Adobe help with this as it's clearly some clash between the updated software and my operating system. Appreciate any help. ... View more

Hi everyone, I'm using Premier Pro CC v 13.0. I have a .prproj file open that contains a number of clips. When I play one of the clips it plays perfectly, ie. both video and audio but when I try to play other clip the video plays but it doesn't play the audio. I noticed that it seemed to be performing a conform action and I got 5 of the following errors: An unspecified error occurred while performing a conform action on the following file: /Users/ABC/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/Media Cache Files/VTS_01_2.VOB 48000.cfa I wondered if someone could tell me what the above error means and why it won't play the audio for this particular clip. Hi everyone, I'm trying to create a repeating honeycomb pattern made out of hexagons. I need there to be a small gap between each hexagon. I've started by creating 7 hexagons as seen in the screenshot below but would need the pattern to repeat seamlessly, ie. with each one hexagon moving out from the next. The white space between the shapes is actual space, not a white stroke. Because the shapes aren't right up against each other and because there's a definite amount of equal space that separates each hexagon, I'm having problems creating the pattern. Hi everyone, I have a whole lot of old Adobe Software when they used to be on CD and DVDs. Examples are: Adobe Illustrator 8.0 and 10 Adobe Photoshop 5.0, 6.0, 7.0 Adobe Indesign CS3 Adobe Dimensions 3.0 Adobe Streamline 4.0 Adobe PageMaker 6.5 Adobe Create Suite 6 Master Collection Now that Adobe only offers online subscriptions I wondered if it was necessary to keep any of these older versions. I assume that they wouldn't be compatible with newer operating systems as time passes and therefore the software wouldn't be worth holding onto. Hi everyone, I have an epson inkjet printer and I’ve opened a pdf file up in Photoshop and printed borderless printing. When I printed it out though, the left side of the paper was correct, ie. the pattern printed perfectly and borderless, however on the right side of the page is 3 lines of large text and a small symbol above the text. All these elements have a black applied to them (C: 60 M: 40 Y: 40 K: 100) but when it was printed, it only printed the outline of the text and symbol but not the fill. I’ve already printed a large colour image in photoshop and it printed correctly therefore it must be some settings in the print dialogue box that is causing this but I don’t know how to fix it. I’m printing on linen board but I actually chose photo gloss paper so I don’t know if this would be the problem. I wondered if anyone could help me troubleshoot? Would really appreciate any help. ...
